Located near Yosemite and the Merced River canyon where you can enjoy rafting, skiing, hiking, nature trails, biking, and the sightseeing thrills of this natural wonder. We are located just off the Yosemite highway 140 corridor at 3300 elevation. StoneHaven provides furnished beds with linens and baths with towels. The first downstairs bedroom features a king-size bed and connects to the master bathroom. The second downstairs bedroom has a queen-size bed and adjoining bath. Up the ladder from the living area is the full loft room with a double bed. And finally in the living area a full-size futon sofa.

There is a furnished kitchen with service for eight. Gas cooking stovetop and oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer, coffee maker, microwave and service for eight. In the media area, there is Direct TV, DVD, and VCR. Outside we have a fenced spa garden with hot tub that seats five adults. During a visit in summer, many flowers will be blooming in the garden. There is also deck surrounding the house and overlooking the spa garden and the surrounding countryside.

The dining and living area has 12 inch ponderosa pine plank floors cleared from the local forest. Covering the floors for summer are sisal rugs. The windows are covered in Belgian linen and Thai silk drapes. There is wool carpet in the downstairs bedrooms. There is central heating and air conditioning, plus a large ceiling fan in the living area. An open front wood burning stove, but you won't be interested in that during Summer months.

Telephone service in the house is for local calls. The cell phone service is very good for most cell service providers since the cell tower is nearby. StoneHaven is connected to the world with wireless Internet access for your portable computer throughout the house an on the decks.

Sierra StoneHaven is located on 17 secluded acres. This property also joins with the Bureau of Land Management acreage that is hundreds of acres. At StoneHaven you are apt to see wildlife as an ordinary event. It's a quiet and wonderful place to be with people you love. We're glad to be able to share the setting with you and your guests.

  • We stayed here in June for 4 days with our 3 kids age 11, 8 and 6. It was indeed a 5 stars hotel experience in a vacation home. The home was tastefully done up and yet very cozy, it looks just like in the pictures. It has more than enough space for our family. Our boys had fun sleeping in the loft. The owner has everything thought out for the guests, all the fittings were of high quality. Beautiful grounds around the house, peaceful and quiet which we appreciate. The house is not far off SR140 and the drive to Yosemite is very scenic along the Merced river which more than compensates the distance. We looked forward to come back to everyday after a day out in the Sierra. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for everything and making your home available.

It is peaceful,the decoration is cozy and comfortable, enough space for a family and the outdoor is stunning. On our last day a little "bambie" came to me and i was able to pet it. Thank you again for this great in/outdoor experience and for sure we will be back and also a lot of my friends. frank xo
