This condo offers privacy with beautiful ocean views. The unit itself is well furnished and very clean, all amenities advertised are accurate, providing a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Nearby Fort Macon is within walking/biking distance and is well worth the time spent touring. There are many great restaurants in the area as well.

We had a wonderful stay! Great views of the lighthouse light at night, and also the flags flying over Fort Macon. Very clean with all the amenities needed for a family of eight. Fort Macon is a wonderful education opportunity and it's only minutes away. The beach is just a short walk and very nice. Owner was very easy to work with and we would highly recommend this property.

My sister, a friend and I were delighted with the accommodations at Tar Landing. The unit was easy to find, very clean, tastefully decorated and well appointed. The photos give a good picture of what to expect and the owner was helpful and very pleasant. The condo was conveniently located for side trips to Beaufort, the aquarium, Fort Macon State Park and local restaurants. In Beaufort we enjoyed both the harbor boat tour and the boat ride to the lighthouse, the walking tour, maritime museum, the old cemetery and shopping. We enjoyed the nature tour and the fort and museum at Fort Macon. The beach was just a few steps from the condo and was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.

We love Tar Landing! We are from a family of four generations that has vacationed there over the years. This is the second year we have stayed at this condo. It is nicely furnished, comfortable, and well equipped. It is situated across from the pool and just a short walk to the beach. The owner is very helpful and accommodating. We were there when hurricane Irene was due and the owner was easy to reach by phone, which was comforting. It is a wonderful beach experience with museums, restaurants, shopping and Fort Macon nearby.
Owner response:Thank you for all your help. You guys were the best!!!

My wife and I have stayed at 6 or 7 different units at Tar Landing so we were very familiar with this set of condos. This summer I decided to try going through VRBO, where the owners list their own housing. Well we hit the jackpot when we reached the owner of this unit. Where do I start? Clean, well decorated, comfortable, everything that we needed to enjoy our week at the beach. I'll never look to anywhere else when we plan a trip to Atlantic Beach. About the beach. The stretch at Tar Landing is the least crowded of anywhere else that is within walking distance. It's like having your own private beach. The owner was a joy to deal with and made our trip simple and painless. So if you want a excellent place to enjoy the beach, this unit at Tar Landing would be hard to beat.

We had a wonderful family vacation and look forward to returning. From the beautifuly decorated home to the pool, to the proximety of the beach we could not have wished for a better place to spend our vacation. We had three generations of the Fitzsimmons family and each and every one of us looks forward to returning to this amazing community! The views from the balconies are breathetaking and we enjoyed spending our mornings and evenings lounging watching the birds in the state parks. The view of the lighthouse light and the boats coming into the sound from the upper balcony amazed the children and adults alike. We spent a day at Shackleford Banks that will forever provide memories and stories to be told of shelling, wild horses and prestine beaches of untouched natural seascapes. The owner is amazing and beyond friendly. She was available to answer all of our questions and concerns, and we have nothing but thanks and apprieciation for her and her family!

What a wonderful, comfortable place to spend a vacation. Beautiful beach and so much close by - the place felt like home - wonderfully stocked kitchen - we made Easter dinner for 12 and had plenty of room - can't even begin to tell what a wonderful time we had while staying here. Would definitely want to come here over and over again - in fact maybe later this fall!!

My family of 6 stayed here in October and it was perfect. We had so much room to spread out and have our own space. It is near the beach, clean, and very peaceful. We loved our stay and look forward to staying here again!

PERFECT FOR PARENTS AND KIDS ALIKE. CLOSE TO PRIVATE BEACH AND POOL. QUIET AND CLEAN AND RIGHT BESIDE THE NATIONAL PARK YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE ON AN ISOLATED ISLAND FAR FAR AWAY FROM THE HUSSLE AND BUSSLE OF EVERYDAY LIFE. BUT REALLY JUST A SHORT DRIVE FROM EVERYTHING YOU COULD NEED.

Our extended family spend July 4th week at this condominium and the weather, beach and surroundings were exactly what we needed to glide into the next few months. I think the views of the dunes from the rear balconies were especially private and provided for a great place for dinner or a morning coffee.

7/13 this home is decorated in a way that you immediately feel comfortable. The location is great for getting on & off the coast. The gate made a very secure area & we didnt need to worry about other vehicles driving into Tar Landing. The large pool is a great asset to this rental. Would definately recommend to anyone & would also rent as a family again. Each of us had privacy.

We had a great family time here at the beach. The condo is well furnished, located perfectly between the beach and the undeveloped dunes of the state park. There are tons of family activities in the area. The owners have added lots of personal extras, such as beach chairs, boogie boards, a propane grill, and many other items to make your stay here enjoyable.

We spent a great 4th of July week in this beautiful condo! Our family hopes to spend more vacations here. We loved the beach, Fort Macon, visiting Beaufort, but most of all the views from the porches. We highly recommend this condo!

Very pleasant condo in quiet, friendly community. Secluded position on Fort Macon end of the island. Short walk to the beach. Convenient shower at end of beach walkway. Personal touches by condo owner for guests were very welcome. We will be returning.
