Great pet-friendly family getaway located in the quiet neighborhood of Agate Bay in Carnelian Bay on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Walk to Patton Beach. The North Shore Casinos are about a 10 minute drive. Brockway Golf Course is less than 5 minutes away.

For the Winter months, the Ski resorts of Squaw Valley, Alpine, Northstar, Homewood, and Diamond Peak and are only about 10-25 minutes away. Relax in front of the stone open hearth fireplace or the Hot Springs 6 person HOT TUB under the stars.

This Non-Smoking, four bedroom plus house sits on a large sunny fully-fenced 1/3 acre lot. There is plenty of room for your family group to spread out in this large single level house with a Living Room AND a Family Room. The Living Room can be closed off to effectively create a 5th private sleeping area.

The big Mission Style dining room set seats 10, and Chefs will enjoy the new stainless steel appliances and solid granite countertops in the well stocked remodeled kitchen. We have a Gas Grill on the back patio for BBQ's, and the new back patio has 2 dining tables. Another picnic table sits further up on the spacious lawn, next to the badminton area.

The master bath has been remodeled with beautiful porcelain tile with pine cone slate accent tiles. The tile floor is partially hydronically heated. The Master Bedroom has a CA King log bed and a twin. Bedrooms #3 &4 have comfortable Queen beds, and the 4th bedroom sleeps three with a twin and a set of bunk beds.

You can rent kayaks or canoes down at the beach or just enjoy the sunny shores of Carnelian Bay. Enjoy our newly landscaped fenced yard with lilacs, and a beautiful lawn and flower gardens. The huge fenced in back yard allows for lots of family fun.

Enjoy playing volleyball or badminton on the back lawn, or basketball on the front driveway. There are also several bikes to use to get down to the beach or ride the mountain biking trails. Relax after your daily activities in the huge 6 person HOT TUB under the stars on the sunken patio.

Relax after a full day of Tahoe activities curled up in front of a cozy fire in the natural stone fireplace in the Family Room.

Walk 2.5 Blocks to Patton Beach, Gar Woods Restaurant, and in August enjoy the Concours d'Elegance Wooden Boat Show at the marina.

Your whole group can relax and enjoy this great year round vacation mountain home!

  • My husband and I stayed at the Miller’s Carnelian Bay home for four nights and we felt at home the moment we walked inside. Their home is comfortable, very clean, well-stocked and the big and beautiful backyard was enjoyed not only by us, but our two dogs. The area is quiet, the stars are bright and the lake is a short walk away. Joyce Miller is a pleasure to work with and makes the rental process simple. We truly enjoyed this getaway and look forward to staying here again.

  • What a wonderful house - the backyard is especially great. We enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness of the house with every amenity necessary. We played badmitton in the spacious backyard and bbq'd while playing board games on the patio. We walked to the lake and out to dinner as well! Couldn't ask for more!

  • We realy had fun at the house, from the fire in the fireplace on chilly mornings to the soothing hot tub at night, it was a very comfortable place to be. Lots of space for dogs and grandkids to play or just relax (that's the dogs). Eating areas were perfect and all the bedrooms were spacious. All our needs were met thanks to Joyce. We'll be back!

  • Our group stayed at this house over the July 4th weekend and had an amazing time. We especially loved the large backyard where our dog could run free, the hot tub and playing some board games from our childhood (Clue, Jenga, etc.) -- so much fun! We also had a great time grilling/eating outside and roasting marshmallows. Thanks for a great weekend, Joyce!

  • This was our fifth year renting the Miller's house in Carnelian Bay for our annual ski trip, and the visit was wonderful as usual. The house has everything we need, including a well-stocked kitchen, toys, games, and books, plenty of towels, etc. The hot tub is always nice to have (and well-maintained - the spa man usually stops by while we're there to check it), and the big fenced-in yard is perfect for our small kids and dogs. It's centrally located and easy distance to Alpine, Squaw, and Northstar. Joyce is always great to work with!

  • We loved this house! Warm, cozy and has two living rooms! The master bathroom is terrific. The 2nd bathroom is a bit of a challenge. The kitchen, although small, is perfectly set up with first class plates and utensils. Loved the oak dining room table and chairs. The jacuzzi in the garden was perfect after a day of skiing and snowboarding. We walked in the area which is charming in every way. Very peaceful neighborhood, and the people were met were delightful. We would stay here eagerly again! Thank you Joyce and Bob for making it available to us. How about setting up discounts for returning guests?
