Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay at your cabin for Easter weekend. When we first walked through the doors, we noticed the freshness and pleasant scent of the pine logs that cabins have and the welcome basket on the counter with wine and trail mix. The cabin was in perfect shape and very clean – the pictures do not capture the full beauty of this cabin and the views. There were so many detailed touches added to the décor of the cabin, including the beautiful quilted bedspreads. My two children were so excited about the cabin amenities, especially the outdoor fireplace. We enjoyed it so much, that we only left the cabin once over the weekend to visit downtown Blue Ridge for couple hours and hurried back to enjoy a BBQ and dinner on the deck. The views were amazing and the coziness of the cabin really made us unwind and relax as a family. Thank you for sharing such a lovely place with us; we cannot wait to return again! We absolutely recommend this property to anyone seeking peace, quietness, and need of rejuvenation!

Highway Noise

The first thing we noticed was the highway noise we could hear as soon as we got out of the car. The closeness of the surrounding cabins was also a surprise. Luckily we were the only one occupied. I'm sure we could've heard people on their decks if they were. Fireplace issues, the one on the deck would only stay on for about 10 mins and then go off for 10. Never got warm enough to set outside after dark. Not at all like a campfire or even a small firepit. Pretty much like a gas grill. On a whole it was a nice relaxing trip since no one else was there. Also rented DVDs. No audio. Ceiling had black cobwebs hanging from ceiling over couch. Sofas all need replaced. Look good but very uncomfortable.

Owner response:In responding, we strongly disagree with the review and are flabbergasted given these guests left their dog feces/excrement on the floor of the basement and the living room floor. The cabin is cleaned thoroughly after each rental and as our many returning guests can attest, is very clean, cozy and quite. Hwy 515 is approximately 1 mile away and we have never had any guest complaints of road noise; our cabin is nestled with 4 other cabins and is very private. The sofas are new within the last 4 years; the fireplaces work perfectly; they are on a thermostat, so they will go off when the temperature a guest sets is reached. At the guest’s request, I personally made a trip to the cabin the next morning after they had arrived and had the fireplaces lit within 5 minutes. I had hoped to demonstrate how to use the fireplaces and had called them 5 minutes to my arrival, but by the time I arrived, they had left rather quickly; so I believe they left to avoid seeing me as the cabin was booked for 2 guests; but in actuality we believe there were 3, perhaps 4 guests. Finally, the cabin was left in such a mess, that our cleaning crew took much longer than expected.

We found the cabin to be exactly as described on the VRBO listing. It was cozy, comfortable and we will most likely stay at the Ashryn Lodge again soon.

Our stay here was FABULOUS! The cabin was clean, the floorplan was very convenient for the family. We stayed for 4 days and it was the best family vacation we have ever had. We all enjoyed the hot tub and grilling on the back porch for dinner. The wine and trail mix were welcome. I grabbed the trailmix on our way to Rock Creek to fish. They were too busy catching dinner to go have lunch! We are definately going to come back here and stay again.

We spent our 35th anniversary here. What a great place - so beautiful and comfortable. We felt right at home immediately. Aside from some antiqueing in Blue Ridge and Blairsville, we spent most of our time on the beautiful deck watching the birds. We'll definitely be back!

What a beautiful cabin! The views from the balcony decks - quiet, peaceful, what a wonderful place. The week that we came the wild blackberry bushes were loaded. My friend and I picked blackberries. I made and canned blackberry preserves. Ive never done that on vacation but what a great memory. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. Our little dogs enjoyed this wonderful place. I discovered your cabin on the VRBO website, It has truly been a rare find and is the most beautiful cabin we have stayed in. we dont want to go home!!

In July my teacher friend and I, plus our two small dogs spent several days at Ashryn Lodge. It was so restful and beautiful. The lodge is clean and in perfect condition. The area around Blue Ridge was great for outdoor activities. We enjoyed hiking and picnicking in Fort Mountain State Park and hiking and berry picking on the road to Ashryn Lodge. Our dogs enjoyed the decks and their safe view of a bobcat. The gift basket was so nice, especially the wine. lol I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for outdoor fun and a relaxing vacation.

Thank you so much for a wonderful place for my family to vacation. The welcome basket was a very nice touch. Your cozy cabin with great wood detail helped our family because my childreb got along very wekk, we got to play the great board games you provided. Playing board games with our children was a great bonding experience. We also got to bond with our newly adopted Golder, Georgia... this was her first family vacation. She really enjoyed the nature. We had a good time on the train, hiked some trails and finally got to see a movie at the Swan Drive-In. Good Times!!

What more could we ask, Peace quiet , mountain vistas and relaxing hot tub. All doggies enjoyed. Noses through deck slats, chillin' Cool breezes, new sounds. Turkey dinner - YUM so what if its early March?!! No rules against that! Comfy bed, rests heads, cosy on couch, sipping wine - time to watch movies. All comforts of home. Thanks for the nice basket too. Oh, we will be back!!!

We were so pleased with our visit to Ashryn Lodge !!! From the moment we arrived it was pure bliss. The cabin is beautiful and so cozy. The open floor plan allows for true family time. Christmas 2009. You have a very beautiful cabin with gorgeous views! The kids enjoyed the hot chocolate on our walks in the cold. My husband and my favorites were the fireplaces and the hot tub. Thanksgiving 2009. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner in your cute cabin!. we enjoyed the outdoor fireplace as well as the one inside. Enjoyed the wonderful week we were here _ The view was the best weve had in all our visits to N GA for fall break. Loved the hot tub and the peaceful area. We trailered our motorcycles and rode for 3 days to area falls, state parks, small towns and experienced the curvy windy roads. Loved your cabin!! Thank you for providing such a beautiful cabin with everything we needed provided. The furnishings are so nice and we love the decor! we love the cute town of Blue Ridge and the Ocoee water center was incredible. Fireworks over Lake Blue Ridge was fun. This was an awesome "long" weekend getaway.

What a great place to ring in the new year(some of us were even awake!) Flew from vacation in South Beach and then came here - this was by far our favorite leg of the trip.
