Listening to my 'vacation' music on this quiet and cool (finally) early morning brings me back to the wonderful 60th birthday celebration week we spent at Casa Blanca. It was everything we imagined from the description and photos AND MORE! This house, its furnishings, amenities and setting is spectacular. Looking out the east windows is a feast for your eyes as they fall across the high plains desert framing the majestic Taos Mountains ...... this is undoubtedly what the early artisans traveling to the area saw, wanted to be a part of, and wanted to recreate in their paintings and photography. This house is so wonderful, we didn't even feel we needed to leave it to be on vacation. From coffee off the bedroom patio, to conversation in front of the fireplace, to being surrounded by your favorite music or the peaceful quietness of the area, to gourmet meals and tasty grill cuisine from the BBQ, to tequila sunsets from the patio jacuzzi area ..... the pleasures and comfort of this home were endless and truly a luxury. I want to thank the owner for offering his home to share with others and complement him for being a pleasure to work with. He was excellent in communication to us as travelers and very well organized in the care and presentation his home and available by phone and e-mail if needed. This was our 1st experience with VRBO and it was as straight forward and easy as one would hope. We'll be back ... Thank you for everything

Six women visiting in the Taos area recently spent a week at Casa Blanca. It is an amazing home with outstanding views in a quiet neighborhood close to town. The home itself is immaculate, well appointed with outstanding decor and all the amenities. There is nothing you could possibly need that isn't at your fingertips.... Every day was a new adventure, whether visiting the Taos Pueblo, whitewater rafting, soaking in the Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs, lunching and museum hopping in Santa Fe or just shopping in the Plaza or hanging at home around the hot tub. There are so many wonderful adventures that can be expeienced in a day. I would recommend Casa Blanca to anyone visiting the area. And for six women to feel the same way, you know it has to be something special.

My lovely wife and I are preparing to depart Casa Blanca this morning and I wanted to take a moment to write a short review about this home, property and surroundings as this has been our first trip to New Mexico. I begin with my experience with the owner, this person was fabulous and provided us with excellent communication and guidance in preparing for our journey. Outside, the home is gorgeous and very in touch with nature. We saw many varieties of birds, rabbits and even cute little prairie dogs in the distance of this vast property. The outdoor courtyards were very nice with multiple seating areas in beautifully landscaped settings. We enjoyed both sunrise views over the mountains and beautiful sunsets from the courtyards on both sides of the home. Speaking of views from this home, it is simply gorgeous in every direction. Inside, this home far exceeded our expectations in every way possible. From the "professional chef caliber" kitchen nd aappliances to the wonderful sleeping accomodations, there are no details that have been overlooked. I particularly enjoyed the radiant heat in the floors which made an early morning breakfast most pleasant while walking barefoot on the warm tile floors even though it was frosty cold outside. We utilized two of the bedrooms as I often awoke early to head to a local lake to enjoy trout fishing as my wife chose to sleep in. Both of the beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding and pillows were plentiful and just perfect. As far as the decor of this home, the owners are amazing in their ability to bring the Southwestern feel to life (or they hired a professional decorator) as everywhere you look you can see tasteful artwork, exquisite antiques and attention to every detail. We utilized the entertainment center with a large flat screen television as well as the wifi and had no problems at all. I highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for an exquisitely appointed, extremely comfortable home near Taos or the mountains in nothern New Mexico. We simply could not have been more pleased with our experience here.

Casa Blanca was exactly what we wanted for our Spring Break. Tasteful Southwest decor and oustanding views. Home is very well-maintained, spotless and offered every amenity we could have asked for. Home accomodated two families with different Spring Break wishes. An easy drive to Taos Ski Resort for one family and conveniently located for sightseeing Taos and other beautiful New Mexico sites for the other family. Owner delightful to deal with and provided suggestions for nearby restaurants and we enjoyed them all. We would highly recommend!

The house is excellent in every way. Impeccably decorated, clean and up to date. My family thoroughly enjoyed every minute there! Lots to do in the area, and convenient to both Taos proper as well as the ski mountain. Fantastic kitchen that is well equiped. Beautful dining table, and living room. We grilled steaks on the outside grill, and enjoyed the summer evening views of the sunsets and stars at night. Hot tub jacuzzi was very relaxing as well and the kids really enjoyed it. A place that people of any age would enjoy, and our children found the home to be very comfortable.

What a great location for our ski vacation! We had two adults and two teenage boys and the property accommodated all of our needs. The boys could ski as early as they wanted and we could sightsee in Taos and meet up with them later. The layout of the house allowed everyone to have privacy. The views were beautiful! The kitchen was stocked with everything we might need to keep the boys fed! Thanks for sharing your property and for your dining suggestions. We enjoyed our trip and the house very much. I hope to stay there again.

Having stayed in this property multiple times in winter and summer, we can vouch for the splendid property and location just outside the town of Taos. Just off the ski road, the home affords guests wonderful views of Taos mountain. The owner has kept this property up to date and is very helpful and responsive. The home accommodates a large family, two families traveling together, or a group of guys or girls on a getaway equally well. We loved the kitchen, which is well stocked with pots, pans and everything you'll need for fun dinners during your stay. As longtime visitors to Taos, we think Casa Blanca is the best value, by far, of anyplace we've ever stayed.
