My husband and I just returned from a week at this beautiful, restful , Villa. Carrie was wonderful to work with. She made the process of renting so easy. She was very prompt at returning emails and answering questions. The beach, right at their door step, was so beautiful. All the surroundings were very beautiful and very quiet. Carrie has worked very hard to provide renters with all the information you need to make your stay very stress free. The Villa was extremely clean , beautiful , and was stocked with anything you might need. The bicycles provided were so much fun and in very good condition. If you would like a stress free vacation in a beatiful place, this Villa is for you !Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

Although we have been coming to Kiawah since 1978, this was the first time that my husband and I have had the opportunity to come without a large group of friends and family to accommodate. Carrie's villa was perfect for us! It was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The kitchen equipment was more than adequate for our stay, and the villa was cozily decorated. We especially enjoyed the lovely local artwork displayed. The bed was very comfortable and linens for bed and bath well supplied. Only steps to the ocean is right! We enjoyed walks and beach time as well as daily bike rides on the comfortable cruisers throughout the island trails. We would surely return to this villa for future getaways. Next time we will plan to stay longer!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for posting this kind review of our condo. We're happy to hear that it met your expectations, that you liked the proximity to the beach, the bikes, and the quality of our furnishings. The fact that you'll rent from us again is the best testimonial we could ask for. We value our repeat renters, so I look forward to hearing from you again. Carrie

We spent the last four days of 2010 at Carrie's villa - and had such a great time, we returned in 2011! Short of having an ocean view (which we don't want to pay for) we couldn't ask for more. The villa is clean, very well equipped, and very comfortable. Great new TV and lots of new videos. Obviously SOMEONE likes action movies! Great WiFi strength. Very comfortable king bed. Two bikes which we rode all over the island, including along the beach to the Ocean Course Clubhouse and then back via the bike trails along the road. Short walk to park and nature center, to E Beach sandwich shop, and to big, wide fantastic beach. Carrie is very accessable and responsive. We love Kiawah and this is a perfect place for a couple to stay. We'll be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

My husband and I visited Kiawah for our first half marathon and were lucky enough to find this condo for our stay. Everything is just as described and very clean and well taken care of. We did all of our cooking at the condo; the kitchen is nicely equipped with everything you need, even an ice cream scoop! There were several movies and books on the shelf that we enjoyed on our lazy afternoon. The view was great - we were surrounded by beautiful landscaping views from every window and less than a minutes' walk to be on the beach. We enjoyed riding the bikes around the bike paths and to a different part of the beach. The Nature Center and park was directly across the street. We went to the market at Fresh Fields upon arrival and got everything we needed for the weekend, and also enjoyed browsing at the shops there. We would definitely recommend this property.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights in this quiet and comfortable condo. You will find everything you need in this well stocked respite. The bicycles are a glorious way to tour Kiawah island. The beach is steps away and the perfect place to sip a beverage while watching the sun go down. The owner, Carrie is a pleasure to rent from.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

This villa is a definite accurate to it' s description on the site. The most captivating part was the beautiful sunset you get to experience from the couch or patio. The villa was immaculately clean clean and very will maintained. The owner promptly responded to questions regarding the property and surrounding area sites. I would definitely recommend this unit for girls getaway, romantic get away or small family getaway. Definitely recommend David's Roastfish and Cornbread resturant and Skull Creek Boat seafood resturants. And after such succulent meals walk it off on the beach or the near by outlet!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We came down for a beach wedding and it turned out to be a wonderful event! We looked online for a place to stay and decided on this Villa.....I will say, absolutely great, more than I imagined. This villa was ideal for us and the size was spacious. Just seconds from the beach, just a short walk from Heron Park. The villa comes with bikes and what a great way to explore the island. We rode every day and we enjoyed the trails beauty. The moss hanging from the oak trees, natural follliage, flowers, bridges over lagoons....just absolutely gorgeous views while riding the trails....you are missing out if you don't try biking! Oh, not to take away from the Villa, but don't waste time hanging indoors...get out and walk, bike and enjoy the beauty of the island. I could yak and yak about Kiawah...just come on down and stay at this Villa and enjoy a piece of "Paradise"Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

This was the perfect condo for the perfect vacation in Kiawah! Everything was wonderful. The condo was tastefully decorated and up to date, not overdone. It had everything we needed - great chairs for the beach, umbrella, boogie boards, bicycles, nice things in the kitchen. Carrie was so accomodating and responsive to any questions we had. The location was IDEAL, just walk out the door and onto the walkway to the beach. You are on the sand in minutes! Kiawah was such a great vacation spot. The beach was awesome, wide and long and clean. Charleston was about 30-40 min away with interesting sighseeing and excellent restaurants. I would highly recommend this condo and vacation spot!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

My husband and I went for a long weekend to attend a friends wedding an had a great experience! Carrie was so helpful and provided everything we needed. All we did was bring in some food because everything was provided. We had several friends staying around the island and they all said how many more amenities we were provided that they didn't have. We would absolutely return to carrie's condo again!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

As a first-time user of VRBO I was a little hesitant about renting a condo for spring break. However, Carrie went above and beyond making sure we would enjoy our stay by answering our questions promptly and then providing us a guide to Kiawah Island before our arrival. The owners take pride in their property and have everything move-in ready, which is a great staple to the stay. It was like moving into a house, amenities all included like beach gear, towels, and bikes. In addition, the owners have a replenish policy where they kindly ask you to replenish or leave non-perishable food and/or cleaning supplies behind for the next renters. During our stay it rained for 5 consecutive days. We came to learn that the Farmer's Almanac is 60-80% right 100% of the time. However, that didn't deter us from riding bikes, visiting the Charleston Tea Plantation, Firefly Distillery, Angel Oak Tree, Fort Sumter, and visiting Charleston in general. If you do go to Charleston visit the Battery, King's Street, Haymarket Square and eat at Amen for the best non-tourist, seafood, reasonably priced, restaurant. Needless to say, if you are looking for a condo 100 feet from a beach, this is your stay. Kiawah Island is quiet and noncommercial and the owners make it easy for your stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

About the owner: We live locally in the Charleston area, and both of us are avid tennis players. Recently, we picked up golf and are enjoying that, as well. We travel frequently, so we know what renters need, as well as what they "expect". We try our best to provide that, as well as to give you personalized, professional, and honest communication. The bottom line is that We Care.
Why the Owner Chose Windswept Villas:
We have been playing tennis at Kiawah and Seabrook Island tournaments for years and finally decided to purchase our own villa there. We chose this particular unit in Windswept because of the proximity to the beach. What's nice about Windswept villas is the fact that the kitchen is separate from the living area, and the floor plan, in general, is very nice. We also liked having the outside storage area for our bikes and beach gear. Other complexes in the East Beach area with 1 bedroom villas did not appeal to us because they seemed cramped and lacked outside storage.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
Biking, tennis, and golf are the activities we enjoy the most when visiting our villa.
