Leave all your worries at home and come enjoy this wonderful tropical cottage. The TREEHOUSE is nestled on a hillside near Anse Chastanet Beach and around the hill from the old French capital of Soufriere. The TREEHOUSE is a stone and wood cottage on an acre of tropical lushness. It is the perfect place for a honeymoon, relaxing holiday or an extreme adventure vacation. It has one bedroom, one full bath, a fully equipped kitchen, a sparkling plunge pool and a 180' view of the Caribbean Sea that includes the Pitons, St. Vincent, and Anse Chastanet Bay.
Besides providing for all of your needs within the TREEHOUSE, the surrounding area provides unlimited opportunities to truly experience the real St. Lucia. Among the activities are hiking, fishing, diving (the island's best dive center is at Anse Chastanet Beach and is only a ten minute walk from the TREEHOUSE), snorkeling, mountain biking, kayaking, sailing, mountain climbing, the rainforest, sunbathing, botanical gardens, waterfalls, and bird watching (this can be done from the deck of the TREEHOUSE). There is no reason not to have the ULTIMATE TROPICAL EXPERIENCE at the TREEHOUSE.
The town of Soufriere is a twenty minute walk from the TREEHOUSE. Many natural places of interest including the Diamond Mineral Falls, Botanical Gardens, Sulphur Springs, the Drive-In Volcano and a few working plantations can all be found in town. In addition, a grocery store, bakery, bank (ATM), fish market, internet cafe and numerous restaurants are available as well.
Car rentals can be arranged or taxi services are available for drives/tours around the island. A few places to visit include Marigot Bay, Canopy Zip Lines, Rodney Bay/Pigeon Point, Castries and the RainForest.

This was an amazing place to vacation from the view on the treehouse balcony looking at the twin Pitons to the valley just below it. There are hiking trails behind the treehouse as well as a great short hike to the Anse Chastanet Hotel and the beautiful blue water and sandy beach for some sun or just relax and listen to the waves of the ocean right beside the hotel. The water was so amazingly blue and calming. The food at the Anse Chastanet Hotel was wonderful and the service was great. The locals were all very kind and helpful everywere we went. The sightseeing trips were wonderful and informative from the Forest Tours to the trip to the Volcano. The mineral bath will make you feel ten years younger and make you not want to leave. Everywere you go you can stop and pick fresh fruits as well as a grocery store at the heart of the nearby town. The treehouse is just like a home away from home with all the necessary anamities right at your finger tips. The owner checked on us daily to make sure we were comforable and that we were enjoying our stay. You go to sleep with the sound of the crickets and wake up listening to the birds singing. I highly recommend this place for a first time vacation and for sure repeat visits.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I visited the Treehouse I in February and could not have been more pleased. The view was truly magnificent and the small pool was a godsend. The gardens around both Treehouses are very lush and tropical. Our bedroom was comfortable and the fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare several meals. Charmaine was super and a great cook. We walked down to the beach at Anse Chastanet every day and snorkeled at Anse Mamin beach a few times. Our visit to the north end of the island made us grateful that we chose the Treehouse I. We will definitely visit again in the future. The StottsRecommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We stayed 2 weeks in TreeHouse 1 (there's an adjoining property called Tree House 2) and wished we'd gone elsewhere for the 2nd week. The deck practically hangs over the road leading to Anse Chastenet Resort and as a result there is a great deal of noise, day and night, of delivery trucks, staff shuttles, rental cars, pick-up trucks, etc. Add to this the road that runs behind the Tree House where construction vehicles, including rolling concrete mixer, were going to a new villa. Then there was the crew building a rock wall behind Tree House 2. Trucks came to deliver rocks and sand and the crew spent the day breaking rocks and constructing the wall. The view is great, if you discount the power lines, and the birds, geckos, frogs and manicou were entertaining. The kitchen is well equipped and the wifi worked well. We used the mosquito net to keep the bugs from biting while we slept but they found me during the day and I was glad I had some anti-itch lotion along. We didn't use the pool as we much prefer salt water to chlorine. Charmaine was our contact although we seldom saw her. She was unfamiliar with the contract arrangements we had for the airport taxi which made the situation uncomfortable for us. We may return to St Lucia someday, but it will not be to the TreeHouse.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+.
