Why the Owner Chose Grand Summit
After having spend summers and winters in different parts out West we did purchase this comfortable unit @ The Canyons in Park City. This resort boasts one of the closest ski-in/ski-out areas in North America and makes it extremely easy and parent-friendly to drop off your youngsters in the hotel based ski school or child-care facility (more details pls look at my listing description). In summer/fall time, we enjoy the outdoors for the huge variety of hiking & biking trails, fishing, swimming and boating on Jordanelle Reservoir, white-water rafting on the near-by rivers, shopping in quaint Park City or exploring the area close-by like the stunning Timpanogos Cave, Robert Redford's Sundance Resort (great Restaurant!)and the numerous waterfalls (Stewart falls)and Aspen Groves along the way.
Also I do enjoy the flexibility and spaciousness of a Condo I do NOT LIKE THE associated work coming usually along with a stand-alone condo rental. We do enjoy the amenities of a full-resort hotel including GYM, SPA services, Pool, Room Service, daily Maid Service - Voila, we got it here in the GRAND SUMMIT 4* Resort HOTEL!
We did look for an easily accessible winter resort - no hours of driving after arriving at our destination airport (like we had in COLORADO). The Canyons are easily accessible from SLC airport - it takes you 35 Min on a freeway! No winding, narrow roads to be mastered - gives you peace of mind easpecially in winter/snow times!

Wanted to leave comment on our great stay. Everything was wonderful. Great view of the mountains and resort. The resort was perfect for apres ski. The kids loved the pool and Mom loved the spa. Dad loved convenience of the ski valet. We will hopefully be back next year.

The unit, located on the 6th floor and next to a supply room (a non-guest room) provided a great view and quiet surroundings. It was beautifully appointed with modern appliances and was very clean - a lovely, cozy room. The team at the resort was kind, helpful and quick to make us as comfortable as possible. The resort itself is an inclusive haven and conveniently located only feet from the ski lifts. Thank you for a memorable stay Ingrid. P.S. - Be sure to book The Viking Yurt -a wonderful experience. We could've fit a few more with plenty of room! Plus, the condo was very clean. The convenience of staying so close to the gondola proved to be the ONLY way to go skiing out West. The luxurious Grand Summit was very accommodating to skiiers, with an apres ski restaurant and a place to check skis where you come in. We enjoyed our stay so much, we hope to come back next year! BTW--the owner provided great customer service by answering my emails quickly and recommending places to go with our kids. That's a plus in my book!

She was generous, thoughtful and responded quickly and thoroughly to our questions. She provided solid advice and helped us obtain discounted lift tickets. The Grand Summit has a fantastic location right next to the Canyons' gondola. Ingrid's condo was very clean, spacious and well-equipped. Plus, her 6th floor location provided unobstructed views of the slopes, as well as the pool and hot-tubs. All-around, it was terrific. I would recommend it for anyone. Also, I've skiied all over North America and the Canyons is definitely one of my favorites. This mountain is incredible - awesome terrain - and much better tree skiing than Snowbird and Alta. Had a blast - would definitely love to stay there again!

Even though it was colder than usual, we had a great time visiting our son, who is renting a unit down the road in the Canyons. The hotel was wonderful, and your place was perfect for our needs! We watched the snow come down, and had the fireplace going, with the football game on….the service at the hotel was great, we could use the parking in/out with no problems… It was so convenient, I would love to go back and ski there, wow what a great spot you have! Ski lift right outside the door, ski check right there...thanks for all the tips on dining and hiking in the area. I have already told many friends about it and our wonderful stay. Especially loved the bed, SO comfortable, and the fireplace in the bedroom!! Can't wait to go back again :). THANKS!!!! Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers
