Located in Fairhope, Alabama the Grand Hotel Fish Camp was once part of the Grand Hotel Resort which is now a Marriott Resort and located on Mobile Bay. We are approximately 18 acres located on Cowpen Creek and Fish River which is a tidal river and is connected to Weeks Bay and then Mobile Bay and Gulf of Mexico.
Fish River has been designated as an ( ONWR ) Outstanding National Water Resource. The site also has historical significance as the location of the lost Wingender Pottery and during the Civil War as the encampment of General Camby before the last battle.
We are conveniently located to beaches, downtown Mobile, Dauphin Island, Sand Island, and the Mobile Delta. Ft. Morgan and Ft. Gaines are historical civil war forts open to the public as well as Historic Blakely Park.
The best times to visit are spring, summer, and fall. Our favorite times of the year are April-May and Sept. - November because we like cool nights and warm days. The summer is guaranteed to be warm nights and hot days; perfect for beach and water adventures!
We offer free golf, tennis, kayak and canoe pkgs. Customized packages for your personal interests are available for additional fees. There are so many choices, like Sand Island or a variety of river and eco tours, we just ask that you make your request and we will most likely be able to accommodate you.
You will find our accommodations very pleasant, clean and comfortable. We expect a certain high level of comfort and accommodations when we travel and we expect ourselves to deliver it for you.
We want you to enjoy your stay to the fullest whether the goal is to just relax in a beautiful private setting or fill your stay with as many adventures as possible we can arrange it. We look forward to your stay and offer Southern hospitality at its best! |
