This was the first time our family rented a vaction home and it was a wonderful experience. The home is well kept and homey. We spent Thanksgiving week here and really had a relaxing, enjoyable time. The location is ideal. Its a less then 20 minute drive to Northstar and Squaw valley, grocery stores were a short drive down the road and we were able to attend mass at the Catholic church in nearby Tahoe City. Had an amzaing stay. Owner was prompt and pleasant to deal with.

We had a boisterous crowd for dinners, plenty of teens, but the separation of den from kitchen-dining-living gave us a sense of peace. It was especially quiet when the boys stayed in the great big hot-tub!! There was plenty of room to spread out on the very comfy sofas and chairs, and the lighting was excellent. Very clean, Beds were comfy, plenty of closet space too. The kitchen had plenty of large cooking and serving equipment., and enough of everything. Loved that we could park in the garage. Hello Joyce - Thank you for the email and update on the deposit. We had a GREAT time at the house. It was the perfect spot for everyone, especially the dogs who were endlessly entertained by the chipmunks in the yard. Thankfully, there were no fatalities. I'm still adjusting to being back at work and will happily post on your guestbook. I was heartbroken to leave the lake and am hoping to make this trip a family tradition. We will definitely keep you in mind for our next tahoe trip whether it's snowboarding or wakeboarding. Thanks again. Clare

We appreciated this clean, well-appointed house. Good location (equidistant from Tahoe City and King's Beach). A nice backyard and a terrific jacuzzi tub. We recommend!

My husband, son, his friend, and I had a terrific weekend at the cabin. We took quite a few hot tubs, went skiing and explored the lake. The house was wonderful - spacious, convenient, and well appointed.

What a great house! Our group of 7 adults loved the spacious kitchen and common areas -- there was more than enough room for everyone. The house is close to many ski resorts and the after ski soak in the hot tub was fantastic. The bedrooms were great too. We will definitely be coming back!

I was a great retreat to find a much needed relaxation over the weekend. We, two couples, with two toddlers love the house, that offers something for everybody, the kids loved the bunk beds, and parents the Jacuzzi and Fire place. Very conveniently located, close to the Lake, Save Way and North Star. Definitely try to come back!

We had a great time as always during our stay at the Miller's Carnelian Bay house. The house has everything we need, is close to skiing, and is very kid and dog friendly. We always come back every year because the house is so convenient and comfortable.

We had a delightful stay at the Carnelian Bay home. Lovely space, and plenty of room for 2 families. Great property, and kids got to enjoy snow in backyard when we were not at Northstar. Northstar close by and easy access. Highly recommend outdoor jacuzzi on cold winter night.

Miller's at Carnelian Bay is the perfect location for us.It is right around the corner from our favorite restaurant Gar Woods and only 15 minutes from Northstar at Tahoe which is a great place to ski. The house feels like a home when you first walk through the door. Our dog "Hoss the Huskey" loved tromping through the snow in the back yard. Thank you Joyce.

My husband and I stayed at the Miller’s Carnelian Bay home for four nights and we felt at home the moment we walked inside. Their home is comfortable, very clean, well-stocked and the big and beautiful backyard was enjoyed not only by us, but our two dogs. The area is quiet, the stars are bright and the lake is a short walk away. Joyce Miller is a pleasure to work with and makes the rental process simple. We truly enjoyed this getaway and look forward to staying here again.

What a wonderful house - the backyard is especially great. We enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness of the house with every amenity necessary. We played badmitton in the spacious backyard and bbq'd while playing board games on the patio. We walked to the lake and out to dinner as well! Couldn't ask for more!

We realy had fun at the house, from the fire in the fireplace on chilly mornings to the soothing hot tub at night, it was a very comfortable place to be. Lots of space for dogs and grandkids to play or just relax (that's the dogs). Eating areas were perfect and all the bedrooms were spacious. All our needs were met thanks to Joyce. We'll be back!

