My husband and I just returned from a week at this beautiful, restful , Villa. Carrie was wonderful to work with. She made the process of renting so easy. She was very prompt at returning emails and answering questions. The beach, right at their door step, was so beautiful. All the surroundings were very beautiful and very quiet. Carrie has worked very hard to provide renters with all the information you need to make your stay very stress free. The Villa was extremely clean , beautiful , and was stocked with anything you might need. The bicycles provided were so much fun and in very good condition. If you would like a stress free vacation in a beatiful place, this Villa is for you !

Although we have been coming to Kiawah since 1978, this was the first time that my husband and I have had the opportunity to come without a large group of friends and family to accommodate. Carrie's villa was perfect for us! It was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The kitchen equipment was more than adequate for our stay, and the villa was cozily decorated. We especially enjoyed the lovely local artwork displayed. The bed was very comfortable and linens for bed and bath well supplied. Only steps to the ocean is right! We enjoyed walks and beach time as well as daily bike rides on the comfortable cruisers throughout the island trails. We would surely return to this villa for future getaways. Next time we will plan to stay longer!

Owner response: Thanks so much for posting this kind review of our condo. We're happy to hear that it met your expectations, that you liked the proximity to the beach, the bikes, and the quality of our furnishings. The fact that you'll rent from us again is the best testimonial we could ask for. We value our repeat renters, so I look forward to hearing from you again. Carrie

We spent the last four days of 2010 at Carrie's villa - and had such a great time, we returned in 2011! Short of having an ocean view (which we don't want to pay for) we couldn't ask for more. The villa is clean, very well equipped, and very comfortable. Great new TV and lots of new videos. Obviously SOMEONE likes action movies! Great WiFi strength. Very comfortable king bed. Two bikes which we rode all over the island, including along the beach to the Ocean Course Clubhouse and then back via the bike trails along the road. Short walk to park and nature center, to E Beach sandwich shop, and to big, wide fantastic beach. Carrie is very accessable and responsive. We love Kiawah and this is a perfect place for a couple to stay. We'll be back!

My husband and I visited Kiawah for our first half marathon and were lucky enough to find this condo for our stay. Everything is just as described and very clean and well taken care of. We did all of our cooking at the condo; the kitchen is nicely equipped with everything you need, even an ice cream scoop! There were several movies and books on the shelf that we enjoyed on our lazy afternoon. The view was great - we were surrounded by beautiful landscaping views from every window and less than a minutes' walk to be on the beach. We enjoyed riding the bikes around the bike paths and to a different part of the beach. The Nature Center and park was directly across the street. We went to the market at Fresh Fields upon arrival and got everything we needed for the weekend, and also enjoyed browsing at the shops there. We would definitely recommend this property.

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights in this quiet and comfortable condo. You will find everything you need in this well stocked respite. The bicycles are a glorious way to tour Kiawah island. The beach is steps away and the perfect place to sip a beverage while watching the sun go down. The owner, Carrie is a pleasure to rent from.

This villa is a definite accurate to it' s description on the site. The most captivating part was the beautiful sunset you get to experience from the couch or patio. The villa was immaculately clean clean and very will maintained. The owner promptly responded to questions regarding the property and surrounding area sites. I would definitely recommend this unit for girls getaway, romantic get away or small family getaway. Definitely recommend David's Roastfish and Cornbread resturant and Skull Creek Boat seafood resturants. And after such succulent meals walk it off on the beach or the near by outlet!

We came down for a beach wedding and it turned out to be a wonderful event! We looked online for a place to stay and decided on this Villa.....I will say, absolutely great, more than I imagined. This villa was ideal for us and the size was spacious. Just seconds from the beach, just a short walk from Heron Park. The villa comes with bikes and what a great way to explore the island. We rode every day and we enjoyed the trails beauty. The moss hanging from the oak trees, natural follliage, flowers, bridges over lagoons....just absolutely gorgeous views while riding the trails....you are missing out if you don't try biking! Oh, not to take away from the Villa, but don't waste time hanging indoors...get out and walk, bike and enjoy the beauty of the island. I could yak and yak about Kiawah...just come on down and stay at this Villa and enjoy a piece of "Paradise"

This was the perfect condo for the perfect vacation in Kiawah! Everything was wonderful. The condo was tastefully decorated and up to date, not overdone. It had everything we needed - great chairs for the beach, umbrella, boogie boards, bicycles, nice things in the kitchen. Carrie was so accomodating and responsive to any questions we had. The location was IDEAL, just walk out the door and onto the walkway to the beach. You are on the sand in minutes! Kiawah was such a great vacation spot. The beach was awesome, wide and long and clean. Charleston was about 30-40 min away with interesting sighseeing and excellent restaurants. I would highly recommend this condo and vacation spot!

