This dog friendly 2 bedroom secluded home with hot tub, is located on several acres 1.5 miles from the town of Guerneville, surrounded by redwoods, apple trees, a small fish pond and offers beauty and peaceful surroundings. All rooms have double French doors letting in light and providing lovely views of the grounds. There are hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room/bar and hall. Wood burning stove in the living room provides warmth during the winter months. Walls are decorated with masks, rugs, bowls and exotic instruments from owner's world travels.
The living room has a wet bar with blender and ice bucket, television with surround sound, HBO, DVD player, and full stereo system. The bright large kitchen has everything you need to prepare great meals -- gas range, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster oven, cookware, spices and dishwasher. Large back bedroom has tile floors providing a cool room to rest during the day. This bedroom has a piano, desk/computer work area, satellite TV and queen bed. Front bedroom has a double bed, large closet and opens up to the deck and 6-person hot tub. The deck has comfortable seating for many people, redwood picnic table and gas barbeque with rotisserie. There is a stone patio with fire pit to enjoy the cool evenings and starry nights. A fairy grove of redwoods with terra cotta tile floors provides a cool place to sit during the hot afternoons.
Four bicycles and two kayaks are provided for your outdoor enjoyment. Beach chairs, inflatable toys, mats and umbrellas are provided for trips to the beach. Children’s toys and board games are available for everyone’s use.
Explore the Sonoma wine country, kayak or canoe the Russian River, hike the trails at Armstrong Woods Redwood State Park, or discover the tide pools of the coast, all just a short drive away from Mays Canyon. Walk or ride bikes to the quaint town of Guerneville and enjoy restaurants, coffeehouses, shops, bars, live theatre, and supermarket. Spend the day lazing on the River and retreat to Mays Canyon, sipping wine you just bought at one of the many wineries within 10 minutes of your front door. Ride bikes and do a lazy wine tour up Westside Road. Hop in your car and visit Occidental. Buy incredible bread in Freestone. Check out the art galleries in Bodega.
