My husband and I stayed at the Cottage for three days in June...and what a charming place it is. The most beautiful view that anyone could ask for, and so peaceful. Keep in mind all the beds are twins, and for taller men you need to watch your head a little, but I truly adored the place. Ginny was the best hostess...made sure we had everything we needed...and great ideas for things to do. (Some unbelieveable gardens just a walk down the waterline). I really fell in love with that breezy screened porch and hated to leave, but all good things.... Bristol is great town with wonderful restaurants and shops. Really enjoyed the Hourglass Brasserie, and the DeWolf Tavern...restaurants that would be amazing in a big city, much less a small town. It's a pleasant one mile walk into town for anything.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Beautiful spot and delightful accommodation with such history and interest to it. Plenty of space and facilities, and very near to so much on Rhode Island. Ginny was ever helpful and the location really is something else, even in the rain and gales we had, it was just beautiful to stay somewhere like this!Did you find this review helpful? I spent a few days with my grandsons and we were so delighted with the cottage (pictures were great!)and its beautiful views and Ginny's wonderful hospitality! All her recommendations were perfect...whether it was a beach or a place for breakfast. She made us feel right at home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in lovely Bristol. I look forward to returning sometime and have shared my experiences with friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+.

Ginny was a wonderful hostess and she has a journal in the cottage that tells the story of her house and the building of the cottage - delightful. The cottage is adorable and true to it's photos. It is convenient to Newport and Providence and the little town of Bristol is so pleasant and welcoming. We were looking to get a feel for the area our son was to be staying in while at college. We loved the bagel shop in town and Quito's on the bay. Bristol Pizza is also very good. I hope you, too, can enjoy it as much as we did.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This was the most romantic weekend getaway for my wife and I and the Innkeeper is the most pleasant person to help with a weekend. If you ask her nicely, she just might show you her beautiful gardens! The view of the water was so relaxing and felt like we could reach out and touch the water. We'll be coming back soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