My husband and I went for a long weekend to attend a friends wedding an had a great experience! Carrie was so helpful and provided everything we needed. All we did was bring in some food because everything was provided. We had several friends staying around the island and they all said how many more amenities we were provided that they didn't have. We would absolutely return to carrie's condo again!

As a first-time user of VRBO I was a little hesitant about renting a condo for spring break. However, Carrie went above and beyond making sure we would enjoy our stay by answering our questions promptly and then providing us a guide to Kiawah Island before our arrival. The owners take pride in their property and have everything move-in ready, which is a great staple to the stay. It was like moving into a house, amenities all included like beach gear, towels, and bikes. In addition, the owners have a replenish policy where they kindly ask you to replenish or leave non-perishable food and/or cleaning supplies behind for the next renters. During our stay it rained for 5 consecutive days. We came to learn that the Farmer's Almanac is 60-80% right 100% of the time. However, that didn't deter us from riding bikes, visiting the Charleston Tea Plantation, Firefly Distillery, Angel Oak Tree, Fort Sumter, and visiting Charleston in general. If you do go to Charleston visit the Battery, King's Street, Haymarket Square and eat at Amen for the best non-tourist, seafood, reasonably priced, restaurant. Needless to say, if you are looking for a condo 100 feet from a beach, this is your stay. Kiawah Island is quiet and noncommercial and the owners make it easy for your stay.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week in Carrie's condo. The condo had a perfect layout and was furnished with quality items. The condo included everything we needed for our stay - just bring your groceries! We really enjoyed the bicycles that were included - we rode bikes each day along Kiawah's 30+miles of paved bike trails. The best thing about this condo is the location - literally just steps from the beach! We are already planning our return visit, and will book this condo again. Carrie, the owner, is very helpful and was great to work with.

We stayed here for three weeks and found this condo to be the best! We loved the location and all the amenities that are provided: well supplied kitchen, comfortable furnishings, use of bikes, beach chairs, beach towels, separate laundry room, etc. This has a nice floor plan with a good amount of space. Will definitely stay here again!

Thank you for your lovely condo! We had a great time. There was hardly any one on the beach while we were there. Just us and hundreds of starfish and crabs. we enjoyed our long bike ride and saw 5 deer and many herons and egrets. Already can't wait for my next vacation there. It's truly a wonderful place to be.

Carrie, Thanks for allowing us to stay in this great condo. The unit's close proximity to the ocean is incredible. Great bedding and appliances. We love the deck. The beach is very uncrowded and very pristine. This is the island to visit to dodge commercialism and get truly back to what a beach vacation should be. Thanks and we hope to visit this unit again.

Great location along East Beach, probably less than 150 feet to boardwalk/open outdoor shower ~ Close to the Sanctuary ~ Nice and caring owners who think of all of the wonderful details and include them in their comfy Villa ~ Owners are so kind to also include valuable info regarding Kiawah Island such as grocery store, Starbuck's, restaurants, etc ~ this is a top notch property and owner who genuinely cares about their guests! Looking forward to our return! Thanks so much, Carrie!

My wife and I honeymooned in kiawah and had the pleasure of staying in Carrie's Windswept Villa. All the comforts of home and then some. The Heron Pool is about a two minute walk as is the beach! The best of best worlds imho. The bikes came in handy as did the beach umbrella and beach chairs + extra beach towels! Anyone would be silly not to rent from Carrie, nothing can possibly go wrong provided the weather cooperates. Enjoy I know we did!

