Casa Loma (House On The Hill) - Villa Casa Loma, Granada, Spain is situated in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains overlooking the Costa Tropical de Granada and the Mediterranean Sea. The villa has two bedrooms, two baths, a living room, dining room and a fully equipped modern kitchen complete with dishwasher and laundry. Sliding patio doors lead off the lounge to a conservatory. This is delightful during the winter months and can be opened completely in the summer for ventilation, so you can enjoy the gorgeous Andalucian sunshine all year round. Outside there are terraces to the front and each side of the house and a further terrace on a lower level.
The private urbanization of Monte de los Almendros (Mountain of Almonds) contains a number of private villas, a community pool and tennis courts. The view from the villa is spectacular! One can sit on the terrace sipping sangria and gaze out towards the sea, an ancient Phoenician village, the beaches, mountains and a Moorish castle.
There are dozens of things to do at Casa Loma. You can swim at the five-mile beach below the villa or at one of the many others nearby, visit quaint old towns, markets or shop in modern European department stores. Golfing is nearby and the restaurants are excellent and numerous. The seafood is fresh, the wines superb and the prices reasonable.

The Costa Tropical de Granada (Tropical Coast) is a temperate tropical area with 326 days of sun annually (typically, more than the Costa del Sol). The summers are dry and there is always a breeze at the villa. In the winter, one can spend the morning skiing in the Sierras and come home to sunbathe on the terrace after lunch.
We would be pleased to have you experience Casa Loma. Spain's combination of sun, sea, sangria and siestas provide the perfect combination of activities and relaxation. If you are like us, the hardest part will be leaving to come home.

We shall miss the mountains and the splendid panoramic view form the balcony. What a perfect setting. We enjoyed the house so pleasantly laid out and equipped with everything we might need. There were four of us and we could be together or find a private nook as we pleased. Thank you for the Read Me First Book - it was fun as well as instructive and prevented anxious moments

We had a long thought before writing this and had reached the conclusion that there are too many things to say so we will just say that words cannot describe the "state of spirit" of Casa Loma - that perfectly integrates it with the wonderful country of Andalusia. Don't believe us!! Just see it for yourselves.

This is our fifth visit! It really feels like coming home. So many changes, but Casa Loma still stands in splendid isolation. We drove to the lake south west of Granada. A lovely drive and a beautiful spot. Road much better than indicated and an ideal picnic spot. The house is so comfortable. All our needs are cared for. Thanks again. Margaret & Charles, Anglia UK

What a glorious stay!. We have been to many places all over Europe and in the States as well as the Middle East, the experience of Casa Loma, the weather, the comfort and glorious views make it our #1 favorite in 32 years of travelling to vacations destinations. Thanks for sharing your beautiful piece of heaven with us. It will live forever in our hearts and God willing, we plan to be back again next year.

It could very well become our home away from home. Well appointed, views out of this world, the weather is absolutely divine. Forget going to spas and spending a fortune, Casa Loma in Salobreña and the Costa Tropical are the best kept secret for Rest and Relaxation and good times. We will be going back and that's a promise! The view is out of this world. We loved the architecture and the layout of the property. It was a very comfortable home, everything was really functional. The owner had great reading material, a couple of big folders full of advice and suggestions to make their guests feel totally at home from day one, as well as a great number of articles that cover the area and all of Spain. The place was well taken care of and well stocked with what we needed when we arrived. We put over 3500 km on our car. We went all over the immediate surroundings as well as further away. We visited Motril, Almunecar, Nerja, La Herradura, Granada, Toledo, Cordoba, Seville, Malaga, Marbella, Gibraltar and of course Madrid. We had fun on the beaches of Salobreña, Motril, Almunecar and our favorite was the balcony over Europe Beach right in Nerja. El Pinon restaurant right on Salobreña beach, on the side of a cliff, was awesome and the waiters/help were superb. We highly recommend it. When renting a car if you plan to go tour get the smallest car you can rent; we had a Mercedes SUV A model and it was perfect to carry all our luggage and get us in those hard to get to places. A stick shift and diesel are helpful to maneuver the narrow and steep areas in and around Salobreña. Driving up to the old castle in the middle of town was a trip on its own. would highly recommend one park down and make the steep hill on foot. We found out that a lot of the old city parts in any of the larger towns had extremely narrow streets that are quite hard to maneuver if you are not comfortable driving a stick shift.
