This 1940's original Deco/Modern home features original woodwork, lighting and design elements and is impeccably appointed with period furnishings and art. Heister House is the vacation home for the discriminating visitor with an eye for style and design. May not be suitable for children due to fine furnishings, art and decor. The home is adjacent to Thonhoff Park and Salida's Art Deco courthouse in an attractive neighborhood walking distance from downtown.
An ideal home for an extended stay, Heister House offers wireless internet, a laser printer and fax and two office areas for the working vacationers. Dine at the round table in the windowed alcove and relax in the sophisticated living room, or by the fireplace in the lower level family room.*** The home features three bedrooms (beds include one full, one queen and one king) and two baths (one with tub only, one with shower). Walk to town for morning coffee and the quaint galleries, shops and restaurants of historic Salida. Heister House is conveniently close to the Salida SteamPlant Theater and Conference Center.
All vacation homes in the Pinon collection are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided as well as tp, trash bags and coffee filters. Bring your own HIGH EFFICIENCY laundry detergent, paper products (paper towels, napkins) and toiletries.
Three night minimum is preferred, however, two nights may be available upon approval (add $40 cleaning fee). Two night stays may not be scheduled over two weeks in advance during High Season and Holidays. Owners reserve the right to accept or refuse three night stays during High Season and Holidays. Ask about our PARTY OF TWO DISCOUNT. Extended stay rates are available subject to owner use and availability at a monthly rate. Please read rental policies (tab at bottom of page). Published seasons and rates are for pricing purposes only. Actual availability is subject to owner use. The $45 booking fee applies towards the cleaning cost (with a 3 night stay) and covers accidental damage protection up to $1500. An additional $40 cleaning fee will apply with a 1 or 2 night stay.
Visa or Master Card may be accepted with a 2.9% cc fee or pay by check. Last minute reservations generally require credit card payment unless other arrangements are made. Rental agreements must be signed and returned by email or mail at time of reservation.
Cancellation Policy A reservation may be cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in but may be subject to a $75 cancellation fee. Sorry, no refunds will be given for reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to check-in unless the unit can be re-rented for the same dates, or, in some cases at manager's discretion, you move your reservation to another date.

Our two month stay at the Heister House was truly an amazing experience. It was like stepping back in time while having all the technical amenities of today (wireless, internet, big screen TV, etc.). We loved the location & usually walked downtown for dinner and shopping. This spacious home was perfect; we each had our own office & computers in the basement. Deer viewing on many mornings & evenings was an added plus!

The loyal crew from Wyoming thanks you so much for an amazing stay. The place is beautiful, the grill is superb, and whitewater was increadible. Could not have asked for a better stay. Again, thank you so much, we'll look you up next time we are headed this way.
