It has one bedroom, one full bath, a fully equipped kitchen, a sparkling plunge pool and a 180' view of the Caribbean Sea that includes the Pitons, St. Vincent, and Anse Chastanet Bay.

The small town of Soufriere is only a twenty minute walk from the TREEHOUSE. Many natural places of interest including the Diamond Mineral Falls, Botanical Gardens, Sulphur Springs, the Drive-In Volcano and a few working plantations can all be found in and around Soufriere. In addition, there are grocery stores, bakeries, banks (ATM), a fish market, and numerous restaurants are located here.
Car rentals can be arranged or taxi services are available for drives/tours around the island. A few places to visit include Marigot Bay, Canopy Zip Lines, Rodney Bay/Pigeon Point, Castries and the RainForest.

This was an amazing place to vacation from the view on the treehouse balcony looking at the twin Pitons to the valley just below it. There are hiking trails behind the treehouse as well as a great short hike to the Anse Chastanet Hotel and the beautiful blue water and sandy beach for some sun or just relax and listen to the waves of the ocean right beside the hotel. The water was so amazingly blue and calming. The food at the Anse Chastanet Hotel was wonderful and the service was great. The locals were all very kind and helpful everywere we went. The sightseeing trips were wonderful and informative from the Forest Tours to the trip to the Volcano. The mineral bath will make you feel ten years younger and make you not want to leave. Everywere you go you can stop and pick fresh fruits as well as a grocery store at the heart of the nearby town. The treehouse is just like a home away from home with all the necessary anamities right at your finger tips. The owner checked on us daily to make sure we were comforable and that we were enjoying our stay. You go to sleep with the sound of the crickets and wake up listening to the birds singing. I highly recommend this place for a first time vacation and for sure repeat visits.

The Treehouse II location has absolutely breath-taking views of the Pitons. The first time we saw the Pitons from the deck we were awestruck....not only do you get great views from the deck, but also from the pool and from the higher level bedroom. The unit was well-equipped with most every item you would expect to have at home, was clean and well maintained. It is a cottage-like unit so it is a pretty basic interior. We never used the air conditioning in the bedroom while we were there as we preferred to have the deck doors open and the fan going instead and it was fine for sleeping. It did get really warm during the afternoon as the sun beats in to the living area however it was tolerable with a fan running. The pool and area is small but is good to take a dip in and relax and read a book. The landscaping and foliage in and around the property is stunning....well planned and well taken care of. The area is pretty private yet you are only a 5 minute drive into Soufriere or to great beaches. The staff (especially Charmaine) were great and it was nice to have Sam there too - had a great time with you folks! Would definitely recommend the Treehouse II for any couple as we will have wonderful memories of our time in St. Lucia because of this place!!

Sitting on the balcony of the treehouse that overlooks the pitons, sipping local rum, and listening to all the birds perched in the tree that shades the deck while writing this review... The owners were fantasic with communication. Everything is promptly handled, and Sam responded right away to the baker's dozen worth of emails I sent him. Thanks, Sam. Charmaine, Alvin, and John keep the house and grounds immaculate. Charmaine even has a meal waiting for you the first night. This is a perfect paradise stay for couples that don't like the crowds of tourists that you will find at a resort. Grocery stores are a close drive away. They are walkable, however, a car is recommended. Will need driving directions before you drive anywhere as locals give vague details. As veteran VRBOers, my girlfriend and I highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed at Treehouse II for two weeks in January 2014. The treehouse is a wonderful place to stay, with beautiful lush garden surroundings and a great view of the pitons. Although the road leading to the treehouse is bumpy and twisting, it's worth the ride (we rented a car for the two weeks...be sure to get an automatic, 4-wheel drive. The island's roads are hairpin cliff turns, but the views are amazing. Ask Charmaine for Gina's car rental info. She was great). We spent a lot of time at Anse Chastenet. The snorkeling to the left side was very good. And the little beach to the right, Anse Mamin, is beautiful (accessible by foot path - 5 to 10 minute walk). Sam arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport (I"m sorry, I forgot his name!) and he had cold beers waiting for us. :-) Charmaine is the housekeeper and she was wonderful. She cleaned daily and often brought fresh fruits. Very helpful, very cheerful. The groundskeepers do a thorough job keeping the gardens and plunge pool nice and clean. Internet connection was very strong - we never had a problem. Our favorite place to visit besides Anse Chastenet was Sugar Beach. Not hard to get to, but again, twisting, winding roads. Be sure to eat lunch at Martha's Table (on the way to Sugar Beach) and have dinner at Orlando's (bottom of the hill toward town from the treehouse). We really enjoyed meeting Orlando and the food and service there are excellent. Also a must: dinner at Dasheens at the Ladera Resort. Make reservations for 7pm but get there before 6pm cocktail hour for an amazing sunset between the pitons. We also splurged on a dinner at Jade Mountain (at Anse Chastenet). Well worth the experience! Our dinner was unparalleled. The only reason we give this rating 4 stars instead of 5 is because we didn't find the locals particularly welcoming and the poverty is apparent. But then again, that's exactly why we like to travel to new places...to experience the "real deal" rather than staying in a secluded luxury resort. The treehouse and all its amenities and staff definitely rate 5 stars. Sam was always prompt with email replies and a pleasure to deal with. We would certainly recommend the treehouse to friends and family. Treehouse I is smaller and doesn't have the view of treehouse II, but it's in a lovely tropical setting and again, the gardens are stunning. You will definitely enjoy your stay on St. Lucia at either of these properties!

