All I can say is WOW!!! After the week me and my husband was having we could not wait to get away. The owners were very nice and helpful and this place was out of this world. My husband is the fisherman, but caught only one catfish which was good and cooked right outside the front door with the grill the owners had there. I'm still raving about this place and can not wait to our next visit. THIS PLACE WAS AWSOME!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We came to the cottage for a Thanksgiving getaway with our 90 year old dad and had a delightful time! The cottage is beautiful and we really enjoyed the quiet. The deer greeted us in the morning and evening. We definetly will come back again in the warmer weather and enjoy the lake. The cottage was clean, and well appointed and the beds were superb. Candy was helpful on helping us find our way the late afternoon that we arrived. What a glorious view to see the sunrise each morning!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We really enjoyed our weekend at the cottage. Even though it was unseasonably cold we still had fun fishing and sitting on the deck. Relaxing spot just as described! Thanks!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We had a wonderful time at the little Crappie Cottage. It was so relaxing; it was just what the doctor ordered. Our granddaughter loved the water. She was definitely a duck in water. Thank you for a most enjoyable time and hope to be a returning visitor soon. Thanks Jerry and Candance.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, pet owners.

Our family had a great time at the cottage. Very private end of the cove location. You can fish 5 feet out the back door. Feed the ducks and turtles off the deck as well. Very clean and spacious. Our family of 4 would recommend this home if you are seeking a quiet get away.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

The crappie cottage was wonderful. It was hard to find a place in the house without a view of the lake. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. The owners (Jerry and Candace) were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed swimming off the the swim dock and did well fishing from the boat dock. The deck, boat house patio and hammock were all very relaxing. We enjoyed boating and fishing on the lake. The location of this home was great, ( far enough away from everything it was quiet, private and peaceful, yet just minutes by water or road from all kinds of things to do). I thought it was a perfect lake vacation for my wife and I and our 3 sons (ages 8,11,14) we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the cottage inside and out and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you Candace and Jerry for making great vacations possible.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had such a wonderful time at this VRBO location. The house was clean and cozy. The kids loved fishing and swimming. Mom and Dad enjoyed laying in the sun on the swim dock listening to the children's laughter. The location was so beautiful and the owners had done a tremendous job landscaping. Our stay was perfect. Sweet memories for everyone!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Glad you had a good time. You also set a record for earliest swim. Can't remember anyone brave enough for March swimming.

This place was beautiful, well-maintained and really comfortable. The cove was quiet and peaceful and the views were gorgeous. The owners truly do provide everything you need for you stay besides food (even charcoal for the BBQ). The beds were comfortable, the furniture was nice, and all the household fixtures and flooring were top-notch. You can tell that the owners really care about their guests enjoying the place. I only met Jerry, but he really couldn't have been any nicer or friendlier. I can't wait until we can stay there again. We want to bring some friends along, so they can enjoy it as well.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We had such a fun and relaxing time at the cottage this weekend! It was even better than we could have hoped. The kids had a great time fishing and swimming off the docks and the beautiful cottage was a treat for the adults. There were so many things we would have liked to do nearby, that we hope to get the opportunity to come back and enjoy the area. This cottage is incredible. The owners provide everything you need except food. The fishing was good and the access to the main channel was a mere seconds. The cove is deep enough for any boat. Our 21' boat fit well in the available dock. Get up in the morning to the sunshine coming in the large kitchen windows and sip coffee on the deck. Lots of room for six adults. My family and i arrived to the cottage on Friday the 22nd of May 2009 and as soon as we arrived we were in complete HEAVEN, we could not believe our eyes the house was simply amazing and relaxing as we sat on the deck overlooking the Lake. This cottage is a rare find ! We had our annual girls weekend at the lake... and We ALL loved this place. We are planning on booking it for next year already! We stayed at this wonderful lake cabin, the first week of May. Every morning, I took my cup of coffee, 15 steps to the dock and dipped my pole in the water to fish. Very peaceful with a great view. The Owners, Candy and Jerry were very helpful and great to work with. Caution on the drive in and out, the first time, but after that, it is a piece of cake. Convenient to stores and shopping. What a wonderful cottage. After seeing the pictures and price, we were expecting to some how be let down in some way. Nothing could be that perfect. But when we arrived we were overwhelmed at how wonderful it really was. It has a perfect cove location with great views of the lake from 2 of the bedrooms. All completely remodeled with the highest of quality materials. Flat screens everywhere and wifi included. We unfortunately didn't find the very obviously located dvd's until the last days, but were never there long enough to watch tv anyway because you're usually on the deck , swimming off the dock, or fishing off the other dock. There was also a great side deck with a fireplace that even in the July heat we used frequently. Candy and Jerry are wonderful people and easy to get along with. This is an exceptional find and an Ozark gem. We can't wait to get back to what we now refer to as, "Our lake house". We've been looking for a long time...Did you find this review helpful?
