Our stay at Cuilin Lodge was a wonderful experience!!!! The home is well appointed and very roomy. Very comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. The owners even greeted us with a few food essentials. After a very long day of travel from Texas, it was so much appreciated!!! The split floor plan allows for great privacy, yet the common area was a great place to gather with the family. We had 8 people and it was quite comfortable. The back deck was great for both dining and relaxing. Just a short drive to the city center. Its a wonderful base for exploring beautilful County Kerry and its surrounding area.

Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Great base for golfers.

We were a group of four golfers looking for a place that was centrally located for our trip to the best golf Southwest Ireland had to offer. Cuilin Lodge turned out to be that place. The accommodations were perfect for us in that the four of us each had our own bedroom and bath. This made for quick and easy preparation for our daily trips to the courses we played. The lodge was quite spacious with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the privacy and comfortable surroundings it provided. It is well appointed and was everything promised when we booked online. I would recommend Cuilin Lodge for families and larger groups as well as the owners have made it very comfortable for any type of gathering. Very close proximity to Killarney town centre which anyone would find an enjoyable place to spend a few days. Would definitely recommend and will be back again ourselves.

A memorable week. Would rent again and recommend to others without hesitation. Exceeded expectations based on the photos and description provided. House is perfect for large group or 2 families staying together. Every need that a vacationing family might have has been thought of. Plenty of space for communal gatherings as well as privacy for every bedroom. Having rented other properties from other owners before, I really appreciated that a small supply of essentials (e.g. dish washing detergent, toilet paper, etc.) was provided for us. Seems like a small thing, but we've stayed in places where you had to buy EVERYTHING and it is really a hassle, especially for short stays. Owners nearby, very helpful and friendly. Came and gave overview of how everything in the house worked. Provided helpful suggestions about touring in the area, where to obtain groceries, activities for the kids, etc. Kids had a great time playing soccer/football in field, exploring stream, etc. Very responsive and easy to deal with regarding initial reservation, payment, etc. Location excellent as well. Secluded site, felt like you were in the wilderness, but only a few minutes by car from the center of Killarney. Killarney is a great place to stay -- close to national park, easy to get to Ring of Kerry, Dingle peninsula, etc. Had never been to Ireland before, but were very impressed with beauty of the scenery, friendliness of the people. Would do it all again!

Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our week at Cuilin Lodge was perfect. The home is very comfortable for a large group. With 5 toilets and 4 showers getting up and out in the mornings was easy. The kitchen is more than adequate and having a washer/dryer on site allowed us to catch up. Sitting on the deck every morning and evening with a cup of tea was my routine. The river walk is a must as well. The owner's dogs Jake and Copper will help you find your way. Killarney is a great place to base out of to see Ireland. Coming home to such a relaxing and peaceful setting made it all that much better. We hope to have a reunion some year and will be staying again at Cuilin Lodge again.

Owner response:Such a response is very rewarding for us. All our guests are equally happy and are as enthuasiastic about Cuilin Lodge when leaving as when they arrive. The most repeated reaction from our guests is that the website does not do Cuilin Lodge justice. Many are also pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness and the excellent layout, number of bathrooms etc.