My wife and I spent February, 2008 in Carrie's villa and had a wonderful time enjoying Kiawah and the Charleston area for the first time. The location of the villa steps from the beach, the tasteful decor, the fully equipped kitchen and laundry, the luxurious bed, and the large LCD TV were all wonderful. The use of Carrie's bikes was also appreciated. The weather was very nice (mostly in the high 60s)for February for us Northerners and the walks on the beach and bike rides through the beautiful grounds and wildlife areas were exceptional. The location and amenities of the villa combined with Carrie's friendliness and hospitality made for an outstanding and economical extended vacation. We ope to return.

Having just returned from a glorious week in Kiawah (our first time), we each are having difficulty adjusting to the temperature and the routine. This condo is everything we wanted and more...perfect location, wonderful amenities and a lovely, comfortable home. I have rarely stayed at a place for a week that felt this home-like and Carrie and Jim provide so many of the extras that truly enhance the stay. We enjoyed using the "extras" provided; especially those wonderful bicycles. Your thorough and complete handout that you e-mailed prior to our arrival not only anticipated all of our questions, but gave us more information than we could have ever thought to ask. This is a real treasure....from the fully equipped kitchen to the lovely terrace off the living room/bedroom, to the wonderfully stocked book selection and dvd/cd collection. Thanks for bringing a real vacation to each of us. Carol and Giuseppe

My wife and I stayed in this unit during the first part of October and were very pleased with the unit overall and the effort taken by the owner to ensure our comfort and happiness. The unit is well furnished and very pleasant with a very comfortable king size bed in the bedroom. The owner thoughtfully allowed the use of their personal items for the comfort of their guests. The location of the unit is just a few quick steps from the beach and is centrally located within Kiawah and just across the street from the Night Heron Park and its activities. We enjoyed our stay very much and will try to return in the future.

We have finished our third yearly visit in this condo, and every year we find more to enjoy. This time there was a new stove, refrigerator,HDTV, and WiFi. But the greatest asset for us is its closeness to the beach. We live sitting under an umbrella, watching the waves come and go, and catch up on our conversations. It's a wonderful vacation place, and the comfort of the condo is truly outstanding. We are making plans for a return trip in the spring or fall.

We loved your villa and the pictures did not do it justice!! We enjoyed our stay and it was very relaxing. We would definitely stay there in the future and would recommend it to family and friends. My husband rode one of the bikes every day. We used all your beach equipment which saved us some money. The kitchen was very well equipped. I left a few extras in the supply closet. I really like that system you’ve developed and it seems to work well.

What a welcoming home you have created, and we truly appreciate it. We arrived Thursday evening in the drizzling rain. Your housekeeper had left a light on in the LR and the BDRM and it looked so inviting when we opened the door. Your decor is beautiful, and I appreciated all the special touches. I love accent lamps--and you have used them so well. The ottoman under the table, the special pull-down shade on the patio door, the top-notch applicances--everything was just a special touch that doesn't occur in rental properties. Thank you for sharing your condo. We could tell you love it. Jim and Judy, 3/6/07

We have stayed here many times and the location is awesome. The best pool and the beach are steps away. The bikes, beach chairs, towels, umbrella are a big plus. The owners are really great to work with and really try to make their guests feel welcome. We were there once during a threatening tropical storm/hurricane and they called a day or two prior to landfall to check on us and offered us a refund if we wanted to leave (without us even asking). Nice folks to work with. All amenities of the resort and a great rate. Love it.

My wife and I stayed in this villa in late May/early June 2005. We thoroughly enjoyed it. This was our first trip to Kiawah, and we decided that we picked a very good unit to stay in. It does not have an ocean view, but I counted 150 steps from the unit to the beach, and we really didn't desire an ocean view anyway. It is very close to the Sanctuary and to Night Heron park. These owners are willing to let their guests use their bikes, towels, and beach equipment, which was a big plus for us. That probably saved us $100 or more on rentals while we were there. The unit is well-kept, and the service from the Kiawah staff was fine. We thought one of the highlights of our trip was a morning kayak excursion into the saltwater marsh between Kiawah and Seabrook. We had a dolphin swim right past our kayaks. Definitely worth it. As far as Kiawah goes, no matter how much you want to do, or if you just want to hang out on the beach, I would recommend this Windswept unit. We were impressed. Please e-mail with any questions.
