The Jackson House in the heart of Grand Marais with a Lake Superior view.
Location: Grand Marais, Minnesota, USA (2 Hrs from Duluth Along Lake Superior on Scenic Highway 61)
Accommodations: House, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1 Bath (Sleeps 3-4)
The Jackson House is a wonderfully warm and cozy 2-bedroom/1-bath log-sided home with beautifully shaded yard and deck. Just 1 block from Lake Superior, this home has a sweet view of the Grand Marais Harbor just far enough away from the small town hustle and bustle.
Enjoy the Lake Superior view from the large deck, curl up with a book on the cozy day bed in the living room, or explore the town on foot. The Jackson House is located within just a few blocks of several choice Grand Marais restaurants, shops, museums, galleries, North House Folk School, the Grand Marais Art Colony, the Grand Marais Playhouse and Public Library.
Experience Fall on the North Shore--unmatched fall color on the hillside, cool nights, hiking around town or on nearby trails, peace and serenity as summer turns to autumn. Breathe clean fresh air, soak in the blue color of the Lake, or cozy up in the Jackson House at the end of a great day in the woods or on the edge of the Big Lake.
Brave the urban wildlife of Grand Marais or use the Jackson House as a base camp for adventuring into the BWCAW or onto Lake Superior. Maximum occupancy is (3-4) with a queen bed in the larger bedroom, single bed in the smaller bedroom, and day bed in the living area.
Homeowners John Gorski and Sue Hakes welcome you to the Jackson House and Grand Marais. (Sue Hakes is a MN Real Estate Broker and current Mayor of Grand Marais.)

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
John and Sue enjoy living and working on the Grand Marais Harbor. Sue is the broker/owner of Sue Hakes Realty and current Mayor of Grand Marais. John is an artist and carpenter.
Why the Owner Chose Grand Marais
The Jackson House was home to Sue Hakes Realty from 2003 thru 2008. During that time, we had so many positive comments about the charm of the Jackson House it felt natural to transform the Jackson House into a vacation rental property when we moved the real estate office.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Because we live just 1 block from the Jackson House we never have the pleasure of staying there. However, we thoroughly enjoy spending time with friends and families when they are guests at the Jackson House. Drinking morning coffee on the deck is a wonderful way to start any day.

Welcome! My husband, John Gorski, and I are excited to offer the Jackson House to Grand Marais visitors, friends and family. It's a great place from which to enjoy all that our area has to offer. We are working now to prepare and ready the property so that our guests are comfortable and have everything they need. We hope to have our guest home ready to go by mid-June of 2008. It is our hope that each and every person who stays with us has a wonderful experience and comes back often! We hope to see you soon!
