This beautiful 200 year-old stone farm cottage sits on an acre of land (planted with Daffodils!) overlooking Dunmanus Bay in West Cork, one half hour west of Bantry. It is on the Sheep's Head peninsula, which has 65 miles of hiking trails (the Sheep's Head Way), several small villages (ours is Kilcrohane - church, store/gas/post office/seasonal restaurant, and three pubs.)
We have recently added a new kitchen, master bedroom and master bath to the original cottage, opening up views west to the tip of the Mizen peninsula, the mouth of the bay and the Atlantic Ocean. All appliances are new, and we have retained the charm of the original home with its stone fireplace covering the back wall of the living room. The property also has a mortar less stone barn that is in excellent shape.
There are 3 bedrooms (two "matrimonial" sized beds, a bit smaller than a US queen, and a single bed.) Two full baths. All kitchen and laundry appliances are new. There is under floor heating in the new addition. It is a charming home with a wonderful history.

- There are 65 miles of hiking trails on Sheep's Head peninsula. It is basically an agricultural area. Wonderful village with a seasonal restaurant and several lively pubs.
