This was one of the best places to stay because it had something for everyone! My husband and I were celebrating 20 years of marriage and 4 kids and wanted a true "retreat" from the norm. This was perfect! The home has so much to offer; jetted tub in upstairs bathroom, hot tub on deck, wonderful furnishings, the views were spectacular. I have to mention how comfortable the bed was. IT WAS AWESOME. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals. We tried to take advantage of everything the retreat had to offer, even using the firepit outside. The highlight of the trip for my husband was walking to the lake several times a day to fish. The first night that we arrived, he went to "check things out" and caught a nice one on his first cast!! The place is very secluded, quiet with the exception of many nature sounds. We saw deer, birds, squirrels; so many things. As my husband was fishing one morning, a fawn was born close by. Nature may be out of the owner's control, but they provide the perfect location for the chance to experience it. We rented a fishing pontoon and went on the lake one afternoon and went to Silver Dollar City on another, but with the exception of those days, we spent the rest just hanging out at the retreat. Rest and relaxation!! We are so happy with the home we are thinking about coming back with the kids to make memories on the lake with them. Thanks for a wonderful stay and for taking pride in your rental home so there would be no surprises or worries for us.

We enjoyed everything the house and location had to offer! Our 8 yr old son brought a friend and there were rave reviews for the lake access, firepit, hot tub and Monopoly. It was great to spend time at the lake watching the boys search for bugs and build "canals" on the edge of the water. We spent a lot of time on the deck and enjoyed dinner outside. There is lots of wildlife and we saw a turkey, deer and lots of squirrels. We will definitely be back and really like the idea of renting both the Retreat and the Cottage with our friends. Thanks Derek and Jennifer for a providing this family a much needed getaway in a fantastic location.

GREAT PLACE! We are SO glad we didn't do a condo or resort! The pictures don't do this retreat justice - you are surrounded by peaceful woods, have a beautiful view of the lake and still have all of the comforts of home (AC, hot tub, grill, clean bathrooms, working kitchen/coffee pot/fridge/etc)! It was really nice to feel secluded but have access to all of the activities of Branson. We went zip lining, did the duck tour (kids got to drive when we went into the water), had great geo-caching adventures (there are MANY hidden treasures) and hiked around the lake. We were too tired to hit any shows but there were a few that seemed really funny. Around the home, my boys loved soaking in the hot tub, sitting around the campfire (s'mores!), walking down to the lake to skip rocks, going fishing and exploring.

We had a wonderful time. We really enjoyed our privacy and we were extremely thankful for the location when the tornado went through Branson! We weren't able to go to the Titanic because of the tornado, but it gives us an excuse to come back. Our weather was exceptional. The kids loved the hot tub. The only animal we saw was the bald eagle a couple of days. We brought hot chocolate to drink in the evening, but we are bringing it all home along with a sunburn!

The house is so homey and comfortable. It is decorated nicely and just makes you feel like you are home when you walk in. The private hot tub is a great bonus when you stay at this house too!! We enjoyed our stay and will be on our list to make a return visit to!

We saw deer in the front yard of this secluded retreat. If you are afraid of being alone, this might not be the place for you, but we loved the seclusion. A very comfortable stay. Fully recommend this place for all!!!

Thank you! This was a perfect get-a-way for our family of 4. We are currently moving from Kansas to Springfield and this break was exactly what we needed! Next time, we hope to swim at the beaches. Goodness! The water is high! No fish caught, but great memories! Love the decor!

Thanks so much for letting us stay here! It was cool seeing the eagles. The hot tub was wonderful and fun. We went to Kirby's Magic show and go-carts and Bass Pro. We loved our stay in your beautiful home. We didn't get to stay too long in the Cottage last time, but you two were so wonderful and the location is gorgeous! So, we decided to come back and will visit again in the future. In Branson, we went to Ripley's, the Butterfly Palace and the Kirby VanBurch show (recommended). We also say the Talking Rock's Caverns. Took a walk down by the lake, as well. Had a wonderful time, it was perfect!!

We loved our stay here! The boys were really wondering how you change the light bulbs here (so high up). Crazy boys! The hot tub was amazing, everything was perfect. Wouldn't change a thing! We went to Ripley's, Wax Museum and all were fun! Ate many different places, did lots of shopping and had an amazing time. We would love to come back! Thank you so much!

My hunny found the perfect place to spend our second anniversary together! It was so comfortable and inviting as we'll be sure to come back with our friends. Our stay at the Retreat was phenomenal. Beautiful home with an amazing view. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pit and walking down to the lake on the trail. The house had everything that we needed and more. We were so comfortable. Can’t wait to come back and stay in the Cottage.

Arrived and felt right at home. Enjoyed the wild turkeys. Saw the white one too! Also saw a whole family of deer...beautiful! love the privacy, yet so close to things to do. Purchased a hand made rug from a lady at the corner. She has beautiful pot holders ad candles too. Went horseback riding, fishing and explored a cave. Thanks you Derek and Jennifer for sharing!

