Cottage Overview: Our cottage is fully furnished with all the comforts of your own home. Gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, gas range, hardwood floors, stacked stone gas fireplaces, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Sleeps up to 8 people, King bedroom, queen bedroom, and 2 sets of bunk beds, screened porch with fireplace and mountain views, Cable TV and DVD, phone, etc.

Bring your family's best friend on vacation with you as well, our home is also Pet Friendly!

Community Overview: Bear Lake Reserve is a gated mountain and lakefront retreat featuring hiking trails, boat, canoe, and kayak rentals, or bring your own boat, fishing in Bear Lake as well as stocked trout ponds, outdoor fireplaces, camping areas, community pavilions, new mountain top Jack Nicholas Design Golf Course, Lake Lodge with clubhouse, pools, spas, fitness center, sauna, steam room, bar, casual and formal dining rooms, children's activities, business center with high speed internet, etc. Fees vary based on the aforementioned (i.e. golf, boat rentals, Lake Lodge, etc.) Bear Lake offers to many features to list. Bear Lake Reserve has all the amenities one needs or you can visit nearby Cashiers, Sylva, and Highlands.

Getting Here: Bear Lake is located approximately 165 miles or 2.5 hours from both Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC. We are 60 Miles or 1.5 hours from Asheville, NC. Only 15 Miles to both Cashiers and Sylva, NC and approximately 27 miles to Highlands, NC. Major airports can be found in Charlotte, Atlanta, and Asheville.

  • What a wonderful cottage! Perfect for a family trip. Furnished beautifully with a well-equipped kitchen. The outdoor fireplace was perfect for cool fall nights. We didn't get the chance to spend much time at the Lake Club, but did stop by to check it out and will definitely come back when we can enjoy the lake activities and the pool.
