SANTA FE Eastside Gem – luxury in a classic adobe
CASA ALEXANDER is the vacation home you hope you will find in Santa Fe, offering luxurious accommodations, location in the heart of the historic district and proximity to the Plaza, which is the hub of Santa Fe life.
From it’s colorful southwest furnishings and art to the incredible architectural details such as clerestory windows, corbel, posts and beam, nichos and bancos, vigas and, the gourmet kitchen will delight the chefs among you and the wrap-around courtyard with dining tables and chairs in three separate outdoor locations will offer you dining options in the shade or sun at any time of day. The two suites are located at opposite ends of the house and offer separate entrances for maximum privacy if two couples are sharing the house. Music lovers: the BOSE system with built-in speakers will delight you. Fireplace, 3 cable televisions and wireless internet will take care of your practical communication needs. There is a spacious office (with queen futon bed), desk and built in bookcases – if you must work.
There is ample parking, a food market and two wonderful coffee houses within two blocks; walk to a variety of restaurants for lunch or dinner and to the wonderful coffee houses, galleries and shops.

About the owner: I was looking for the perfect second home in Santa Fe, and viewed many over several months. I first saw Casa Alexander on a sunday afternoon, couldn't believe what a fabulous home it was, and had a contract on it by 8PM that night, as it had just come on the market. Casa Alexander is a quintessential classic adobe in the historic area of Santa Fe, within a short walk to everything - restaurants, galleries, museums and stores. It is larger at 1900 square feet than most homes in the historic area, and boasts incredible architecture in every room, including a gourmet kitchen, an extra offices, lovely santa fe design touches. In keeping with the character of the architecture and the great surrounding courtyard and ample parking, I added very southwestern art and furnishings, very colorful, which show off the architecture at its finest. My idea of the perfect life is sojourning throughout the world which I have done on many occasions from one month to one year. And I frequently bring back many artifacts to put into Casa Alexander. And when I retire from my current PR-internet-based business, I will do much more. In the meantime, Santa Fe satisfies my yearnings for travel to interesting places - when I am not in SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, Mexico.
Why the Owner Chose Historic Eastside:
Santa Fe is this baby boomer's dream (not being an afficionado of a mono-season, the senior center or lots of old people, besides myself!) And if you are like me young-at-heart/mind/body and love adventurous activities - not the least of which is great skiing! come to Santa Fe. I love the people, the multi-cultures and the wonderful music and art.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Wonderful classic adobes features, so different from my life in DC, in the midst of a spacious 1900 square foot historic district home. Amenities include the gourmet kitchen, 3 wonderful courtyards, double office space, BOSE music system, wireless internet inside and out, spacious king suite,2-room queen suite and the close proximity to everything by foot. When I have guests, we have great privacy in that the two suites are on opposite ends of this one level home each with private entrances. Within two blocks there are two wonderful coffee/conversation houses, restaurants, a small local supermarket and restaurants as well as Canyon Road and a short stroll to the Plaza takes only 8 minutes. Casa ALexander is located on a quiet dead-end lane, and is very peaceful.
