Belize me when I say Adagio Villa has made out stay Extra Special! Beautiful property and gracious staff! We had our Cheeseburgers in Paradise, rum punch and Belicans galore-shopped for custom jewelry from local vendors and every little store. Entertained by the iguanas and hermit crabs, soaked up the warm sun rays and listened to the ocean's glorious sound. SCUBA diving the pristine waters with God's creatures swimming below give one a sense of peace everyone should know. A little piece of heaven, we were fortunate to see, the beauty of Belize is a treasured memory!

Our family had a terrific time at Adagio Villa. The house was beautiful, comfortable and safe. Ernesto, Francisco and Yaimy were indispensable and absolutely gracious...it was very hard to part ways! We arrived, unpacked and made ourselves at home immediately and had some great adventures in Belize. We went to Mayan ruins, snorkeling at Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley, visited Caye Caulker and ate at tons of great little restaurants. But, we have the best memories of just chilling at the house and watching our 2 year-old son enjoy the pool and hunt for iguanas in the yard! Fantastic vacation!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

FROM OUR GUEST BOOK: Such a perfect family vacation! No better way to bring in 2011 than in Beautiful Belize. We all loved relaxing by the pool, fishing, snorkeling and just enjoying everyday in Paradise. It was amazing!

Oh, "positive" doesn't even begin to describe our experience! It was nothing short of amazing, wonderful, and just plain fun! The house staff were so helpful and kind, and we feel as if we've made three new friends in Ernesto, Francisco, and Yaimy (Hi, everyone; we miss you!); the house itself is fabulous: elegant, but still homey (or "homely," if you're reading this in the UK) enough to be completely comfortable; the surrounding area is an absolute paradise, replete with coconut palms, sand beaches, thatched palapas, and a completely relaxed local vibe; and San Pedro Town completes the picture with interesting buildings, fun shops, nice people, and wonderful little restaurants. If you prefer to do your own cooking, the kitchen at Adagio Villa is perfect for creating any meal, simple or complex, and you will find all the utensils, pots, pans, etc., that you could possibly need. Having access to bicycles, kayaks, and your own golf cart makes traveling around and seeing the sights a real pleasure. We used the provided snorkeling equipment for our dives and snorkeling trips, and it was top notch. The private pool and surrounding yard are lovely, and Francisco keeps it all in perfect shape. Ernesto is always ready to lend a hand with kayaks, bicycles, reservations for sightseeing or restaurants, or anything else you might need, day or night. Yaimy is an extraordinarily talented cook and a great housekeeper, and we became addicted to her homemade tortillas and pico de galla, which she prepared for us--from scratch--every morning. Dennis, our host, was amazingly attentive and accommodating, and helped us with all of our touring plans, from visiting Mayan ruins on the mainland, to diving the famous Blue Hole. We now think of Adagio Villa as "our home in Belize," and we look forward to returning. Thank you, to everyone at Adagio Villa, for making our holiday vacation perfect.

Dennis, first of all, thanks for the marvelous opportunity to stay at and experience Villa Adagio. I was afraid your staff might have to physically throw us out Sunday. I honestly can't say I've stayed in a nicer home anywhere, any time and your staff members are truly the most gracious and accommodating folks I've encountered in my travels. We wanted for nothing during our stay, pretty much. Oh, Sean loved the book about wooden power boats as his grandfather had a Cris-Craft when growing up. We both drooled over them. Marvin

Well done landscaping, beautiful art, and elegant furnishings make the villa itself a fantastic place to stay. Adagio's staff make the stay a world-class experience with their attention-to-detail and helpful, friendly nature. The natural treasures around the villa make an Ambergris Caye getaway a once in a lifetime adventure (from the view from Adagio's fishing pier to exceptional scuba diving spots nearby). I cannot wait to return to Adagio Villa for another stay.

Four days at your spectacular villa!

We have just arrived home after a fabulous vacation in BELIZE! Except for the "no-see-ums", that five of us seemed to attract, everything was wonderful: interesting learning about the different cultures in Belize, from the Garifunas, to Mayans, the Mennonite settlements, the Creole language, and Latin influences, to the natural and historical wonders of the Mayan ruins, jungles, rivers and lagoons, wild life, waterfowl and beautiful birds, waterfalls, mountains, and of course, the beautiful Caribbean sea. So much to see and learn about. However, the icing on the cake was our last four days at your spectacular villa. It was exactly what we wanted, a relaxing end to a wonderful trip. I have rented several homes from the VRBO website,from Cape Cod to Paris and southern France, but never have we encountered the gracious hospitality you and your staff provided. I couldn't believe the kitchen! I have never seen a kitchen as fully equipped, with such beautiful appliances, dishes and casseroles of all sizes, and elegant decor as that as in Adagio Villa. The bedrooms, each with its own lovely decor and private bathrooms, are terrific. Ernesto, Martha, and Francisco catered to our every wish. All the lovely appointments, amenities, and your most accommodating and friendly staff made this a vacation that we will remember forever. Dennis, I wanted to personally thank you for renting your beautiful home to us so we could experience Belize. It was truly an awesome trip and we collectively agreed it was made EXTThRA SPECIAL by staying in your home. You did an incredible job building such a fine place with every detail attended to! Ernesto, Martha and Francisco were so very helpful and lovely and were there for our every need. We loved the snorkeling and had some wonderful experiences.
