There are many activities within the area to enjoy. Historic Hendersonville and Flat Rock are approximately 25 minutes away where you can visit Carl Sandberg's Home and Flat Rock Playhouse. Connestee Falls is just a few miles away. Historic Downtown Brevard is only a 12 mile drive, and offers antique shopping, the Brevard Music Center and many fun places to visit. Also nearby is the Pisgah National Forest; DuPont State Forest - with their many hiking and biking trails, and waterfalls is just about a five minute drive from Mountain Laurel.
