Our private summer cottage is situated on three tranquil wooded acres with over 200' of beachfront on the Great Peconic Bay. The cottage is located behind the main house in a wooded glen, and the beautiful sandy private beach is less than 100 yards from the cottage with no roads to cross, and rarely a person in sight.
The cottage has a hammock and picnic table in the shady front yard and a new deck in the back off the screen porch. Inside, there is a spacious living room with cathedral ceiling, ceiling fan, comfy couches and a wood burning fireplace. Cable/TV and wireless Internet are included.
The screened porch provides a private haven on the back of the house with no visible neighbors and rarely a sound other than the birds and the breeze. It's the perfect place to read or nap. A new deck with gas grill just off the screen porch lets you cook and eat in complete privacy.
The master bedroom has a brand new queen-size bed and a private bathroom with shower. The reading room sits between the kitchen and the screened porch and has two full-sized futons plus plenty of light for reading. Upstairs is a large dormitory type of room with three twin beds in it, plus a full-size futon - perfect for kids or for guests. All three rooms are air conditioned, although there is usually a nice breeze and it's rarely needed.
The kitchen has a newly refinished wood floor and all new appliances, sink and countertop. There is a full bathroom with a shower off the kitchen.
We allow well behaved, friendly pets. Two dogs and three cats live in the front house.
We value peace and quiet and discourage parties and loud music. We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.
There is NO SMOKING permitted in the cottage.
Rentals are from May 1st thru October 31st as the Cottage is not winterized.

- Air Conditioning: There are two window air conditioners. One keeps the upstairs bedroom nice and cool. The second is in the reading room and can keep both it and the master bedroom cool. The masterbedroom is on the north side of the house and is generally pleasantly cool with a nice breeze.

- Suitability
- Pet Friendly: Two dogs and three cats live in the front house and are all very friendly. When not at the beach during the summer, they live in a bed and breakfast in NH and are used to people and activity. We allow pets in the cottage only if they are friendly, too! (No dog-eating cats, please... our felines don't know to run from a dog!)
- Kid Friendly: The private beach is sandy and the water is calm, clear and shallow - perfect for kids, ours are all grown now!
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: We do not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.
