    Tres bon rapport qualite prix pour ce petit appartement bien arrange, la chambre + SDB est tres agreable. Le quartier est ideal, des bons restaurants a 5 minutes a pied, le vieux montreal est a 10 -15 minutes de marche, la rue sainte catherine a 10 minutes et le metre est a 3 minutes. Le proprietaire est tres sympa. Ili faut juste savoir qu'il y a seulement un grand lit, les autres couchages sont sur des matelas, tres confortables cependant.

    Our stay at this suite was perfect after Christmas. We were snowed in but Alain was very kind removing all the snow so we could get out. He also reserved us a parking spot on the road which was nice not to pay extra for parking. Everything was super clean, bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen is fully stocked. The location is extremely quite since it's on a one way street. We were able to walk to everything from the grocery store, Old Montreal, and do night life with out worrying about taxis. If we come back to Montreal, we would look into staying at this place again. It is definitely worth staying here instead of a hotel room. To top it off Alain was a very friendly person and made our stay that more enjoyable, thanks Alain!

    This place was great. Perfect location, in a residential neighborhood but just a block or two from the downtown. Everything was within walking distance - Old City, the Mountain, St Denis street, etc. Tons of amenities in the apartment - heated bathroom floors, lots of room temperature control, very true to the photos. Owner was great - greeted us with the keys, showed us where to park (very easy), had a ton of maps displayed in the apartment and had many suggestions of where to go and what to see. Use the bikes he has, great way to see the city. The subway was only a block away, very easy to use. Grocery store only a few blocks away too!

    Our mission was to drop our son off to college and spend a few nights in Montreal. We didn't want an impersonal hotel and we opted for this apartment. The pictures did not due justice to the place which was in impecabble shape thanks to Alain's handywork and his wife's eye for design. The weather was amenable so we made good use of the garden and bbq.We were a short walk to the métro which allowed easy access to all part of the city and there was convenient shopping nearby but free access to the the two bikes was what transformed our trip from being tourists to locals. Combined with Alain's kindness and advice on all aspects of his city somehow made leaving our son to his city just a little bit easier. We would highly recommend this quaint apartment to anyone planning to make the most of their Montreal stay!

    Thanks Alain for a lovely stay. This was our first experience with Home Away and was extremely pleased. The home was situated in a quiet, safe neighborhood within short walking distance to metro, restaurants, and local Atwater Market (a must see). The apartment was perfect for our needs and was well equipped with anything one might need while away from home. Everything was in excellent working condition, clean, comfortable and our host, Alain was helpful and knowledgeable about where to go and what to do in the city. The hot tub is another benefit, but unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate with us. Our only regret is that we were unable to stay longer!! We would definitely return to this lovely apartment and recommend it to others. Thanks again Alain. We hope to see you again soon. Ron and Diane

    Alain's suite is located at pretty much the perfect location. it is quiet enough that you feel like you can have a great rest, but central enough that you can walk just about anywhere or go to the nearest tube station that is about a 5minute walk from the suite. Alain is a terrific host, who furnished us with personalized advice when we needed it. The suite is very nicely personalized, it is obvious how much love and care goes into it - Alain's wife dreams up the interior of the place, and Alain makes it happen. All in all, I highly recommend this place for a Montreal trip.

    We stayed at Suite 01 for 9 days at the end of June and were very pleased with the apartment. Having a washer, dryer and dishwasher made life easy for us. The Hot Tub is a wonderful relaxing addition. The cable TV is great with both French and English channels. There are good reading lamps and nightstands by the comfy bed. Alain, the owner, is a very friendly, informative and helpful person...if you need anything do not hesitate to call on him. A big plus, for the summer, is that they have installed an air conditioner that is absolutely silent. The apartment is about a 20 minute walk to Vieux Montreal and about 2 blocks to the closest Metro station so it is quite convenient. Our conference was at the Palais du Congres, Montreal, which was a pleasant 20 minute walk. There is a Metro Plus supermarket about 2 1/2 blocks away which has a good selection, and there is a Gourmet Market right down the street (but it is very expensive). The Atwater market is about a 20 minute walk as well, with tons of fresh fruit, produce, cheese, etc. Rue St. Cathrine, with lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. is 3 blocks up the hill. We would definitely stay here again when coming back to Montreal.