Owner response: It was very unfortunate that there were several construction projects going on during their stay and the road was unusually busy. Fortunately, the wall project is now completed and the new villa will be finished soon. I am very sorry the stay at the Treehouse I did not meet the guest expectations and all efforts will be made to correct these issues.

The treehouse was perfect - awesome views, close walk to beach and Soufriere, and fantastic staff. We didn't know what to expect, but the owner was very helpful and everything exceeded our expectations! Housekeeper calls you every morning to see what to bring you from the store or if you need a meal cooked or laundry done. We really, really enjoyed our stay, and would not have done anything differently. Treehouse will be a destination again for us! Highly recommend!Did you find this review helpful? We had the pleasure of staying in the Treehouse 11 for a week. The view is amazing, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The area is beautiful and friendly. Charmaine had a complimentary meal and fresh made juice waiting for us upon arrival, she is an excellent cook and will provide you with meals at a nominal price if you want, better than a restaurant for us! We felt safe, welcome and at home and enjoyed the privacy of the plunge pool and loved the open air concept of the villa, the balcony doors were never closed day or night, we spent hours relaxing and reading on the deck enjoying the birds, the cats, the view and the sounds of the evening. There is lots to do in the area, the recommended taxi drivers are knowledgable and capable. The villa is well stocked with everything you need from bug spray to candles. The view of the pitons and the sunsets are as close to the nicest setting you could possibly have. There is minimal disturbance to the environmental setting, the grounds restored to their natural beauty and well maintained. You actually think you are in a treehouse. We loved our time here and defiantly plan on returning to stay here again. Much more to see and do in the area. The owner was there staying in Treehouse 1 doing some renovations while we were there, he was very helpful and informative of all there is to offer in the area as is his staff.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Wonderful Honeymoon Villa

We spent 10 days at the treehouse 2 for our honeymoon. This is a private villa tucked in the mountains with a wonderful view of the sea and the iconic “Pitons” (mountains) of Saint Lucia. There's a plunge pool which was a perfect way to cool off either at the end of the day (definitely needed after a walk up the steep hill!) or, as we found, a place to relax and read during the day too. When planning our honeymoon we researched various options, balancing off the cost of an all-inclusive or beach hotel vs. something more unique, private and closer to real local life. The following is a biased synopsis but our view of our choice: Pros: Good value for money Enjoyed cooking for ourselves Totally secluded – felt like we had our own little part of paradise Beach (Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin) a 10 minute walk away Interacting with local St Lucians – for example, Terry visited us on our first day and offered to get some freshly caught seafood for us and provided a selection of fruits for us each day Birds and cats to feed – a daily morning activity that we quite enjoyed Really friendly owner who was really efficient and prompt in responding to any requests Staff at the house (gardener, housekeeper, etc.) were awesome and always happy to help Cons Felt a little too isolated at times The beach is 10 minutes walk away downhill, but at least 15 minutes up. Soufriere, the local town, is more like 20 minutes walk and, although cabs can be arranged easily, we thought 20 USD for a roundtrip was a bit excessive. Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin beaches are down the road and are great, however, it is owned by two resorts there (Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain). You're not supposed to sit on their chairs and whenever we ordered food or drinks, the fact that we didn't have a room number felt like we were automatically lower-class citizens to them. There is air con available at the bedroom but it's only able to be activated between 6pm and Midnight – this is pretty essential for sleeping well in the humid nights but if you're out all day and aren't around to switch it on, you can have a less comfortable night's sleep. Air con from 8pm – 2 am would have made our sleeps more comfortable. All in all, though, we loved our stay and we felt we could enjoy what Saint Lucia has to offer; have a private, romantic break; mix it with the high-end holidaymakers when we wanted and have home-cooked meals at others to stay within a sensible budget.Did you find this review helpful? My wife and I found the Treehouse on vrbo.com for our honeymoon. This was our first experience with the