I have rented from Vaughn Rentals for three years ,Donna is pleasant to speak with and very helpful. she goes over beyond being a owner ,she personally came over and left us a bottle of wine and etc' we couldn't ask for a better person to rent from.the mattress and bedding are to die for ,better than I use in my Home.The pictures didn't do justice, the condo was beautiful. my girls loved walking out the door onto the putt-putt course and pool.this will be my vacation spot for years to come .DONNA YOU ARE THE BEST!!! Finally found someone that keeps there places up!! Had the best stay in Florida at Vaughn Rentals that anyone could have. Rented two Prefect unites with top of the line everything, great beds, pillows, TVs in all areas, even down to the floors that had been redone with up to date tile. Places were real clean when we got there and furnishings you never get anywhere else that I've been. This is one place I will be booking for my next year stay. Thanks Donna and Frank and Vaughn Rentals for making my stay one of the best vacations me and my family and friends had in years. It's so nice to we finally found someone that cares about making someone vacation about as perfect as one can have. Oh and thanks for getting my deposit back to me and my friends so fast, another first for me and them.

No power, no air, no ice, no refund

DO NOT USE THESE FOLKS!! I stayed 2 years ago and everything was wonderful. Not so this past summer. I had major problems and I was given no refund, or even a new week, or even a partial refund . . . . but here goes. The unit that we ordered so my disabled parents could manage was not given to us. A smaller unit with no upstairs power was given . . . and no air conditioning (both fixed the next day and at a reasonable time). We were promised the air would be fixed in the original unit the next day. My husband asked for free golf cart for our trouble, costing them really nothing. They allowed it, but then we never, for the whole week, were given air in the promised unit. We were told it would be fixed Tuesday so we packed and went to the unit, after having to sleep in the van the night before because it was so hot. My dad, who was on oxygen had to sleep inside in the heat for power. When we got to the promised unit, it was not fixed. We went back to the other smaller unit and were told the air would be fixed Wed. We went back, still not fixed. This went on until Friday, but by then, since we were going home on Saturday, it was too late. We had the hardest time reaching anyone, but finally Donna answered and said we could have a free week, but she would get back with us on the week f orthe next year. After 6 months I finally got them to answer my call by calling from an alternat #, Frank said he would only give a discoun on future rentals. The unit was smaller, the washer and dryer outdated, the ice maker broken, and of course all the air conditioning and power problems. I was told we tore up the power playing video games. We don't play video games and certainly did not. I was told I should have read the fine print and paid 17 dollars for insurance . . . and that basically I was out of luck. Oh, and the kicker, I was told I got two units and they had to pay 2 cleaning fees. Reality: I got two broken air conditioners, I had to move 3 times, and I cleaned two units myself. It was night and day from the year before, utterly ridicrulous and I will never use Vaughn trentals again. I waited until now to write a review, giving them every opportunity to make it right. Oh, and Frank said that he didn't need our business,and that he has hundreds of units that he rents. What a lovely customer service. I continued to try reasonable discourse, but it became more and more obvious, I was not dealing with a reasonable renters.

Owner response:People that want everything for free! After a week in Florida they wanted a full refund. Air Condition in both properties are less than a year old, funny how two new AC's stopped working at the same time. The heating and Air Company came out and called us to say the problem was coming from the renters plugging in a game console, causing the power to kick off. He re-set the switch and had power and air the next day by 11:00 A.M. The original property's AC needed a part and couldn't be repaired until the third day. We did everything possible to please these renters, they said the Air Condition wasn't working and asked if they could go to another property a few doors down. We agreed to let them stay in the other property until the AC was repaired. Her husband called to say that everything was good and asked if they could have a golf cart for the week for their inconvenience, we had no problem letting them have the golf cart and the week went on without any other problems. Two weeks after their vacation she called wanting a full refund. I told her I would be willing to work with her but she wanted nothing but a full refund. We offered her another week this summer and her response was I will talk to my husband, only to proceed with a bad review. Most of her allegations aren't true, we don't have hundreds of properties and I never mentioned anything to her about insurance. We have our own cleaning crew on schedule to clean our properties. I have been renting vacation properties for eight years and this was the first person to ever write a bad review. This review was written on a property she didn't even stay in, 207 Kimberly Dr was the correct address.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Vaughn rentals. The condo was so nice and very spacious. The kids and my family really enjoyed staying there. The pool at the condo and the pool accomodations across the road at the beach were nice and clean and the kids had a blast. They were not over crowded which even made it nicer. We would definitely recommend this condo rental to all our friends and family. We plan on staying again real soon. thanks Donna for everything.

My husband and daughter have been vacationing in Panama City for the past five years this condo is by far the best place that we have ever stayed! The price and location was well worth it. Tastefully decorated and upkept very well. We had a great experience. We would very highly recommend this property for vacation!

My family stayed at the condo the week of Spring Break. We had a great time. The condo was clean very well decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. The location in the complex was ideal. It was close to the front entrance we had a pool directly behind us and a putt putt course. We would not hesitate to stay again. Marilyn Thompson

My wife & I enjoyed one of our best Florida vacations this past Winter in this unit. Very clean - well maintained. Furnishings are in very good condition and the decor is bright and colourful. The unit is given the best of care by the owners. A couple of minor problems we experienced during our two month stay received immediate attention from the owners. Would highly recommend this unit to anyone wanting a relaxing, problem free vacation in Gulf Highlands!
