We had a great time on Big Island and loved the condo. It was spacious, clean, bright and very comfortable. We loved the lanai and how the lanai doors completely disappeared into the wall. The resort is beautiful and very close to kings and queens markets. We walked to the farmers market one day and bought local fruits and handmade soaps. The location is perfect for trips to Kona, waipio valley, Saddle road. We managed to drive to Volcano and Hilo and back in one day.

What a wonderful time we had at Kolea! The resort and unit were both fabulous. A gorgeous property. Carole was a delight to work with both before and during our stay. Highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again (hopefully sooner rather than later!).

We just returned from a week at Kolea 16B. The unit is very well decorated and spacious. It could comfortably hold 4-6 people and is great for anyone from kids up to senior citizens. Loved the Viking outdoor grill on the lanai. Pool area was relaxing. A-Bay beach just a short walk away for great sunsets and snorkeling.

The Kolea properties have the best location of all the Waikoloa village rentals. Quality of the accommodation is first class and offers much more comfort and space than hotel rooms.

We loved our stay at Kolea. Very comfortable beds, bedding and towels. The pool was gorgeous and a nice and quiet place to relax. It is kept immaculate, as well as all the surrounding grounds. Great location if you like to walk - both to the Hilton on the path and past the Marriott to the beach in the morning to see turtles and for beautiful sunsets. 15 minutes to Hapuna and Mauna Kea beaches. Arrive at Mauna Kea before 9:30 to get parking. Thanks for providing beach chairs and umbrella. We used the lanai grill almost every night. The bay wasn't the best for swimming, a bit rocky, no waves. Nice view from pool to the bay. These units are huge and excellent for a long family stay. Our kids appreciated having their own Queen beds and the gigantic bathroom. Very good value for the the price. Stop at Costco upon arrival to get stocked up as grocery stores are pricey. Beautiful condo in a great location! We just returned from a 5 night stay at Kolea 16B. The condo is MUCH better than the photos show - it is very spacious, and beautifully appointed. Every amenity is there, and both bedrooms AND bathrooms are big and nicely done, and we loved relaxing on the lanai. We had a fantastic time! The pool area is also very nice and just a few minutes walk, as is A-bay. We saw turtles hanging out there every day. Carole was wonderful to work with. We would definitely recommend this condo!

Kolea is Fabulous for families. We had a great week staying at Kolea. The pool and beach are great, and this condo is really, really nice. The property management team is incredibly easy to work with. We rent vacation homes a lot and this is definitely in the top 2-3 of our experiences. Enjoy!

Awesome Location! Two couples stayed in this fabulous condo for 8 days in March, 2011. We loved the outdoor kitchen (on the lanai)! The only improvement we can think of is to have a dining table outside. The location to shopping, restaurants, the beach, and other resorts is perfect! We especially loved Buzz's Sand Trap, where there is a daily happy hour with pupus. Great Mai Tais We would definitely recommend this condo, and hope to return soon. Thank you Carole!

Excellent stay at Kolea 16B! Excellent unit and complex - one of the best we have stayed in all of Hawaii. Carole was very responsive and helpful in responding to our questions regarding the unit. Quick 2 minute walk to the pool, and closest unit to both the King and Queen's shops in the Kolea complex. Unit is very well equipped, and comes with top of the line appliances that provide for a real home away from home experience. We will definitely be returning!

We had the most amazing time at your condo in Kolea!! The pictures on the internet just do not do it justice. It is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed at. Every detail is thought of and covered. From kids toys to every possible kitchen item you can need... all so well thought of. I wish I could have stayed another week or even forever! The location of the condo is PERFECT... we walked every morning to Queen's Marketplace for Starbucks and just enjoyed watching the sun rise. The kid pool was perfect for my 2 year old... she could not get enough. I cannot say enough good things about this condo, it exceeded my expectations and I will highly recommend you and your company to anyone looking to go to Hawaii. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You made our vacation a perfect one! I'm ready to book again!

Great Place to Stay! This is an excellent condo! It's the best condo we have stayed in for our 5th trip to Hawaii. It was very comfortable, newer and had everything we needed. We liked having the BQ and enjoyed relaxing on the deck. The master bed was very comfortable (I'm picky about that), and I really liked the 2 large bathrooms. Our 2 teen daughters shared a bath and it would be perfect for 2 couples traveling together. The location can't be beat. This was our first time to the big island. We liked walking to the shops and dinner. Also, very close to golf and a wide range of restaurants. Had an amazing dinner at Browns Beach house nearby. Didn't use the pool, but the jacuzzi was very nice, what a view! We have already recommended it to our friends and would stay here again, only longer!

This was our second time renting this wonderful condo. The location is excellent and the condo is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. It is great to be within a 5 minute walk to A-Bay and a 3 minute walk to the wonderful pool and hot tub. The Big Island is a terrific place to visit with so many great things to do. This condo is perfectly situated to allow for the exploration of this great place.

