I would highly recommend this condo. It was very nicely furnished (even better than the pictures). The location was great - very convenient to the elevator. We had a problem with the A/C when we first arrived, but called downstairs and a maintenance person arrived within a few minutes to take care of it. The condo and the entire property was very clean. We declined maid service most days because they always seemed to come around 4pm when we were back from the beach and showering/getting ready for dinner. We didn't mind because we didn't feel we needed it. Having the extra chair that converted to a single bed was great! We were traveling w/a 10yr old and it was great to have this for her. We could leave it 'out' and still have the living room area to watch tv, etc. Very convenient. The kitchen was stocked with every gadget/cooking utensil/pot/pan you could possibly need -- though a spice rack would be a nice addition! Very nice to have the laptop provided. We had our own as well, but an extra is always great! Internet access was spotty, but hey, you ARE in Mexico!!! Some things to note: Las Palomas no longer provides tubes/floats for the lazy river/pool. Most ads I see say they provide them, but they don't. When we went to town to purchase, they wanted $25 for what would be a $2 tube from Walmart. I wish I had known & brought our own. The 'store' in Phase I had them for $9, but has funky hours. I heard many people complaining that it was never open (it didn't open until our 3rd day there). We also had problems with the 'provided' pool towels. First, they will only give you one towel per person and charge you $30 per towel if you don't return them. We had ours stolen from our chairs when we left to buy something from a vendor on the beach. We wished we would have just declined this 'service' and brought out own. The food at the pool bar is GREAT! We ate there every day for lunch and loved everything we ordered. All in all, a great condo and property and we will be returning often!

I had an absolutely amazing experience in this condo! The room was clean and beautiful, the resort staff was very friendly, check in was easy, and the beach was wonderful. I would recommend this condo for anyone interested in Mexico. It is a very safe place, and I personally had a wonderful experience! One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in on a vacation, and a great deal!

This room was awesome! Very well furnished! Clean! Very comfortable beds. We had a party of 5 and this room worked out just fine. Had plenty of strorage areas so everything had a place, helped to make our stay in the room much more enjoyable! You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in his rooms! Would highly recommend renting his rooms!
Owner response:Thanks for the unsolicited kind words. We visit our condos at least once a month and personally walk our units with resort staff including maids on a regular basis and continue to improve on each visit.

My wife and I celebrated our 29th Wedding Anniversary, and stayed at this property for three nights. It was our first trip into Rocky Point. The property was very easy to find. And the commute through the border was without incident. This condo is without question, the cleanest, quietest and best furnished vacation rental we have ever experienced. The pictures really don't do justice to the quality of the construction and the upgrades of the interior (tile work, interior design etc.). At the pool, look for Jaun, who was very helpful in getting us drinks or a lunch from the bar. We look forward to our next visit soon, staying at this same property!

My wife and I stayed in Puerto Penasco for the very first time. A bit of a culture shock crossing the border but soon grew fond of the surroundings. Upon arriving at Las Palomas we were very surprised at the quality of the resort and the condo itself. Very clean and very well kept. We have found there are many things to do at Rocky Point so yu can never be bored. Spent one night at the fishing village talking to the locals {I don't speak spanish} and had a blast. This condo was like home, We are looking forward to planning our next holiday at this resort. If you have any doubt about this condo or resort please feel free to contact me

We arrived and were very impressed with the condo, Cortez I-505. The level of furnishing is better than the pictures convey. Thanks for the laptop, was able to easily collect my emails without lugging another 8 lbs through the airport. We will definately return in the future and rent one of Ben's units again. Las Palomas is very clean and well maintained. Food - Dinner at the Friendly Dolphin, near the "old Town" was great. We had fish and shrimp in both an orange sauce and a garlic sauce. Also a small taco bar, Sombreros, was fantastic for lunches. Shopping - Skip downtown, the real bargains can be found about a mile or two north east of the condo. Ask the reception desk for directions to "Rodeo Drive". It is a 1/4 mile stretch of small to large shops with good parking.

Everything we needed was there! The extra oversized chair/bed was well used and the whole unit felt bigger than it really was...Great day of golf too, which would have been cost prohibitive without the discounts ! Thanks Ben!

Just home from our second stay in this 1BR condo. I can honestly say that it won't be my last. Everything you could want or need while vacationing in Puerto Penasco is stocked in this condo....from kitchen to audio-visual to a super comfortable mattress! The condo is just as aesthetically pleasing as it is convenient. Thank you to the Leesons!

This is the second time we've stayed at Las Palomas. However it is the first time we have stayed at this particular condo. Check-in and check-out remain arduous, taking more time than necessary. The condo itself is superb. It was ready to use, spotless and had everything in it you would need for your stay. The housekeeping personnell rarely speak English, but they leave everything spotless and with our broken Spanish along with hand gestures they brought us various items that were needed such as dish and hand soap. The golf course was wonderful and I enjoyed the owner's discount. There is a nice grocery store in town that is easy to get to and well supplied. Local shopping is plentiful and although the merchants are friendly, and prices are much lower than the U.S., we noticed that because of the economy, they are less willing to barter as much as they did in the past. The facilities and beaches are clean and we have never encountered any security issues of any kind. We were extremely pleased and look forward to our next opportunity to enjoy the same facilities as soon as possible.

This experience has been one of the most pleasant surprises of my life. The stay in this condo at Las Palomas is everything like it appears in the pictures, plus more. We had everything we needed and Ben was extremely helpful with the planning and preparations. I just can't offer enough praise.

One of the best trips ever. The condo was wonderful...especially appreciated the ipod docking stations in the bedroom and living room. We had great music playing morning, noon, and night! Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful place - our friends were in your 3 bedroom and that unit is exceptional! This was our first time in Phase II and we think we like it better than Phase I...we will be back!

My husband and I along with our daughter and her husband stayed at Mr Lessons 1 bedroom condo at Las Palomas. We were very please from the moment we walked in the door. This unit had all the conforts from home in an elegant setting. There were photo frames throughout the condo with step by step details on how to use all the appliances, which is very helpful when you don't understand the lingo. The unit is fully stocked with all gadgets imaginable, which somes in handy when planning your trip all you have to take is your clothing and sunscreen. The kids said that the sofa sleeper was the most confortable sleeper they have ever slept on. We agreed 100%. We loved Mr. Lessons condo so much we are in the process of planning next years trip and upgrading to one of his other condos. Dirk & Liz Matt & Megan
