Many thanks for having us in your well equipped home-away-from-home. This is our third trip to Salobrena and Villa Loma has the most outstanding views yet

We shall miss the mountains and the splendid panoramic view form the balcony. What a perfect setting. We enjoyed the house so pleasantly laid out and equipped with everything we might need. There were four of us and we could be together or find a private nook as we pleased. Thank you for the Read Me First Book - it was fun as well as instructive and prevented anxious moments

The setting of your villa is just beautiful. We loved watching the world move below us at sunset and sunrise.

We had a long thought before writing this and had reached the conclusion that there are too many things to say so we will just say that words cannot describe the "state of spirit" of Casa Loma - that perfectly integrates it with the wonderful country of Andalusia. Don't believe us!! Just see it for yourselves.

This is our fifth visit! It really feels like coming home. So many changes, but Casa Loma still stands in splendid isolation. We drove to the lake south west of Granada. A lovely drive and a beautiful spot. Road much better than indicated and an ideal picnic spot. The house is so comfortable. All our needs are cared for. Thanks again. Margaret & Charles, Anglia UK

What a glorious stay!. We have been to many places all over Europe and in the States as well as the Middle East, the experience of Casa Loma, the weather, the comfort and glorious views make it our #1 favorite in 32 years of travelling to vacations destinations. Thanks for sharing your beautiful piece of heaven with us. It will live forever in our hearts and God willing, we plan to be back again next year.

It could very well become our home away from home. Well appointed, views out of this world, the weather is absolutely divine. Forget going to spas and spending a fortune, Casa Loma in Salobreña and the Costa Tropical are the best kept secret for Rest and Relaxation and good times. We will be going back and that's a promise! The view is out of this world. We loved the architecture and the layout of the property. It was a very comfortable home, everything was really functional. The owner had great reading material, a couple of big folders full of advice and suggestions to make their guests feel totally at home from day one, as well as a great number of articles that cover the area and all of Spain. The place was well taken care of and well stocked with what we needed when we arrived. We put over 3500 km on our car. We went all over the immediate surroundings as well as further away. We visited Motril, Almunecar, Nerja, La Herradura, Granada, Toledo, Cordoba, Seville, Malaga, Marbella, Gibraltar and of course Madrid. We had fun on the beaches of Salobreña, Motril, Almunecar and our favorite was the balcony over Europe Beach right in Nerja. El Pinon restaurant right on Salobreña beach, on the side of a cliff, was awesome and the waiters/help were superb. We highly recommend it. When renting a car if you plan to go tour get the smallest car you can rent; we had a Mercedes SUV A model and it was perfect to carry all our luggage and get us in those hard to get to places. A stick shift and diesel are helpful to maneuver the narrow and steep areas in and around Salobreña. Driving up to the old castle in the middle of town was a trip on its own. would highly recommend one park down and make the steep hill on foot. We found out that a lot of the old city parts in any of the larger towns had extremely narrow streets that are quite hard to maneuver if you are not comfortable driving a stick shift.

We booked an apartment elsewhere, but it was too small. We had the opportunity to move here and fell in love with your villa immediately. It is easy to see that this is a home, not just a holiday retreat.

We had to pinch ourselves every day to see if we really were sitting on your magnificent terrace looking over the Mediterranean Sea. The weather and this area around Salobrena is perfect. We loved your villa and hope we can visit again. We couldn’t wait to get back to the villa at night and eat dinner on the terrace. The lights of Salobrena and the castle were magical. This is the way life should be.

We have had a fabulous time here! Your spot is picture perfect. It was glorious to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. We didn’t try to do it all, but we did enjoy Nerja, the caves, Frigiliana, Alhambra, the towns of Salobrena and Motril. The kids enjoyed the beach and we enjoyed the tapas. Thanks for sharing your home. We watched every episode of your CD set Fawlty Towers and laughed ourselves silly.

Dear Dr. & Mrs. Towler. As I write this on the final day of our visit, I can say that I have only one regret. We have to leave tomorrow Morning. Casa Loma has been a wonderful place to call home during an incredible vacation. The food and wine has been superb, the scenery breathtaking and the visits to the Alhambra, the cathedrals in Malaga and Granada, the caves at Nerja and of course Salobreña have made this a time I will always remember. If I had to choose just one thing I enjoyed the most, it would definitely be the people of Spain. Warm, friendly and quite forgiving of someone who speaks almost no Spanish. They have truly been a delight. I am able to see why you enjoy this country so much and I am so grateful to both of you for allowing me this opportunity. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and with every fiber of my being. I will definitely return to vacation here again.

What a wonderful place! Having booked on the internet, we were slightly nervous about what we would find, but the villa exceeded all our expectations. Fabulous views, beautifully furnished and exceptionally well equipped. We also watched every episode of Fawlty Towers on your CDs. Our favourite restaurant by far was El Penion, the restaurant on the jutting out rock. Wonderful seafood, friendly service and the best views and reasonable prices. The highlight for the children was the water park in Almunecar, for the adults it was probably a drive through the Alpujara. Thank you John & Lorna for the use of your lovely second home. We very much hope to return and would recommend Casa Loma to anybody.

I know this isn't the first honeymoon at Casa Loma, but we're firmly convinced that this was the best. Everything cooperated with us - the view, the weather, the BBQ, the natives - everything. We enjoyed side trips to Ronda (finally saw a bullfight) and Granada, but mostly just enjoyed each other and the peace and quiet. What more can I say? Casa Loma is absolutely beautiful I have never spent a more relaxing time. I understand why visitors come back again and again. A hint for those who are here for the first time - relax and do not try to see it all. The Spanish pace is refreshing, including a siesta in the afternoon.

Oh Towlers! Adopt us please ...! We'll stay here and be good .. we won't make a mess .. we'll light the BBQ for anyone and serve refreshing drinks!!! This is just what my doctor would have ordered if only she had known. I'm almost too relaxed to write this note now. A fabulous base for the week as everyone seems to think, especially after a week of touring. Swallows, swifts and 9 eagles in one day! Fabulous. Friendly little cat. Mostly beautiful weather and one day of rain. We've found Casa Loma the perfect place to put on approx. one stone of weight. (shall need support knickers when I get home). We shall all return home sad to have left but with wonderful memories. Stewart has left a detailed list of his favourite wines - we run a pub and he really knows wines!