I can't say enough about my stay at the Treehouse. From the first time I spoke to Sam, the owner, I knew I had made the right choice. I was looking for a place to just relax and I found it at The Treehouse. The staff was fantastic! They took such good care of me, in fact, they spoiled me rotten. It was hard to leave..There is plenty to do and Sam and the staff took care of everything, made recommendations, and handled all my bookings and requests. I had everything I needed for my two week stay. People should be aware that there are four cats that come with the house. They sleep most of the day and, as a cat lover, I thoroughly enjoyed their company. Bottom line, I would recommend The Treehouse for any length stay on St Lucia. Thank you everyone. I can't wait to see you all again, even the cats.

I searched everywhere for the perfect surprise destination for our 25th wedding anniversary and I must say I found it! After a long trip we were met by a wonderful taxi driver, Lionel, who happily stopped at the local grocery store so we could purchase provisions for our stay. Upon our arrival we were so grateful to be met by Sam, the owner, and Charmaine, the very welcoming property manager. As we were quite tired we were glad to relax on the porch and take in the unsurpassed view while we were provided with a delightful local meal which really hit the spot. We slept soundly to the sounds of the chirping tree frogs. The next morning we awoke only to furthur take in the beauty of the property. Sam has a love of gardening and the tropical surroundings were absolutely incredible ! We met more of the staff, Alvin and Johnny who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and were very happy to assist us with any questions and helped us make sightseeing plans to the Volcano, Botanical Garden and Mineral Bath. They also arranged a delightful taxi driver, Clavie, who gave us a very informative Island tour and brought us for a tasty local lunch. The accomodations were very clean and provided everything we needed during our stay. We enjoyed the plunge pool which was so appreciated after a walk up the hill from the beautiful beach at Anse Chastanat. The resort at the bottom of the hill had a fun beach bar, boat tours and great snorkling with equipment provided by the Treehouse. The following day Alvin was very happy to accompany us for a hike behind the property for an incredible view of the Soufriere and the Pitons and was so willing to help in any way, even to stop and pick fresh limes for us. This was the vacation of our lives and I would recommend this property to anyone wishing for a wonderful and relaxed tropical vist to a beautiful Island with very friendly and welcoming people. We also will greatly miss the resident cats Snowy, Sammy, Cocoa and Bud who also made us feel so at home. I hate to write this as I don't want to share our secret destination ! We definitely plan on returning. Joanne and Mark LaPlante

