We have stayed in a lot of units on Sugar Beach and this one is our favorite. It is ocean front and filled with light. The updates are so nice you want them in your home! The owners are thoughtful and accomodating, from birthday wishes to internet access advice, and plenty of supplies. Just home and can't wait to return to this terrific unit!

Our first visit to this condo was 1996 and we haven't missed a year since. It is everything we could ever want in a Maui vacation. We sit on the well maintained lawns and are just feet from the surf. Take a bob in the waves, a dip in the pool, it's all wonderful. The beach is ideal for children, no roads to cross and we love to get up every morning and walk 3 miles in either direction, barefoot. No rock, just endless "sugar" sand. The unit has EVERYTHING, and if something is missing, Barbara is quick to add it too. Lush beach towels, coolers for the Costco trips and picnics, chairs, laundry soap, you name it, it's here. It is spotlessly clean. You can watch spectacular sunsets and whales breaching, right from the lanai. Parking is safe, free and easy. The grounds are immaculate. The Wednesday night puu puu gatherings are fun, and offer a chance to meet other guests. We have made lifelong friends here on the lawn, and we gather here from Calgary, Victoria, Oregon at the same time to visit and share the past year experiences. Our grown children love to come here, with their friends, and next year with the grandbabies. Nothing beats the Nani Kai Hale, and this condo is our favorite in the building.

We did as much long-range research as we could (all the way to creating a comparison matrix of properties, and weighting the features we were looking for... my wife caught a little of my geekiness there!). The reviews of this property sold us, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that they are understatements - the location is great, the condo has everything you'll need (and then some), the property is spotless and well maintained - I could go on, but as someone else noted, if we say too much, there will be no open times for us when we want to come back! You can't go wrong with this one - enjoy your stay as much as we enjoyed our 10 days there!

Our stay was so much like being home!! All the comforts you will ever need!! I love to cook and the kitchen was sooo well stocked what a treat to have everything you need right there. And all the extras of sand chairs beach towels, from coffee to sugar and our own grocery/tote bag as our gift along with other goodies!!! This unit is so beautiful, especially sitting direct ocean front on the Lania!! We had friends over for a Bar B' Que and they seen the condo and loved it also. They will let others know about this wonderful condo as I have also shared your brochures with my friends here on the mainland!! We will be back!!! You will not be disappointed at all if you stay here!! Thank you again Barbara and John for remembering our 25th Anniversary and for our goodies you left us!! We took planning our Maui vacation very seriously, and are so glad we did! We found the place that has everything we could dream of, and more. The condo is beautifully furnished, supplied, and decorated. It has a lanai directly on the ocean that overlooks paradise on 3 sides. The area is more peaceful than any other we have seen, yet close to everything! The owners were very kind and easy to work with, as were all we met there, aloha spirit abounds here!. This wasn't our first VRBO experience, so we know everything doesn't always meet up to expectations, but this property certainly does and more! We have been patting each other on the back since we arrived that we chose the perfect place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! Look no further, you have found paradise! Mahalo.

Apparently not. Great unit,Great price, and Great locaton. This place is exactly as advertised, actually much better. The unit is clean, very comfortable, and includes everything you could possibly need. The views from the lanai are spectacular. The complex is nicely maintained and manicured. The people are friendly and social, yet it is a very quite and relaxing atmosphere. The location is perfect. You are basically in the middle of the island so everything is a short drive away. I spent weeks searching the internet for a place to stay on Maui. Believe me you will have a hard time finding anything much better than here. We are most definitely coming back to this unit. This is a 5 star location without the extra resort fees, parking fees, standing in line to check in, and all the hustle and bustle and crowds of the 5 star resorts on Kaanapali or Wailea. We arrived at the complex at 2:30pm, in the unit at 2:35pm and on the beach drinking a cocktail by 2:40 pm, are you kidding me!!