Just Perfect! Kolea 16B was just prefect for our stay. The location can't be beat. It was such a treat to walk to the beach, shopping and dining. It was fun to hear the Marriott luau too. The condo was spotless and very luxurious. Carole couldn't be more helpful. She was quick to respond to our initial inquiry, a question we had during our stay and she refunded our deposit within hours of our departure. The best feature was the sliding patio wall that opened all the way - very special! All in all, the perfect place to stay in Waikoloa.

Kolea 16B was perfect condo and location. One of the few condo complexes with direct access to the beach. The unit we rented was in excellent condition and had everything we needed. Some units we found during search had very "funky" decor styles or no sense of style/taste; however Kolea 16B was attractive and shows good style. The second bedroom is like a mini suite with it's own large bathroom and minibar area. We were there 10 days in May 2010 and loved it.

I was very pleased with this condo unit. The location was easy to walk to the beach and walkable shopping. Starbucks was within walking distance which was a plus for me. The unit had super comfortable beds and was well stocked with kitchen supplies. It was very tastefully decorated. I am a little picky about where I stay and I was very happy with this condo and unit.

We loved the Kolea 16B condo, it was perfect for our stay. The unit was clean, lovely, great kitchen appliances, linens, tubs, showers, all super. We loved having our coffee on the lanai each morning. We walked to the beach, pool, shops daily, and to the Hilton some too. This Condo was amazing. The location was absolutely awesome, the condo was perfect, and Carole (our manager) was incredibly helpful and a joy to work with. We ended up doing 2 nights at the Hilton Waikoloa after the condo and missed the condo both nights. I highly recommend this condo and company to anybody traveling to the Big Island of Hawaii.

Great Stay at Kolea! Kolea is a one of a kind complex in style and location. 16B was very centrally located in terms of the pool, beach and shops. It was an easy 10 min walk to Queens and 5 to Kings and about 3 to the pool. The unit was beautifully decorated and outfitted with just about everything one needs including pantry basics, toiletries, towels, etc. The unit also had beach toys, chairs, mats, towels, etc. The home was spacious and flowed well. The corner location was ideal with all the windows and the a/c rarely had to be used. The outdoor BBQ made for perfect lazy evenings. The only drawback was the pool area that lacked a BBQ due to renter abuse. A Bay was great for snorkeling and lounging on chairs that are provided.

Aloha Carole, This holiday was our 6th year (in a row) on the Big Island (2nd in Waikoloa district) and Kolea 16B is by far the best and nicest stay. After a long trip (+20hr flight time, we’re from the Netherlands) we were overwhelmed by the beauty of this condo and were in love with it at once. Also the Welcome bag with coffee, chocolates and brochures was much appreciatedMy wife likes to lay on the beach (A-Bay is less then 5 min walking from the condo) and I'm a fanatic big game fisherman so we both enjoy/love the Big Island. The harbour is only a nice 20min drive from Kolea 16B. The condo is very well equipped and there is a grocery store in Queens shops (with fresh vegetables, fruit, meat etc.) and also very reasonable priced. The location of the condo is also very good situated, so it’s a good “operating base” for trips to the North-East-South.We can highly recommend this condo for a nice and beautiful stay on the Big Island and to enjoy nice sunsets on the beach every night.Carole, Mahalo again for everything and until next year.Arjen & Tineke WaldusNetherlands

We had a great experience. The detailed information we received from the property management rep was very helpful i.e. directions to condo were accurate and received timely responses to questions. The condo was very clean, well stocked with plenty of beach towels, kitchen utensils/appliances, laundry detergents, soaps, beach chairs, coolers, movies/games, even spices. Very very nicely furnished - very comfortable beds and the arrival welcome package with Big Island brochures, suntan lotion, etc. was very much appreciated. The location of the condo was ideal for quick access for walking to the King and Queen shops, view and A-Bay. The pool and hot tub area was very nice with plenty of towels and showers. The secure gated entry and covered parking a plus!

