The Primrose Lodge is a 21 year old three-story home that has vaulted ceilings in the great room on the main level, and a wrap around deck and gazebo overlooking the woods. There are hardwood floors on the main level, with carpet in the bedrooms. There are two well maintained full-baths, one on the main floor and one on the upper level (both with shower only.)The 5 bedrooms are as follows: Main level - one king bed, one queen brass bed. Upper level - one room with bunk beds, and two rooms with double beds. Bed linens and towels are provided for an additional fee. Paper towels and toilet paper are provided. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, cooking utensils, dishes and many other items to make your stay comfortable.
Outside there is a picnic table and patio furniture, plus a charcoal grill for great cookouts under the stars.
Rooms are comfortable and well decorated and central air conditioning is available at no extra charge. There is a full-size pool table, TV with VCR/DVD and video library included.
The home is located just off 7 Points Road about five minutes from 7 Points Marina on Raystown Lake, in Hesston, Pennsylvania. In the area you will find a huge array of outdoor entertainment from hiking the many wooded trails to kayaking the Juniata River and fly fishing on some of the best streams in the East. Boat tours, boat rentals and fishing guides are available on Raystown Lake, a 28-mile long lake surrounded by virgin forest and complete with clean water, swimming beach and sand area.
Juniata College is located in Huntingdon, just 10 minutes away and State College, home of Penn State, is about an hour drive by car. The Primrose Lodge is available for rent weekends or by the week, Sat after 4 pm to the following Sat at 10 am. Please call for more details. This property is NEW to the rental market in 2008!

winter rates $150.00 per night, plus tax, plus $200.00 security deposit.
Weekly Saturday 4 pm check in to Saturday 10 am check out.
Terms: 50% due at time of booking. Full payment due 7 days prior to
check in date. Personal checks accepted. No Credit Cards.
Refund Policy: 3 weeks in advance, 90% refund; 2 weeks in advance of
booking 50% refund. One week in advance of booking, no refund
unless property can be rented. Maximum # of people: 10. Rates do not include tax.

Our family was extremely pleased with our springtime weekend rental. We wanted a central location for a reunion. Our grown children came from WV, DC, and NY for a fun weekend (about 4 hrs. for everyone). None of us had ever been to the area and were delighted with its beauty. Even in the rain, the Raystown Lake area provided activities. We enjoyed the visitor's center and the nearby caves. The home that we rented was spacious, accurately advertised, and clean. We hope to take advantage of this opportunity again for next year's reunion.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