Absolutely loved the Retreat and surrounding area. Extremely relaxing stay and very comfortable place to stay and recover our sanity from long hours working. My children rented this to "remember" me on my 77th birthday. What a treat! 4 of my 6 children were here with me, what a blessing! Being here in such a beautiful setting with most of my children. Know what? GOD is GOOD!

Thank you so much for our wonderful cabin....very well done. The atmosphere was perfect and the view is lovely. The kids enjoyed the walk to the water and a fire with smores. All of us went to a show which was a big hit with my Russian-born adopted daughter (we saw Yakov). All in all a great experience. We will be back!

We had a great stay at Tall Tree Retreat. Enjoyed the spaciousness, all the amenities and the seclusion. We rented a boat from Gage's - very friendly and helpful. Got lucky and had a very quiet day on the lake with hardly any other traffic. Went to Titanic museum, a bit overpriced. Did Ride the Ducks and saw Pierce Arrow (great show!). Loved sitting in hot tub, relaxing and spending time together. Really appreciated great communication prior to our arrival. Made us feel secure and re-assured in our plans! We'd love to come again, maybe with family. It's be great to coordinate a stay at the Cottage as well! Thanks again! Marshalltown, IA

Wow! What a fantastic get away! Absolutely loved the cabin and the proximity to the lake and everything. We rented a boat for 2 days from Gages Long Creek Marina, we tubed for 2 days and the girls had a blast! Directly across from Gage's is a cliff with ropes for swinging into the lake - spent hours there. We also rented SCUBA gear from Scubasports and State Park. Diving was great even right off the Tall Tree lake shore. Saw lots of fish, turtles etc. The girls loved staying here and having dinner and breakfast on the deck sitting in the hot tub and counting the stars. We also had a fantastic firefly hunt, except we caught more ticks than we did fireflies!! Saw 2 deer, fox, hummingbirds, turtles, fish and 3 happy daughters. One morning, there was a deer drinking by the lakeside - of course I didn't have my camera with me! We loved the place so much, very clean, very nicely decorated - country yet not gaudy like so many other Branson cabins. Today we are checking out and heading to Reed Springs for the zip line. We miss our home away from home already! Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation!

Thank you so much for the use of your beautiful cabin. It was the perfect retreat that we all desperately needed. What an amazing place of peace and serenity. The cottage is absolutely beautifully built and beautifully furnished. My weekend was simply enchanting. I loved watching the deers at dusk. A few of them came around while sitting around the campfire. You thought of everything ... even the wildlife! :)

Truely Awesome ! From the very first moment that we walked in... We feel right at home! The inside, outside and the view are just beautiful! Sitting out on the deck at night - sharing stories, reliving memories and making new ones - were just what we sisters needed ! We were excited to see a red fox, deer and squirrels. We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Tall Tree Retreat. The cabin was furnished beautifully and we had everything we needed -- even cling wrap to cover our leftovers! ** We'd initially wanted to book the Tall Tree Cottage because it's advertised as "lakefront," but it was booked, so we chose the Retreat instead. We're SO glad we stayed at the Retreat! The views are incredible. Plus, we were delighted to discover it took us only 2-3 minutes to walk from our cabin's front door to the edge of Table Rock Lake! Our girls (ages 9 and 6) had a fabulous time, and so did we. Took them to Silver Dollar City one day, yet still had time to cook out that evening and then take a relaxing soak in the hot tub. I highly recommend the Retreat.

We really enjoyed staying in your lovely home. The views are beautiful. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the time together as a family. The kids had a blast. The boys spent a dayout on the lake fishing and the girls spent the day shopping at Branson Landing. The kids spent a lot of time walking down to the lake and feeding a duck that came up to the shore. The house was just perfect and equipped with everything we needed. Thank you !

Thank you for building such a wonderful "retreat" on the lake. This was our 1st trip to Branson - we live in the VA Beach area . Deer report: Thursday morning 8 to 10 am in front yard; Saturday morning - 2 does and one buck on the grass. Show report: Andy Williams, Tony Orlando, Bobby Vinton. All were just excellent and very enjoyable. We spent one day at Silver Dollar City and that was great too -- a lot different from our Busch Gardens in VA. Again, thanks for a great place to stay - we'll be back!

We came with my brother and sister-in-law not knowing what to expect. What a delightful surprise! Loved the decor, the seclusion, the wildlife (yes, we did see the eagle) along with lots of deer around the cabin and roadway. I would and will recommend this cabin to friends and family. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was peaceful and relaxing. The time flew by, so we did not do as much as we wanted. The cabin was as advertised. We would definitely visit again and recommend to others. We did a few shows in Branson (Legends, Piece Arrow, Kirby) all were fun. Also visited Eureka Springs "The Passion Play". Did a little fishing. Just had a good time. My wife loved the cabin decorations and design. Also, all was fully stocked. Nice to see a town where GOD is still recognized.