Our group stayed at this house over the July 4th weekend and had an amazing time. We especially loved the large backyard where our dog could run free, the hot tub and playing some board games from our childhood (Clue, Jenga, etc.) -- so much fun! This was our fifth year renting the Miller's house in Carnelian Bay for our annual ski trip, and the visit was wonderful as usual. The house has everything we need, including a well-stocked kitchen, toys, games, and books, plenty of towels, etc. The hot tub is always nice to have (and well-maintained - the spa man usually stops by while we're there to check it), and the big fenced-in yard is perfect for our small kids and dogs. It's centrally located and easy distance to Alpine, Squaw, and Northstar. Joyce is always great to work with!

We loved this house! Warm, cozy and has two living rooms! The master bathroom is terrific. The 2nd bathroom is a bit of a challenge. The kitchen, although small, is perfectly set up with first class plates and utensils. Loved the oak dining room table and chairs. The jacuzzi in the garden was perfect after a day of skiing and snowboarding. We walked in the area which is charming in every way. Very peaceful neighborhood, and the people were met were delightful. We would stay here eagerly again! Thank you Joyce and Bob for making it available to us. How about setting up discounts for returning guests?

We had a wonderful week at your mountain home. The backyard was huge and was such a treat for our city dog. The house is very family-friendly with all the amenities you can think of. There were a total of nine people - six adults and three kids under the age of four - plus two dogs, and we had a wonderful time. The bunkbeds were the big hit among the children, and the badminton net made for some good giggles. The house was fully equipped including restaurant recommendations. The best time each day was enjoying our afternoon coffee on the patio... watching Molly (our Sheltie) romp in the beautiful backyard. The house was the perfect summer getaway. The living areas were perfect for sipping coffee in the morning or relaxing in the afternoon. The kitchen and dining areas were great for staying in to cook a nice dinner. The yard was even bigger then we pictured and our 2 dogs enjoyed the room to run around in the mountain air. My only suggestion would be to replace the kitchen knives, they were a little too dull to cook with.

The cabin was a perfect getaway for our large group and doggies. It's great to be able to take them along and we all loved the huge yard. Badminton tournies all week! The kitchen had everything we needed, and the home had plenty of games, toys and books. The beds were very comfy and it was great not to bring a high chair and crib. Only item we could not find was the iron. We also couldn't find the Kayak Cafe/Dog Beach on Onyx. Found another dog beach in Carnelian Bay so no problem. The week flew by way too fast - we will have to come back!

On behalf of the dogs and human friends we thank you for providing a wonderful house for our stay. The hot tub was great to have after our day of skiing one day, and hiking (to Skunk Harbor) the next. And don't forget those 1/2 priced Wet Woody's and appetizers at Garwoods just down the street. My only negative comment is that someone needs to take the time to organize the kitchen and stock it with some newer items. Also an extra roll or two of paper towels would have been great - or put on a list of don't forget to bring items. Enjoy!

Owner response:Thank you! Sping cleaning chores are scheduled soon, and this is when we reorganize and restock the kitchen. We do supply only a starter supply of paper goods. Guests will need to shop for these items, and this is on the emailed information sheet.

A wonderful Spring Getaway! This home had all we needed for a relaxing long weekend. We skied Northstar - very close and relaxed in the Hot Tub back at the house. We entertained one evening for dinner and found all we needed in the kitchen and outdoor Gas Grill! Our dog loved the big snow filled yard. House is clean, bright, lots of space, nice bedrooms, master bath and you would never know dogs stay here. We will definitely go back!!

This is the third year we have stayed here for our annual family reunion ski vacation. The house is very comfortable, clean and well stocked. We especially appreciate the high chair, portacribs, sleds and the family games and books so we don't have to lug those up for the kids. This year we skiied at Homewood, Tahoe Ski Ranch and Grandlibakken and ice skated at Northstar. We had a great lunch at Rosie's in Tahoe City, only about 15 minutes away. The house is easy to get to and in a quiet neighborhood.

We stayed with friends here for four nights and a birthday. It's a very nice house-- "cozy" in a good way with comfortable decor. The big yard and den were great for the kids (2x4yrs, 2x2yrs, 2x1yr). They had lots of sleds (and bikes and books and toys) that we could use. Kitchen is small, but is well-stocked with equipment, and we did lots of cooking. Convenient to several different snow play areas (just sledding for us). House rules were reasonable, making it a nice experience.

"Thank you so much for the use of your fabulous "Beach " house. Great fun was had by all- Boating, Beaching, Badmintoning...And that's just the B's.
