Oak Lodge is a large house (4000 square feet.) in the woods on a large tract, so there are no close neighbors. Thus, it is private, quiet and peaceful. There are three levels, with the main level housing the full kitchen, living room, dining and TV ell, plus a full bathroom and fireplace. There are decks to the front and to the back. The upper level houses two bedrooms, a full bathroom and an activity area, and overlooks the living room from a balcony. The lower level has a third bedroom with two beds. with the main area consisting of a recreation room with a walkout to the rear yard. There is a large bathroom with shower and also the utility room with a full size washer and dryer for your use.
You have the security of a two car garage with door opener allowing you direct access to the house.
The house is about six blocks to the Lake. You are trading size, peace and quiet for immediate Lake access, which are smaller, cramped and crowded. Higgins Lake is primarily residential and private, so the best access to the Lake is at the two State Parks, with sandy beaches, guards, especially for kids, with concessions, dressing rooms, boat rentals, etc. Then, you are back to your peace and quiet home for the evening.
