The Humpback Whales are back in Maui waters!
Maui’s first reported humpback whale sighting of the season took place on Wednesday, October 20 about two nautical miles off Ukumehame (located between Ma’alaea and Lahaina).
"This whale sighting is exactly on time,” said Greg Kaufman, Founder and Chief Scientist at Pacific Whale Foundation.
“Last year, the first sighting was also on October 20.

Our stay at Ashvin's Whaler unit was wonderful and exactly what we hoped for. It was the perfect size for our family of four. The amenities provided made our stay extremely comfortable -- like home away from home. The Whaler is prime location in Ka'anapali beach, having ample beach front and close proximity to Black Rock and beach side dining. The property is very clean and well maintained. Ashvin was very helpful in answering many of my questions upfront and communicative in the weeks leading up to our arrival. I would stay at this property again and would recommend to friends and family. I would recommend Black Rock for snorkling, the Hula Grill for dinner, Lahina for shopping, and trips to Haleakala and Road to Hana.

We talked about a trip to Hawaii for 25 years. Our dream came true the end of Sept. I did not want to leave. The room was very spaceous and comfortable and had everything we needed. The views are spectacular and I got up every morning to watch the sun rise. Every single day it looked different. The beautifull Zebra finches sang to us all day long. I loved the music, the lights and smells from the Whaler Village every night. I just do not have enough room here to say what I want to say. Ashvin's Maui home is a dream!

We enjoyed our stay in mid June. The condo was just as described and pictured with up to date appointments and amenities. It was spotless and beautiful. The owner is very pleasant, prompt and helpful. Ka'anapali is the place to be for a wonderful vacation.

We had a wonderful time staying at your condo. It was beautiful - the pictures do not do it justice. Although I am a long-time resident of O`ahu, this was my first vacation in Ka`anapali; it will not be my last. We stayed over spring break and really enjoyed our ourselves. It was great to just get up, go outside and be at the beach. The unit was lovely and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend the Whaler and this unit.

We have stayed in many units there, but we really enjoy being up high facing the village. There are some little things you could add to the condo for more convenience. A laundry basket for doing laundry. Beach towels Ashvin, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us. We have several friends that visit Maui. We will pass on your info on your condo. Hi Ashvin,We loved your condo and we were very comfortable there. The only thing that I would suggest, and this is personal preference, is that the sofa and the bed be on the opposite wall so that you can see the ocean while sitting or laying down. In fact, we liked it so much that I would want to stay there again. Hopefully we’ll get back to Maui next year. Hope this helps, but really, everything was great and I thought it was nicely decorated and felt very “rich”. We were impressed and loved it. Maria