My husband and I stayed at the Treehouse II for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely PERFECT! Hands down the most beautiful, relaxing, and fun vacation we have ever been on, thanks in large part to the Treehouse. St. Lucia is an amazing island, and the Treehouse's are the best choice for seeing the island due to it's proximity to all the best activities, and all of the money you save by not going to a resort. Plus, Charmaine the house manager is so helpful with questions, planning activities, and housecleaning, also her cooking is phenomenal. Fortunately, we also got to meet Sam, the owner, as he was staying in Treehouse I. He was very friendly, helpful, and laid back. We were both really glad to have met him, and we hope to be able to come back! The views and the accommodations at Treehouse II are exactly like the pictures posted on VRBO. The view from the balcony, the pool, and the bedroom all look like they should be postcards. The private pool was a really great way to cool off after the walk from the beach. As other reviews have mentioned the walk from Anse Chastanet is steep but definitely manageable, and we were able to occasionally catch rides (when I was feeling lazy) in the vans coming to and from the resort. That being said, the beach has amazing snorkeling in the marine reserve, and on the north side of the beach. We were able to see squid, schools of colorful fish, a turtle, and an octopus. We also did quite a bit of sightseeing, we ziplined at Morne Coubaril, hiked the Gros Piton, went on a waterfall tour with Benton, hung out at Sugar Beach for a day, toured the volcano, did mud baths, and ate locally in Soufriere numerous times. We would definitely recommend taking a day trip to Sugar Beach, the snorkeling is even better there, and hiking the Piton if you're in shape. Also, take advantage of the phone in the villa for setting up excursions and taxi's, and for things like Whale Watching set them up early in the week. Finally, be sure and take advantage of grocery shopping, because eating out can get very expensive. We had an amazing experience, and we just couldn't believe how lucky we were to get such a great rental for the price! It seriously can't be beat.

We had a wonderful, romantic stay at the Treehouses for our honeymoon. We spent 5 nights in Treehouse II (all that was available, book early!) and moved to Treehouse I for an additional 3 nights. Both had everything we could need and were in a great location for exploring the island. The staff was helpful and friendly, and we found the plunge pool, surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens, to be the perfect way to start or end our outings. Being so close to everything meant we were able to book tours with local taxis in the morning hours, avoiding the cruise ship crowds to enjoy the Sulphur Springs and Tet Paul all to ourselves! For another spectacular view of Soufriere and the Pitons we hiked up the road behind the Treehouses – where, to our amazement a magical full rainbow spread over the valley as we reached the top. We also frequented Anse Chastanet for amazing snorkeling, which was only a 10 min walk, and found secluded Anse Mamin just around the corner. As many reviews of the area state, the road here is in poor condition, and frequent trips to town can get expensive by cab or tiring if walking – so we found it best to stock up at the local grocery, bakeries and butchers – and instead of restaurants, we spent our evenings enjoying romantic candlelit dinners on our deck overlooking the Pitons. While we really enjoyed our stay in both Treehouses, the superior view, increased privacy from the bottom road and somewhat larger/newer accommodations at Treehouse II were well worth the cost difference. However, it wasn't until we went to the north end of the island for the last few days of our trip that we realized just how spoiled we were at the Treehouses!

My husband and I visited the Treehouse I in February and could not have been more pleased. The view was truly magnificent and the small pool was a godsend. The gardens around both Treehouses are very lush and tropical. Our bedroom was comfortable and the fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare several meals. Charmaine was super and a great cook. We walked down to the beach at Anse Chastanet every day and snorkeled at Anse Mamin beach a few times. Our visit to the north end of the island made us grateful that we chose the Treehouse I. We will definitely visit again in the future. The Stotts

We stayed 2 weeks in TreeHouse 1 (there's an adjoining property called Tree House 2) and wished we'd gone elsewhere for the 2nd week. The deck practically hangs over the road leading to Anse Chastenet Resort and as a result there is a great deal of noise, day and night, of delivery trucks, staff shuttles, rental cars, pick-up trucks, etc. Add to this the road that runs behind the Tree House where construction vehicles, including rolling concrete mixer, were going to a new villa. Then there was the crew building a rock wall behind Tree House 2. Trucks came to deliver rocks and sand and the crew spent the day breaking rocks and constructing the wall. The view is great, if you discount the power lines, and the birds, geckos, frogs and manicou were entertaining. The kitchen is well equipped and the wifi worked well. We used the mosquito net to keep the bugs from biting while we slept but they found me during the day and I was glad I had some anti-itch lotion along. We didn't use the pool as we much prefer salt water to chlorine. Charmaine was our contact although we seldom saw her. She was unfamiliar with the contract arrangements we had for the airport taxi which made the situation uncomfortable for us. We may return to St Lucia someday, but it will not be to the TreeHouse.

Owner response: It was very unfortunate that there were several construction projects going on during their stay and the road was unusually busy. Fortunately, the wall project is now completed and the new villa will be finished soon. I am very sorry the stay at the Treehouse I did not meet the guest expectations and all efforts will be made to correct these issues.
