Private and beautiful

Our family shared 5 nights together in this beautiful and private mountain home. The views were stunning. Lots of wildlife. Great location. Quiet and private. If you are looking for something fun to do, the South Platte River is a great tubing river. Just continue down highway 24 beyond Divide. There is a great little market that even sells tubes for $20! Great fun!

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is for you

We spent a week here in June and found it to be just as described, possibly more secluded than I expected but absolutely a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. We took outings everyday, including several to Mueller State Park (great for hiking) and The Crags. We also visited the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center and the Florissant Fossil site. We went whitewater rafting in Buena Vista, as well - a great adventure. You'll find everything you need for a comfortable stay here!

Owner response:KayLynn, We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay. I agree that it is peaceful and relaxing in a beautiful mountain environment. Making memories that last a lifetime is priceless! Thanks again and you are welcome to return anytime. Kindest regards, Sue

A wonderful place to stay....

We wanted to come to the Colorado Springs area for our family vacation. We love this website (VRBO) it was a great way to find a home to stay in. There were 7 of us and we wanted a home - not a motel - to stay in. This home is beautiful and clean and it added so much to our vacation. The owner was (and still is) very kind and quick in replying to questions as we made our plans. The location is BEAUTIFUL - very secluded. That's what we wanted - it took a little longer to get to the attractions than if we would have stayed in the city, but it's worth the drive. You get to drive through some beautiful scenery to get there. I would HIGHLY recommend this home to anyone. It's Pet friendly....that's another reason we decided on this house. Our daughter and son in law brought their Golden Retriever (Baxter) Colorado is a very dog friendly area. The descriptions of the house are very accurate. It does only have 1 bathroom but even with 7 of us, we worked around that. It wasn't a big problem. Some of our favorite activities were: Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge Bridge (much better than I expected) Pikes Peak. 4 in our group (our daughter, son in law, 2 of their friends) did the Manitou Incline and said it was the "hardest thing they've ever done" but said they would do it again. They LOVED it and said the views were incredible. The rest of us drove to Pikes Peak that day....it was beautiful. We also went to the Pikes Pike International Hill Climb. It's only held once a year but we happened to be there that weekend. We weren't sure what to expect but we had a great time. We met some wonderful people and enjoyed the day thoroughly.

9-7-09 This was a very relaxing week! Great location! Close enough to the activities we love to do. Dog parks, dining out, museums and a little gambling. Yet far enough to enjoy the peace and serenity of the mountains. We’re glad to have this opportunity to rest and relax. Thanks for your hospitality. Adele, SanDiego, California Cathy Indianapolis IN and Lucy woof woof PS We saw lots of chipmunks, squirrels, many beautiful birds and lots of deer including a momma deer and her two spotted fawns and a 10 point buck,-very handsome. Glimpsed a coyote/wolf down back of cabin. No bears. ?

9-3-09 to 9-7-09 We had a nice, relaxing time in your secluded cabin. The kids enjoyed exploring the woods and the games and movies too. It was a perfect Labor day weekend to spend with our son on his first free time away from the Air Force Academy. Thank you for sharing your cabin home. Tha Hantlas Wichita, Andover KS. 8-8-09 to 8-13-09 We had a great vacation in this cabin. We love the view and we saw several deer from the porch. We really enjoyed the whitewater rafting and having dinner at Flying W Ranch. On our way to the house we saw a mountain lion but we were disappointed about not seeing a bear. Thanks for renting us the house. The Allens and the Terveers

7-25-09 to 7-31-09 We enjoyed your home very much. Saw a deer everyday and a gray fox late one evening. Thanks. 6:20 am saw a big black bear out the East window walking ten feet or so beyond the white pipe. More brown in color than black. Exciting! Adrian, Tracy, Logan, Landon, and Megan Neals.