Hi Carole, Was texting you from the airplane on the runway, but never finished! We had the most incredible time -- thank you so very much for helping to make that possible! We loved Kolea 16B. It was comfortable and clean -- I have chronic allergies to dust, dust mites, etc. Not once did I feel bad -- the place was very well maintained! The kitchens, indoor and outdoor were very well equipped. Who likes to cook while on vacation? Well, if the kitchen is beautiful and well-equipped, I don't mind at all! I didn't even mind doing laundry! ;-) The 2 bedrooms were tastefully furnished, and the baths were luxurious! After day trips around the island, we looked forward to coming back to relax in a beautiful home. We loved hanging out at the pool and having the A-bay beach so close by -- the kids went snorkeling and saw sea turtles. Sunsets were gorgeous at the beach. A-bay beach had chairs, but we were able to make use of the cooler and beach chairs provided in the unit, to take with us to nearby Mauna Kea beach, a pristine beach. There really wasn't much that we were missing, to make our stay comfortable! Being situated in Waikoloa was an ideal distance from Kona, Kings Shopping Center, Hilton, Mauna Loa Beach, Waimea, etc. Having walking access to the beach from the unit was great. The only comment from our family is that the pool was not heated -- so the kids did not enjoy it as much as they'd like. The ocean was much warmer! We did go spend a day at the Hilton with a day pass to make use of their facilities. It turned out their multiple pools were not heated either. Overall, I would highly recommend renting this condo! Unit 16B is PARADISE!! The owner has taken great care in making sure that the unit is well decorated and equipped to reflect the island style that we all love. As soon as you walk in the condo invites you to kick off your shoes and relax! You will LOVE the island decor, I can't stress this enough. Unit 16B is on the 2nd floor and the coveted corner unit so you enjoy windows all around. Open them up! The clean ocean breezes will make you forget that there's air conditioning. The kitchen has everything you need, very clean utensils, just bring your own food. Don't forget the spacious lanai with the grill, you won't want to eat inside. Lots of extra pillows in the closet, air beds, even a playpen for the baby! You won't get this at the Hilton down the road that's for sure! Head for the pool at night, see the stars then run over to the lava hot tub.... you won't regret it. My little niece enjoyed the pool made just for kids especially. Nearby lots of shops and restaurants, Macaroni Grill was great. Overall, I give this place a high 2 thumbs up with a "will DEFINITELY be back" kind of review. MUCH MAHALO for a wonderful time!!

We had an amazing stay in unit 16B. Your condo is beautifully furnished making us feel right at home. Very clean & nicely decorated. Spacious bedrooms that can easily accomodate six people. We enjoyed using the Viking grill on the lanai, made it very easy to throw a few steaks on & have a glass of wine while you take in the amazing sunsets. Great location, just a short walk to the clubhouse pool or Anaeho`omalu Bay. Nice white sandy beach where you can soak up some rays or go for a nice stroll. Various boutiques & restaurants at the Kings' & Queens' Shops, all within walking distance. What a great place for a vacation, to be able to unwind, relax & enjoy spending time with your family. It was hard to leave but we will definitely be back soon!

We've made countless visits to Hawaii over the years and while we've stayed mostly at hotels, we have rented condos on two occasions. When we stayed at this condo, we had a whole new appreciation for condo vacationing in Hawaii. Especially THIS condo! The location of the Kolea complex itself in Waikoloa is nearly ideal. Every place we wanted to go in Waikoloa was within walking distance for us. We especially enjoyed the selection at the new grocery store and restaurants in the Queens Marketplace. For years we've enjoyed the shopping and free, live, local music & dancing in the evenings at the King's Shops. It too was a short walk from 16B. Probably the most enjoyable short walk for us was to the Kolea Ocean Club Pool and 'A-Bay', just a stone's throw from the pool. 'A-Bay' offers perhaps the nicest beach experience in the Waikoloa area with its calm, protected waters, sandy beach and abundant marine life. The condo itself offered many luxury options that were never available to us at resorts we've stayed at. First the condo was so spacious and lavishly funished that we really felt at home. We had the options of cooking indoors in the well equipped kitchen or outside on the large lanai using the Viking BBQ. I loved the fact that in the early morning I could enjoy my coffee on the lanai in my pajamas. Although other people were staying in neighboring condo units, we never heard a sound from any of them. This condo was very quiet. Although it was just the two of us, we both felt that it could comfortably accommodate 6 people. Our bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. When we have the opportunity to return to Hawaii we are planning on staying in this unit again! Mahalo Nui Loa for allowing us to stay in in your hale (home).

Our stay in Villa 16B at Kolea Villas could not have been more perfect for our family of four! We were greeted with a canvas beach bag full of lovely gifts (Kona coffee, sun tan lotion, and other things Hawaii) that let us know that we were truly welcome. The condo was immaculately clean and well equipped -- the Viking grill on the beautiful lanai was convenient and great to have for grilling local fish. The condo had more than enough room and was very comfortable. The 5 minute walk to the pool and A-bay beach was hard to beat. A-bay is a GREAT and beautiful beach for a family with young children. This was a great place to stay and we would highly recommend it to anyone. It is convenient to many of the attractions and beaches on the western side of the Big Island. It is also situated in the heart of the resort area and close to some great shopping. Did we mention that it is just a 5 minute walk to the beach?! The view of the mountains from the lanai is spectacular. This condo is beautifully appointed and decorated and is comparable to staying in a luxury hotel but with much more room!
