Great View - Not Great Condo

The view and location are amazing! The condo needs updated; 1980's ratan, no A/C, old hard beds. Too hot with windows closed, too loud with windows open...the birds start very early. Kitchen is very cramped and thermostat on oven doesn't work, many burnt meals. Condo layout is good (small) and nice to have TVs in all rooms, even though the bedroom TVs are old, small and one remote doesn't work. Units are very close to each other, no feel of privacy. This could be a great place with some attention put into it, but for now, there are many better options at better prices.

Owner response:Our condo was recently remodeled. It has new flooring, paint, electronics, and many new furnishings. Since it is located on the water, A/C is neither necessary nor permitted by our homeowner's association. This permits our guests to enjoy the gentle sounds of ocean waves, rather than A/C compressors. The remote has a new battery and functions normally. We have many excellent reviews and our 90%+ occupancy and many annual returning guests show why this oceanfront condo is one of our most popular vacation rentals. Wow do I miss drinking my coffee on the lanai looking out towards the ocean and listening to the surf. Amazing views, just like the site shows. Condo could be updated but was very clean and met expectations. No need for A/C while there in April, the windows and ceiling fans kept us quite comfortable. Thanks so much for helping make this vacation so wonderful for my family of four.

The view was fantastic and the condo had everything we needed for a fun vacation. I was concerned that there was no air conditioning but we did not need a/c at all. Great location. Would do it again.

We had a wonderful time and the condo was as advertized. Great location for getting to all parts of the island with everything you would actually need within walking distance. Snorkling within a short distance,right off the beach is an added bonus.

Great view, convenient location to shops, restaurants, grocery stores and, of course, the beach. Nice people to work with. We have stayed in this complex before and would do it again.

This Location and Condo is the best ever. Great location : beaches,shopping,snorkling and golf. We had a family reunion with my 2 brothers and wives . They loved it and we will plan to return again very soon. Aloha, Cindy

I was quite worried that the view might not quite be as it was pictured on the web site. To my delight the view from the lanai was more wonderful than I could have imagined - it is absolutely breathtaking! Right from the condo you walk out to a wonderful sandy beach with snorkeling too! What a location! The condo has everything you need to enjoy the beach and shopping is right across the street. I would definitely recommend renting this condo!

Thank you so much Grant and Lisa for the use of your condo. It was absolutely perfect for the 4 of us. Very comfortable and the location is ideal! Snorkeling out front, shopping out back, the boat ramp 1/2 mile away, the bus line right there. It was perfect! My only suggestions would be to swap the food and dishes cabinets so it would be possible to have the door to the dishwasher open and put the dishes away all at the same time. Again thanks! Norma

This is our second time at the Kamaole Nalu. The view from this condo is absolutely breathtaking, can can sit on your lanai & watch as the whales go by. There is a market right behind the condo so you don't have to go too far for anything. The condo is completely stocked with all the you need for the beach. We had a great vacation & will recommend this condo to our friends.
