This is a delightful apartment located in a quiet neighbourhood within easy walking distance of the Louvre, Notre Dame, and the Pompidou Centre. My wife and I initially wondered whether a studio-sized apartment might be too small for our needs, but those apprehensions were quickly put to rest. The apartment had everything we needed and could hope for: sink/stove island, separate shower and toilet, washer/dryer, and free phone calls back to North America. The apartment has been tastefully decorated and recently re-modeled. Bathroom and kitchen fixtures are new and modern. And to reassure anyone concerned about the comfort of the pull-out sofa-bed, it was fine. Lovely duvet, sheets, and mattress. No problem sleeping (perhaps it was all the walking we did around the city). For his part, Tom was friendly, helpful and quick to respond by email. No trouble whatsoever in making all the arrangements. For anyone looking to be close to the action without being right on top of it, Tom's apartment is an excellent option. Highly recommend it. Visiting in December was also great because of the absence of line-ups at most places. Oh yes, and the apartment is well-heated (for those thinking about visiting in the winter months).
Owner response:Thanks for your nice comments everyone. The apartment is where I live when I am often in Paris for work, and I think people sense that it is truly my home in Paris. Merci! Tom

I spent a little under a week here in early December and it was exactly what I needed. The place is clean with all the amenities needed for a short/longer stay and the location was perfect. The owner is quite responsive and gives great recommendations of the neighbourhood. I would definitely rent the studio again. Highly recommended!

Tom's studio was wonderful for two, and Tom made every effort to accommodate us. Even though plans changed on his end and he could have canceled our reservation, he honored our verbal agreement to the end; Tom is a man of his word! The studio is very comfortable with nearly every amenity you could wish for. The sofa/bed is extremely comfortable, the two large windows let in the perfect amount of Paris sunlight, and the location is ideal. We loved it and we will return!

I stayed in Tom's studio for five nights in April and truly enjoyed it. The building is quite nice and as others have mentioned, the studio looks even better than it does in the pictures, with a nice mix of antique and modern furnishings. The large windows made the apartment light and airy and the wood floors were beautiful. The apartment was also quite clean. I am always wary of sofa beds, but this one was quite comfortable. In addition, the street was very quiet at night and I slept well every night. The location could hardly be better, with great restaurants, shopping, and museums within walking distance. Tom was friendly and accommodating, and the woman who checked me in and gave me the keys was great as well. Staying here was far superior (and cheaper!) than staying in a hotel would have been, and I would stay here again without reservation.

My partner and I stayed in this studio apartment for 5 days in January. It is absolutely perfect and couldn't be faulted. Very well thought out and designed with lots of nice furnishings. Original floorboards and antique wardrobes teamed with other unique (and more modern) furnishings and fittings made it feel more considered and special than than other rental apartments. The french doors make the place very bright and airy whilst the double glazing kept the place very warm and cosy (even in January). It was just as described although we would add that it looks even better in person than in the photographs. It's right at the centre of the quirkiest part of Marais (in our opinion!). Lovely small galleries, boutiques and cafes are on your doorstep as is the fresh produce of the many fishmongers, delis, butchers and patisseries. The kitchen has everything you need if you fancy cooking. Try Marche Enfant Rouges for wonderful beef, veal and shellfish and shed off the excess by touring the area on a Velib (for €1!!). We will be back. Thanks Tom.

Tom was fantastic to deal with and very thoughtful. The studio location couldn't have been better. I walked absolutely everywhere and there was so much to explore in the immediate area. One really feels "at home" in the studio. No word of a lie... the pull out bed is VERY comfortable. I look forward to my next stay.

We enjoyed staying at this apartment. Everything was so functional and well thought-out, from the REALLY comfortable sofa bed to the free phone calls to the US. Not a single detail was missing. Of course it goes without saying that it was a beautiful as well, and I hope we get another chance to visit sometime.

This apartment was perfect for two girlfriends exploring Paris for the first time. Owner Tom was exceptionally good to deal with and provided us with heaps information and important numbers one might need in a foreign country. And always made himself available. The apartment is in a gorgeous neighborhood with so many surrounding boutiques and cafes. As well as the must see Picasso museum! There many attractions to visit nearby that are easily accessible on foot. It is also an easy walk to the beautiful Notre Dame cathedral and the Bastile area. The closest metro stop is not far and quite easy to use. And the tourist bus has a stop just on the main road. The apartment itself is even better in real life. Very clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. It is fully equipped with every kitchen utensil and household appliance you could need and every worked perfectly. The sofa bed was quite roomy and comfortable for two persons. Another important feature was the heating in the apartment which was fantastic. Travelling in winter we had never experienced such cold weather back home but the two heaters in the apartment were great and heated the entire room enabling us to sleep comfortably. The free wireless internet was also very useful and convenient in our travels. I highly recommend this apartment as I really could not fault it in any way and I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Paris, which I really hope i do!

My boyfriend and I visited Paris for the first time early in September and loved staying in Tom's studio. It is a lovely and quiet space, and the light that comes in throughout the day gives it a fresh and airy feel. Sofa beds can be a deal breaker for some, but this really is the most comfortable sofa bed we have ever slept on, it feels just like a bed! After long walks exploring the beautiful city of Paris, coming back to the studio really felt like home, it was such a nice experience. The location is beautiful, the studio is perfect, and we plan to visit sometime next year and stay here again.
