My husband and I stayed in this condo for 2 weeks after Christmas. The pictures of the property are accurate and the condo is obviously decorated beautifully and very clean. The lanai has comfortable chairs around a table where we eat breakfast watching the ocean. The master king size bed is huge, very comfortable, and you can see the ocean from the bed!! The condo has a good location not far from Sarasota. The beach was not crowded and the association provides chairs and lounges on the beach. The condo association keeps the condo building very clean, neat and nicely decorated. It really is the perfect place to stay in LBK. The owners are very friendly, helpful and we feel we have made new friends! I would definitely recommend this condo and would stay here again--already talked to the owners about this!!!

Our time in this unit was absolutely great. From the sunrise to the wonderful sunset. The beach and water was just right. The property was well maintained. The unit itself was very well furnished for a beachfront property. The location was near enough to restaurants of all price ranges. Many other attractions as well, especially towards Fort Meyers. Great golf courses nearby. I would recommend the property to all.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

We have stayed at this property for the last 3 years and have found it to be more than luxurious and perfect for our family of four. The view is unsurpassed as is the interior. Beautifully decorated with very high end furnishings and custom treatments throughout. The kitchen is nicer than mine at home with all custom finishes and a gorgeous view of the gulf while you cook. Condo overall is very well maintained... looks brand new and very fresh and clean. Pool area has been redone with a new custom built hot tub, and improvements to tennis courts and wall surrounding pool area are soon to be complete. I couldn't think of a negative if I tried. Can't wait until next year to return!

Perfect Beach Vacation

My husband and I have stayed at this unit 3 times over the last 3 years and absolutely love it. The location is fantastic, wonderful walking, biking area and can walk to some restaurants. The unit is maintained extremely well, and beautifully decorated. We have stayed at many vrbo properties and this one was absolutely one of the best maintained and well appointed. Anything you could need in the kitchen is there as well as many other extras (beach umbrella, chairs, towels, etc.). The owner was very helpful with any information we needed and questions we had, and there have never been any extra unexpected charges at the end. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone going to the LBK area.

December 2010 stay

We enjoyed our stay on Longboat Key. The location is ideal for a quiet vacation, but a car is a must. The condo is in an old building but has been renovated and is typical 'Tommy Bahama' style, which includes several fake trees and plants. Although the bedrooms and bathrooms are very small, the LR/DR and kitchen are spacious. Normal wear and tear reveals badly stained LR broadloom, and window coverings that are broken.The patio view is lovely, but the only seating is bar-height chairs and a table. The King bed has lost it's firmness. The owner appears very charming and friendly, but get everything in writing. His recollection of telephone discussions are not accurate. Inspect and report all problems as soon as you arrive. Three weeks after our departure, we discovered that the owner had withheld a substantial portion of our security deposit, without notifying us beforehand, and without our knowledge, claiming we had not paid him for a portion of the rent.

Owner response:Unfortunately, I did not realize that Babs is the type of person she is or I would have not rented to her. A few days before Babs and her husband were to arrive, she called me and said her husband was going to have to work and not come down till later. She asked if she could extend for several additional days. I told her I could not as someone was to come in the day she left. I felt sorry for her so I contacted the other party to see if they could come later. They agreed to come one day later. I called Babs back and told her I could extend her one more day. When Babs arrived, her husband was with her and they did stay the extra day. She called me the day after she arrived and told me she found some crumbs on the kitchen counter. Part of the agreement she signed was to leave a check for the cleaning lady to clean after they left. I have used the same cleaning lady for 3 years and she has always done a good job. The next day Babs called and said there was a leak from the kitchen faucet. I paid a maintenance man to repair the leak the next day. He reported that there was no leak. When I returned her deposit, I held out for the one extra day at exactly the same rate and for the cleaning fee, as she did not leave a check for this. She emailed me and complained, and now she has her revenge. The mattresses are very high quality and almost new. The patio furniture is the height it is so that you have an unobstructed view rather than looking through the bars of the railing. The buildings were built in 1980 and are the same age as the others up and down the key. The master bedroom is 16'x13' and has a walk-in closet and bathroom. The guest bedroom is 13'x12' and has a large closet and bathroom with a deep Jacuzzi tub and shower. The designer window coverings are not broken. I have never had a complaint before and have several people who have leased two and three times.