    We had worried about city noise--How silly! The area was as "quiet as a mouse", but, still, so much was within easy walking distance... We loved our little nest in the City! The Host, Alain, was on hand by phone to help us direct our taxi driver to the address and then was very helpful in getting us oriented to our surroundings and the places we needed to get to. And all the maps and brochures provided in the apartment went the rest of the way during our stay. The apartment was very "warm" and cozy but not at all small or crowded for two and seemed brand new, spotless, and nicely done! All in all, we had a lovely experience and would definitely return if we ever go back to Montreal! We even were able to enjoy the hot tub on the back patio--and we had not brought suits--it was very private...

    My boyfriend and I came to visit Montreal for the first time and had the pleasure of staying at Alain's place for 1 week. I was visiting from California and had never used HomeAway before, so I was not quite sure what to expect. Alain was there to greet us and assisted us with everything from where to park to the "must-see" places in Montreal. He even took the time to show us a map and directed us to various restaurants, grocery stores and tourist attractions. The place itself was very clean and so relaxing! Alain provided detailed guidelines and explanations for how to use everything and where to find what we needed within the home. We also spent the following week in another vacation rental and after comparing my two experiences, Alain's place was truly the best! Alain is an excellent host and genuinely wants to ensure that you have a great stay and feel at home. Thank you so much Alain!

    This is a fantastic appartment - tastefully furnished, well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is close to the main tourist locations and within easy walking distance of grocery shops and restaurants. Alain was a kind and helpful owner. It snowed while we were there (late March) but Montreal life continued as usual - and so did we!

    Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    We stayed here in October 2010 for a few days before taking a cruise through the maritime provences. Alain was a wonderful host and was very helpful in enabling us to enjoy our visit to Montreal. Suite One is just as pictured. Excellent location with excellent features. We felt right at home. It is also within walking distance of a grocery store. The suite is near bus and subway transportation which made getting around the city very easy. I highly recommend Alain and Montreal Suite.

    Really loved this place - spacious, but with a cosy feel. Loved the exposed brick (especially in the shower!) and great design. Had all the elements for a short or long term stay. Especially loved the backyard space and hot tub. Only downside was a lack of AC. Not that we really needed it even in July, but it would have made things feel more complete. And Alain is great!

    This place is just beautiful... it is an immaculate haven in the middle of Montreal. It is within walking distance to Old Monreal, St. Catherine Street, shopping and restaurants. The owner is extremely pleasant and very helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment on your next visit to Montreal!!

    The suite was exactly as described. It was a very beautiful place, very clean and it was situated within walking distance of many of the major sites to see in Montreal. Definitely walking distance to nearly everything if the weather is nice out! The host (Alain) was very kind and made sure everything went smoothly. He has filled the suite with many magazines, books, DVDs and CDs as well as guides and tourist books for getting around Montreal. Overall it was a wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Montreal, especially if you want to go sight-seeing!

    I apologize for the late review! I stayed here with my girlfriend at the time, in early February. We arrived after a recent blizzard and the Montreal Department of Waste ,or something to that effect, was on strike. The streets were covered. Our gracious host Alain, after finding the apartment, was kind enough to ride around with me while I tried to find parking, translating the signs and making sure I didn't park in a tow zone. He even jumped out of the car to help shovel out a parking spot. Needless to say, his hospitality was more than I could have asked for. The apartment was a great "home base" for our weekend adventures. Fairly close walking distance to the Metro, which would have been even less of an ordeal if we weren't trecking through the snow. The apartment is perfectly sized for a couple, and the amenities and furnishings are top notch. The unique shower was very memorable. The Hot Tub was not working at that point, I believe as a result of extremely low temperatures. We were notified beforehand and offered a bottle of wine or champagne for the inconvenience. Overall, I strongly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Montreal.
