  My husband and I, our two daughters and their husbands, and our four grandchildren just spent a wonderful week in Destin. The penthouse where we stayed was so spacious with an absolutely breathtaking view. The kitchen and dining areas were set up perfectly for a large group. We played board games at the dining room table almost every night. Our grandkids loved sitting at the bar to eat breakfast and lunch. We ate dinner out every night--our favorite restaurant was McGuire's, but we enjoyed all of our meals. The Harbor Walk was fun. We took a sailboat ride on a pirate ship, went to the Big Kahuna Water Park, and spent lots of time on the beach and in the pool. The owners of the penthouse were so helpful in making our reservations and answering any questions and concerns. We would definitely recommend this penthouse to our friends and relatives. It is a perfect place to stay if you want to have a vacation to remember. We want to extend a big "Thank You" to the owners for sharing their terrific penthouse!!!

  This condo was beautiful and SO spacious. We had 6 adults and 4 children. We knew 3 other couples that were staying in the area. They came over to visit along with all of their kids. (They were very envious of our place.) We had so much room to spread out. For large groups, I couldn't recommend a better place. I've been in other penthouses in the area and this one tops them all. We hope to be back every October!

  Our trip was a bust due to rain and high winds most of the weekend. We couldn't even use the property's hot tub because the wind broke a glass-topped table into it and it was closed the whole time. However, our penthouse unit was very nice. The living and kitchen areas have been redecorated and are gorgeous. The area is very spacious and we never felt closed in while we were stuck inside! The kitchen appliances were top of the line. The beds in my room were very comfortable, but the guests staying in the room with the full sized beds said the mattresses needed to be replaced. There are definitely room for improvements and upgrades, especially the bathrooms. There were a lot of little minor touch-ups needed in the bedrooms, too, that would make a whole lot of difference. However, the price was great and the unit overall very good! I would definitely stay again.

  We rental this condo for my daughter's wedding on the beach, the condo made a wonderful small reception for my daughter, it was picture perfect. I would stay here again and will recommend the condo to others.

  We have stayed at this location two times with my sister and her family and our mother. We have the best memories from these trips. The location is great right on beach, near restaurants, stores, etc. The pool is saltwater and is so relaxing. The gated parking is an nice safety feature along with the security code to take the elevator to penthouse level and entrance on & off beach. They updated kitchen when we came second time, very nicely done. The pictures are accurate they match look like the ones we took. We hope to stay again. Thanks for offering such a great place.

  First I would like to say the owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. That is really important when renting through VRBO especially when you have many questions that need to be answered prior to your arrival. We spoke many times through emails as well as telephone conversations. The group I visited Destin with did not really know what to expect. We were a group of 5 mothers and 10 daughters. As each mother arrived with their daughters they all said this was the most beautiful condo they had ever stayed at. The view from the balcony was fabulous. The kitchen/living/dining area was wonderful for our big group. The layout and flow was perfect for us. Very spacious. The bedrooms were comfortable. This is definitely THE place for a large family/group. This Penthouse was everything our group could have expected and then some. The elevator took us directly to our floor. It made the moms feel extremely safe if the girls rode up alone because we knew it only made 1 stop....directly to the Penthouse. I have stayed at many other condos in Destin over the years but they do not compare to this one at all! I have since recommended it to several of my friends/family but I don't want to tell too many people so it won't be booked the next time I want to visit. We WILL be back. This was 1 vacation that was enjoyed by all involed and I attribute it to the place we stayed. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay in your Penthouse and giving our group the experience of a lifetime we will treasure forever.

  This was the second time we stayed in this beautiful penthouse. Recently we reserved it again for a week in October 2010. Our extended family met for a vacation together, including our son and his wife and our teenage grandchildren, and we still had room for more—almost 3,000 sq. ft. and 4+ bedrooms. So spacious, it was perfect for our family get-together. The direct views of the Gulf and beach are stunning...couldn't be more beautiful. Owners recently remodeled the kitchen with upscale luxury appliances, designer counter tops and cabinets, and it is well equipped. The furnishings are very comfortable and perfect for Florida-casual entertaining. The owners made every effort to assure we had a wonderful vacation, and we appreciate their hospitality. They suggested points of interest, great restaurants, and things to do around Destin ( if the perfect white sand beach wasn’t enough). The unit was clean and well-maintained; we didn't have any maintenance issues, but local contact information was posted in case we needed anything. We hope this unit will be available again when we return to add to the wonderful memories we take from our vacations in Destin.

  We stayed two weeks in this condo in November of 2009. The condo itself is gorgeous, but the furniture is worn, dirty and needs replacing. The mattresses on all the beds are absolutely awful. They all sag, offer virtually no support and definately need to be replaced. The refrigerator is new, but was not working for ten of the fourteen days we were there. We threw out lots of food that spoiled and did our best to keep the rest cold by purchasing coolers and ice and had them sitting all over the place. We contacted the owner who was not helpful in solving this refrigerator problem. The building maintenance crew were awsome at trying to help us, but ultimately it came down to the owner being not willing to get involved, as they live in Colorado. We asked for compensation for the spoiled food and were told flatly no way. We would not stay here again based on our experience with the owner. We have stayed in many other units in Jade East and will definately choose Jade East again, just not this particular unit until updates are made and a new refrigerator installed.