I am evidently not very good at writing reviews, so here goes. My husband and I were guests at the condo Sept 5th to the 14th and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Everything is even better than described and pictured. We had a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, two tvs and even a cd player for our Hawaiian cds. We slept on a very comfy king bed and having two bathrooms was a definite plus. There is central a/c but most days we had the windows open to enjoy the sea breeze and the sound of the crashing waves. But the best part for us was the lanai and the view. We had a complete 180 degree view of Sugar Beach and the ocean. The beach is only steps away, so we were able to take long walks on the beach. We had our morning coffee on the lanai and our evening meal there, as well. Enjoying a Maui sunset and then watching the stars come out was a perfect end to each day. I absolutely recommend this condo for the great views and comfortable accomodations and hope we can return next year. Mahalo!

Thank you Barbara and John for the beautiful condo accommodations! This was our first VRBO experience and you made it the best! The condo was gorgeous, spacious and just perfect for our Maui honeymoon / vacation. When it came to needing anything whatsoever, you had it convenient right there. Perfect location on the oceanfront and the views from the Lanai were breath taking! We miss waking up to the sounds of the ocean and miss Maui! The description in the listing is absolutely correct and your welcome gifts were a nice, warm touch! Definitely a place you would call home...we want to return!!! We cannot say enough about your beautiful condo and our wonderful stay. Mahalo! Mahalo! Mahalo!

Just like advertised, the condo is right on the beach with a full view from the living room, kitchen and a part view from the bedroom, so the location is just awesome. It is right next to the freeway, so you are home quicker as you dont have to drive on local roads. Not at all crowded, clean, pool, barbeque facilities, fully equipped kitchen, well furnished, comfortable bed - although a footon or a sleeper couch in the living room would have been just awesome, especially with such a magnificent view from the living room, anyway that probably was design from the owners to make maximum utilization of space. But nothing to complain about the condo ( and Iam a very critical and picky person - so I guess if it is good to me, it will be good for most people ). North Kihei does get pretty windy but it is not painful or anything, it in a way is pleasant - so we didn't mind it at all. It is a good beach to swim/play as the waves are not that strong and there is a kayak club 2 mins away which is very cool if you that activity. We stayed for 7 nights at this condo and really enjoyed every bit of it and would love to go back.

Awesome view and terrific beachfront location. We stayed in Nani Kai Hale for 6 nights and it was terrific! The condo has an awesome view of the ocean obstructed only by the swaying palms in front of the bldg. Sugar Beach is incredible and only steps away from the bldg. North Kihei is perfectly located to get to the entire island easily. South Kihei is 15min, Lahaina is about 25min and Kahalui airport is about 15min. Haleakala is 35min (it only takes this long because you should drive that road slowly in the dark). The owners were available and very helpful with some little details that made our trip easier. Great condo, good price and great value! ยท

We've been visiting Maui for 20+ years. 309 was the best. Fabulous views. Extremely well appointed. We'd rave on but are afraid that if we tell all, the next time we come to Maui, the unit will be unavailable. AB & RK

We loved our stay at Nani Kai Hale #309. Such an awesome condo just steps from the beach!!! It was super clean and had everything we needed. The location is perfect for any activites you want to do. We can't wait to come back. We are already planning a trip for next year.

We so enjoyed our time at unit #309 at Nani Kai Hale. We could not have asked for a nicer place to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It is very apparent when you walk into unit #309 that the owners have upgraded the unit and it really shows. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking items, we were able to cook and eat most of our meals at the condo (and the BBQ's downstairs are so convenient) and enjoy the lanai. Walking on the beach and being close to all of the activities Maui offers was great. We are looking forward to our next trip... hopfully we can come back during whale season... everyone we met at the condo says you can see the whales from the lanai, how cool is that?!!

We just stayed in #309 for the second time and we absolutely love it. From the stunning ocean views in nearly every room (kitchen, living area and bedroom!) to the well appointed furnishings and decor (there's no cheesy stuff that you often find with rentals) it's really paradise. Great for cooking, lounging on the lanai and the sand is just steps away. Sugar Beach is mellow and ultra relaxing and we spotted several sea turtles. The flat screen TV's, huge king bed and large bathrooms are excellent. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed 1 week in your beautiful condo. It was our 3rd trip to Maui and the 3rd time staying in #309. We feel like it is our home away from home. We loved falling asleep to the sounds of waves crashing on the beach which is only steps away. Mahalo!!!!! Hopefully we will be able to come back next year!!!
