Fantastic townhome right on Front St. in the heart of the Historic District. The home is 2 stories with 2 bedrooms upstairs (each with a queen size bed and a private bath). There is another 1/2 bath downstairs. Big big plus...we have PARKING. Stroll 2 blocks past the mansions for dining, a drink, shopping or a stroll down the Cape Fear River Boardwalk.
Very well appointed Italianate townhome with flat screen, great furniture, 400 threadcount sheets and duvets, washer/dryer, the proverbial porch with swing (Bridge and River View), etc.
YOU SIMPLY COULD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER LOCATION.
Over the years, the unit was used by the Film Studio when films were in town, by business travelers, and by my wife and myself as a weekend getaway. A few years ago we decided it was time that downtown Wilmington had a vacation rental and we became the first short term rental in the Historic District.
All linens, towels, incidentals, coffeemaker and my wife says I should mention the hair dryer....everything is there
Here are a few quotes from our recent guests...

Why the Owner Chose Wilmington
We love the fact that you can walk to restaurants, theater, galleries, shops and the local pubs. We are always happy to offer advice on the town.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
We enjoy having a cup of coffee while sitting on our front porch swing, saying "hey" to our neighbors. We wave at the horse carriage as it strolls past our home on its way to work or after a busy day. As an FYI - They rescue all the horses and if you have a chance to support them, well, I am sure they would appreciate it. We are also just a 10-15 minute ride to the beaches (Wrightsville and Carolina Beach).
Walk along the beautiful Cape Fear River and enjoy the many restaurants that are along the walkway.
Just blocks from our home is the center of our historic downtown where you can enjoy the many shops, restaurants, and bars. During many months we also have live music on the River and also a Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.
Owner's Map of Wilmington
We moved from California in 2003 where we lived in San Diego and Palm Springs. We wanted a coastal community similar to San Diego and the ability to take an occasional surf. What we found was the perfect spot - 8 months of warm water, great year round weather, and the occasional "cold" night to keep us honest. Sun, beaches, surf, friendly folks and a great historic downtown...we couldn't ask for more.

We had such a wonderful time at this house. Pam and Dave really did have everything we needed at our fingertips. So close to everything downtown. Wonderful, cozy decor and great layout. Plus I got to bring my dog who LOVED it here too:) I will 100% be back and rent this house evrytime I visit NC.

This was the perfect place for two couples. We pulled up in our rental car and it was great that we had our very own parking spot in the back. The home was very clean, had a coffee maker and WiFi (both very important to me!). Both bedrooms had their own private bathroom/shower which is a plus++. We were able to easily walk to the Riverfront and also downtown and do some shopping, site seeing and eating. We also could jump in the car and get to the beach within minutes or to Walmart..whichever you prefer:) . This was the perfect place for us to stay on vacation.

Pam & David, we had a wonderful time staying at your lovely home. It was so nice to see that the pictures shown here portray it so perfectly. Sometimes you might think that the pictures shown make a place look better than it actually does. Definitely not in this case. We were so pleased. It was so neat and clean and very well stocked with the necessities. It was the perfect place for 2 couples. As we all enjoying walking daily, it was in a perfect location for us. We look forward to staying again in the future.
Owner response:Thank you Jennifer! We really appreciate it! Hope to see you back again soon!

We were visiting someone in Wilmington and needed a place for our family of 4 to stay. Perfect place for us. The location is awesome. Surrounded by stately mansions and an easy walk to the restaurants and shops of downtown/riverside. House had everything we needed and having parking behind the house made our visit such a breeze. Easy ride to beach towns as well. Owner was very accomodating and made sure our visit went well. Loved that we had WiFi as well. Made a big difference for our son who loves his iPod Touch.
Owner response:Thanks, Kelli-we appreciate it! Glad y'all were able to stay with us...come back soon!