website, and it paid off. The Treehouse is isolated, tranquil and beautiful. My wife and I were both able to completely unplug from our busy worlds (though the WiFi was great when she wanted to check uploaded wedding pics and I wanted to keep track of the NBA playoffs). The design of the Treehouse provides for a spacious, open deck that looks out above the water and at the Pitons. We spent every meal and Scrabble game on it. And though we had some adventurous excursions (massages and dinner at the Ladera Resort, water taxi to the capital Castries with lunch in Marigot Bay, the rainforest hike etc.), nothing beat our private beach down at Anse Chastenet. First of all, it was the "low" season for tourists, but all that meant is that there were fewer people - the weather was great for the entire trip (even the occasional rain). As for the beach, if you walk across the primary resort beach area and then take the gravel road hugging the shoreline for a couple minutes, it opens up onto another beach, which is also connected to the resort. We had that beach virtually to ourselves the entire time we visited, and with the beach chairs, beach towels and snorkel equipment already provided by the Treehouse, we were set. Of course, we stopped for a sunset drink every day at the Anse Chastenet beach bar, and the Treehouse pool was the perfect ending to any day after the hike back up from the beach. My only critical advice would be to plan your excursions with some care. Due to the state of some of the roads in and around Soufriere, the taxi rides can get pretty expensive, so it's worth getting the most out of any trip. We highly recommend both the Treehouse I and the Treehouse II (we got to stay there our last 2 nights) - it beats any all-inclusive resort. Thanks Sam! P.S. The Treehouses also come with their own adopted cats, and they were our constant companions for the trip. Nice touch.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I spent 3 weeks at the Treehouse in January of 2012. We both agreed that this was the best tropical vacation we have been on since we starting traveling together over 30 years ago. The accomodations were convenient and comfortable but what made the vacation so special were the people who worked there. Cynthia (the manager), Charmaine (the housekeeper), John (the gardener) and Alvin (the pool guy) were all there for us and checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything. We were fortunate to meet the owner and his wife as they were staying at the Treehouse II. They provided lots of useful information and tips on how to best take advantage of this great location in Soufriere. It was a short 15 minute walk down to the beautiful Anse Chastenet beach where we enjoyed lots of snorkeling and swimming. We did not rent a car but that did not prevent us from seeing the whole island with Desmond our taxi driver who works for Benton's Taxi Service. We got a real taste of St. Lucian culture through his eyes as we visited the Pitons, the rainforest, the Diamond Botanical Gardens, the Sulphur Springs, the Tet Paul Nature Nature Trail (don't miss it) as well as the towns of Soufriere, Marigot Bay, Rodney Bay, Castries and Vieux Fort. Once again, we loved the accomodations. It really was like you were living in a Treehouse yet you had all the comforts of home. We did lots of cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and really appreciated the WIFI so we could keep in touch with family and friends. We always felt safe and well taken care of. You won't regret a vacation getaway to this beautiful tropical treehouse. We both highly recommend it.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the treehouse and I have to say it exceeded all of our expectations. Beginning with the taxi ride from the airport, our stay in St Lucia was adventurous and exciting. There were so many things to do that we did not spend alot of time at the treehouse but felt very comfortable while there and the views were incredible. Our first night we were treated to a delicious local meal that really set the tone for our honeymoon. The beach is just down the hill and was a great place to sun and snorkel. We did watch the sunset several afternoons from the beach bar. The small pool was a welcome experience after walking back from the beach. The area around the treehouse is like a botanical garden and attracted alot of hummingbirds. We never really needed anything as the staff (Charmaine and Cynthia) took great care of us. We thought the treehouse and St Lucia was a great experience and the perfect place for our honeymoon. I hope we can someday return for our anniversary. We loved staying at the Treehouse. Beautiful beach with awesome snorkeling just a 12 minute walk down the road. The walk back is all uphill but once we got to the Treehouse we took a dip in the private plunge pool and then we were ready to relax on the deck with a cold Piton. The view is spectacular!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners.
