We pick a new place every year for our extended family vacation. We have never stayed at such a lovely place before. We always come with our own knives, cookware etc, because usually what is provided is basic at best. What we have here is better than a 5 star hotel...spotless, beautifully decorated, quality throughout! There was nothing lacking. We may have to change our ways and return to this place again and again. Everything was as it was described and more. WOW! This was one of the most outstanding places we have stayed. The photos don't do it justice. It was very clean, all amenities were top quality. The beds were very comfortable. It is so roomy that everyone can be all together or a person can have their own space. The game room was great, and so many TV choices. It is so nice that the "little" things are provided, such as spices in the kitchen, laundry detergent. All of the little things that you need but don't want to pack were available. We intend to return. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting that area. The owners are very nice to work with and very accessible.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

In our many years of renting vacation homes, this is by far one of the most well maintained and welcoming houses we have had the pleasure of renting. It has so much space for the children to spread out downstairs and the gameroom kept everyone entertained with the various game tables and video game systems. The adults enjoyed the gorgeous views from the screened in porch. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to prepare meals. It was also very nice to have a garage for loading/unloading our luggage and groceries. The house is located just across the road from the indoor water park and just minutes from the slopes. Paula was very professional and helpful in every way. We would highly recommend this house and look forward to visiting again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The lisitng for this property was all that it included and more. The photos didn't show the property off in it's entirety! There were so many more amenities then what was shown in the discription. This house was immaculate and well maintained. The owner paid attention to every detail when supplying this house. We arrived on a Sunday for Thanksgiving with Family and friends, we were welcomed by a 9 foot christmas tree and LED candles throughout the house. The colors of the lit 9 foot christmas tree matched all the decorations of the home! When I say every detail--- she didn't miss anything! The owner was very helpful and didn't mind answering all my questions (and I had many). She was very prompt to respond. She was very, very easy to deal with. The fluffy towels, the comfortable beds, flat screen televisions in every room and DVD players made our stay an enjoyable one (especially when you can watch your favorite show without inturruptions). The video games were a big hit. We didn't have to bring one game or movie.We're still talking about the game room. It was enjoyed by all ages. We are planning to come back very soon. If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay , and you like to pack light this is it! You don't have to bring anything but your luggage.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our group of 4 adults and 6 children LOVED this home! It was immaculately clean, beautifully furnished, and full of fun things to do. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, with paper towels, dish and dishwasher soap, spices - even tin foil and ziploc bags. The house was great. We hiked and toured all day and spent the evenings enjoying the games, games systems and peacefulness at the house. We ate in some days and out others. The owners provided a lot of infprmation about the surrounding area. We didn't even get to use the resort we were too busy. I hope to go back some day, maybe with our granddaughter. We don't know where to begin, but i will start with this, this home was the BEST home away from home my family and I have ever stayed in! The home was immaculent, the pictures do not do the justice because this home is absolutely beautiful with modern furniture, amenities and extras. We only had to bring food and our belongings and we felt at home. We had 10 family members stay, 6 adults and 4 teenagers and 1 8 year old and EVERYONE was happy with their sleep accomodations, activities and spacious living. The Owner of the home is very professional, responds quickly and is one of the NICEST people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. My family and I are looking at the calendar to book our next vacation and stay in THIS property!!! Thank you VRBO for posting THIS property or else we NEVER would have found it and been so pleasantly surprised!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Spent Labor Day weekend here with 7 of my closest girlfriends. We had a wonderful time. The owners were excellent to deal with. The house is fabulous with gorgeous wooded setting. Very well maintained, beautiful home. The bedding and towels were top quality. The kitchen had great appliances, cookware, dishes and glassware. The house was so comfortable, everything was immaculate and maintained. We had an easy time finding the house and loved the view(even saw a deer on Christmas morning). Mrs. Lockhart was so very kind and professional in all of our communications. The home is actually prettier than the photos portray, we were so pleased with everything. I have given the property the highest recommendations to friends and family here in NC and in VA. A perfect house to rent at Massanutten, loved being there.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is the first time we stayed at Massanutten. I searched high and low and must of looked at everything to rent and this was by far the best place. We loved everything about the house . Every detail was covered, beautiful dishes, emeril and cuisinart appliances, teas , coffee, sugar, salt n pepper, laundry detergent toilet paper and paper towels,ping pong, xbox360, wiii, xbox, air hocky, foosball, pool. The home is clean and has beautiful wood floors throughout. Has 2 private decks with an overlook to the side of the mountain. My daughter saw a black bear in the morning and the drive up to the ski area was very close. A deer even walked up to the truck window. It was for sure a home away from home. The owner Paula, Is the sweetest woman ever. All the instructions and care for the home are written and placed around the house so you know what to do...
