Great location and well appointed vacation rental. I had to come in to town for business for a few days and needed something that felt like home. This one did the trick, nice large kitchen, easy parking and close to downtown. Would stay there again next visit for sure!

Nice location. Plenty of places to eat nearby. One word of caution? the Urban Market at the corner is CRAZY expensive. :D There's a Safeway close on Market Street. The radiant heated floors, steam/sauna thing in the Master Bathroom, Professional grade kitchen appliances, and all the other amenities, made the Sumner House a great vacation home.

Quintessential San Francisco urban living. The location was convenient near the Civic Center. It's thoughtfully and nicely appointed, clean, and just like the photos. We had great service. We had one small issue which the owner got fixed right away. We want to go back!

Thank you for a wonderful place to stay. We were in town for a friend’s wedding and were excited the group able to stay together. The home was beautiful (just like the pictures show), spacious and extremely clean. The location was quiet, and just a few blocks away from the BART and busses as well as great restaurants. On the third day of our stay, Sergio called to check-in and see if we needed anything. Great customer service from the start to finish. Our only complaint is that we wished we could have used the rooftop patio, but we were so busy seeing San Francisco, time did not allow. We had a great vacation and enjoyed our stay at the Sumner House!

well, we are packing up to leave after our week here and we must say that we had the most wonderful experience here at Sumner house in San Francisco/Napa. We did and saw all we wanted and more! The kitchen was beautiful! Nicer than ours at home! The mattresses were also very comfortable, and our guest, from ,France, slept very well in spite of jet lag! We also have established that the bread from Tartine bakery is the best on the planet! Thanks again, Best regards, Telia K

Coming from one city that-s quite large I never expected to find such a wonderful home on such a small street. Having this place with so many things that are minutes from the door to the great food, this house was that lil' cherry on top of a sundae. with Peace, land, and bread Charley C*** The city so nice they named it twice.

Just return from a stay here with my husband and 17 month old daughter. The three of us were there for two nights alone and then were joined by my parents for two more nights, so 4 nights total. The hosts, Sergio and Celeste, are gracious, helpful, couldn't ask for more. They live upstairs and so this is not like an absentee landlord situation, the property is beautifully maintained, meticulously upkept and nothing has been left unnoticed. I can't say enough good things-- steam shower is luxurious, heated floors are spectacular, the kitchen is well stocked and well appointed. It is located on a quiet street in a busy neighborhood -- the back bedroom is quieter than the front where you *sometimes* get traffic noises in the wee hours so we put our daughter in that room to sleep but it really wasn't an issue. I emailed several questions to Sergio and Celeste both before booking and prior to our arrival and each time got a prompt, courteous and helpful answer. On our arrival day we had some trouble with our entry code and I called Sergio who answered right away and got us in no problems. The parking (available for $12) is such a beautiful perk although you really don't need a car in this city -- we only had it because we were headed to wine country afterward. This is in the SOMA neighborhood and the entire place has such a wonderful vibe with great restaurants and child friendly activities within walking distance. We rode the 14 bus all over the city and my daughter loved it!! We will surely be staying again on our next trip to San Francisco and will recommend this to our friends. The roof deck was spectacular and it felt like our own private oasis. You know its a great experience when you are sad to leave. In fact, my husband even took several photos of the kitchen in hopes of reproducing it when we remodel our kitchen in a few years.

Our family had a great stay at the Sumner House! The remodeled home is beautiful and very comfortable for our family of five. We would have liked to have more time to enjoy the upscale kitchen but were busy visiting friends in the East Bay, sightseeing, and indulging in famous San Francisco sour dough bread! The location was quiet and provided very easy access to the highway. Trader Joe's, our favorite store when we used to live in the Bay Area, is a short drive. It was convenient having the garage, although a car smaller than our mini-van would be much easier to turn into the garage from the narrow street. We really enjoyed the steam shower and the rooftop views were pretty at night. We had a fun vacation and enjoyed staying in the beautiful Sumner House.

My husband, 2 kids, and I had such a comfortable stay at Sumner House. Garage was major. Instantly felt at home. We enjoyed walking to Westfield and Yerba Buena. Easy drive to any part of the City. Definitely made use of the Harvest Urban Market on the corner.
