Come and Share our Family's vacation "Home Away From Home"! This cute little "A" Frame Cabin is the perfect get away from the city. Whether a weekend or a week or more, you'll love spending cozy nights by the fire in winter after a great day of skiing at Dodge Ridge (less than an hour away) or warm sunny days at the beach followed by a BBQ dinner on the deck watching the deer in the summer! Nothing here is fancy so "come as you are"!
Groveland is the perfect little "Wild West" Town with history dating back to the Gold Rush era and the Iron Door Saloon is the oldest Saloon still in operation in California with live bands most weekends! Pine Mountain Lake also has an Equestrian Center where you can take a leisurely ride thru the hllls or bring your own horses and they will take care of them (contact the Equestrian center for fees and terms). There is also an airport if you'd rather fly in!
A short 40 minute drive will take you to beautiful Yosemite for breathtaking waterfalls, or the perfect hike... or 30 minutes to Sonora and Jamestown for Shopping or Movies...Columbia is just a bit further for real Gold Panning! There are movie theaters in Sonora, and Coulterville (about 30 minutes) is a great place to seek out just the right antique to bring home as your souvenier.
Relax on the deck, sun or swim at the beach or take a leisurely walk... You will find this community - and our home - to be a wonderful respite from city life.

Owner Description
Barry and Mindy met in Los Angeles in 1981 and were married in July of 1982. Barry is a "Rocket Scientist/Jock" who loves to play golf and Mindy is a Real Estate Broker who owns her own company as well as a Horse Rescue Operation in San Juan Bautista, Ca.where she teaches riding and competes state wide in the sport of Gymkhana.
Why the Owner Chose Groveland
We originally rented this home 3 times during the furst summer we discovered it. A friend referred us.....the 3rd time I saw it in a Real Estate Magazine & 3 of us decided to go in together to buy it! Several years later we bought them out and started our long process of remodeling it. Still not done, we kept it as our private home for years, but are renting it now due to the economy. We keep our daily rental price low becasue it is NOT yet perfect AND we want people to be able to come and enjoy our little piece of heaven.....
The Unique Benefits of this House/Cabin
We love the peace and quiet. Often, after a busy work week, Barry and Mindy will go up there, Barry plays a round of golf and Mindy relaxes on the deck reading a good book....when she doesn't bring a horse & ride from the stables!
