'Sunset Beach House' is a fully renovated, historic Island home located at the end of a dead end drive. Built in the early 1900's, the house has been completely refurbished, but still retains it's character and a classic Maine farm house feel, such as wide pine flooring, original window and door moldings and the dining room display cabinets from over a hundred years ago. New windows throughout to soak in the west facing shore line and views of the incredible sunsets and smaller islands stretching out to the sea.
The house rests on a private, grassy knoll and is only about 80 feet from the beach front. Also offered are a dock and pier for those sailing in or bringing motor boats or kayaks. It's a great spot for mackeral fishing too.
For the imaginations of the very young, there is a cute, mini lobster play boat replica on the beach as well as a picnic table.
Classic covered, wrap around porch with whimsical Adirondack chairs to sit and watch as the dusk spreads out over the ocean.
All the ingredients for a glorious summer vacation and a very fine oceanfront property.

We stayed at the house June 25-July 1, 2011. It was exactly what we were looking for. My husband, mother-in-law and our daughters (ages 11 & 8) could not have been more pleased. The owners were at their house up the road with their grandchildren and the kids all had a great time. The owner, Lou took us out on his boat to see the seals and the lighthouse. He then took my husband and daughter out again to pull lobster traps. The house is beautiful with lots of antiques that nicely balance out the gorgeous updates thoughout. We will definitely be back to stay again. Thank you for a great week.
