The Oceanfront Kona Reef Resort is just two blocks to town, and is a wonderful resort for a vacation stay. The condo is fully equipped with full kitchens, washers and dryers in the unit, king size bed, air conditioning, covered lanai, ceiling fans, high speed DSL WiFi and much, much more.
This resort is just 30 feet from the water with a beautiful oceanside pool and a jacuzzi, and outdoor gas grills. It is without a doubt the most convenient location to Kailua-Kona.
Completely remodeled throughout, the condo is clean, modern, and comfortable. Very suitable for a stay from just a few days to a month or more.
One big advantage to the Kona Reef Resort is the close proximity to Kona Town. You can easily walk to the shops or restaurants, so you do not need to drive every time you want to go to town. Plus there is a nice sandy beach just a few steps away where you can swim or just relax. The Kona Reef offers convenience and value.

Rented this unit from owner for two weeks. The unit itself was pretty much as represented. The bed was comfortable, the linens definitely in need of upgrading. Though the unit was airconditioned, the bedroom location did not benefit from the air unless the unit was left on 24/7. The location of the unit in the Kona Reef Complex was not what I expected. This unit was very noisy from early morning to late at night due to its immediate proximity to Alii Drive and its significant traffic level. We did have a view of the ocean and the adjacent beach park. What the photo from the deck does not show is the proximity to Alii drive right behind the divider on the deck. The old louvered glass windows did little to aleviate the noise. Would I stay at the Kona Reef again? Yes. This unit......no way. Chris
Owner response:The ac unit has been replaced All of the windows have been soundproofed except the Lanai window & door. The Lanai window & door face the ocean and park. You can still hear the ocean waves. But all the street noise through the windows has been eliminated. Like everything else new windows require new window treatment. Everything was completed in December 2011.
