Recently returned from ten days at this beautiful villa in La Punta, a little-known wonder on the Pacific coast of Mexico. It was a perfect choice for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. From the moment we arrived at the well-run small airport in Manzanillo and were picked up by the houseman, Danny, to the moment he dropped us off for our flight home, we were in paradise. This villa is beautifully situated with outstanding views of the Pacific. The villa is beautifully designed, and very well-maintained. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed. We basked in near-perfect weather on the villa's terraces and in its two lovely pools. We also enjoyed the private, uncrowded beach of the La Punta beach club and swimming in the warm ocean. Note: the villa's pools are not designed for doing laps; for that you'll have to go down the hill to La Punta's very large pool at the beach club. The house staff could not do enough for us; always with a smile. The villa's chef prepared really delicious meals and was completely accommodating to our requests. And we cannot forget the best margaritas on the planet, served along with the best home-made chips and guacamole you'll find anywhere. We golfed nearby amidst the dramatic views of some of the world's most scenic and enjoyable courses. And we had superb Swedish and deep tissue massages from masseuses who come to the villa. A few tennis lessons with the pro at the tennis club rounded out our sports activities. Manzanillo has some very good and fun restaurants and boîtes and bars, and the people are warm and friendly. I will also mention, because of all the news reports we see and hear in the U.S. about crime in Mexico, that Manzanillo is a safe place to visit. Only complaints we had are around technology (which we probably shouldn't have been using on vacation anyway). The wi-fi, which by the way is very fast, went down a couple of times and someone had to be called in to repair, which took a couple of hours (which is actually better service than what we get from Optimum Cable on Long Island!). And the maid forgot to pass on a phone message one day about a tee time so we were a bit late to the golf course, but it was not a catastrophe and got sorted out. Small issues and inconsequential while on vacation in this beautiful setting in paradise. I would highly recommend this villa.....indeed, we are already making plans for our next visit and can't wait to return!

My wife and I have had the pleasure of renting this magnificent villa for the past 7 years. Without a doubt, it is the one yearly vacation we most look forward too. The villa is situated with expansive views of the ocean and within walking distance of the community's expansive private beach. Furthermore, if you are a tennis player, this is the place for you. As to the villa itself, I can't think of better place to stay. We always stay in the same lovely room ( we consider it our place) and are on a first name basis with the competent and friendly staff. I consider the dining experiences four star. Can't wait till next years visit.

From the moment we touched down in Manzanillo, picked up by Danny, from the moment we left we felt like we were in Paradise. As we walked into the door of this villa the first thing we saw was the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The villa is beautiful and most important every room is comfortable and relaxing and each one offers something special. We loved the upstairs pool for the mornings and the downstairs one for the afternoons and the jacuzzi after playing tennis on the great courts just down the road. The weather is perfect for a run in the morning, beach and golf in the afternoon and margaritas at sunset. Nothing beats the sumptuous dinners on the terrace overlooking the ocean with the twinkling lights in the distance. The quality of the preparation of the meals was wonderful. As food afficionados we were very impressed with fresh array of tropical fruit, fresh fish, eggs, meat, chicken any way you wish, homemade salsa, guacamole, amazing salad dressings, and of course the baked desserts, just to mention some of the culinary delights. We were treated with genuine warmth and caring by the staff. Our every need was quickly and totally fulfilled. For us this is a perfect place for fun and relaxation. Looking forward to coming back next year.

There really is a heaven on earth. It's called Villa Las Palmas! We've stayed there twice, both times in Feb and both times leaving Florida "in season." Go figure! And, because we think so highly of the villa and the staff, my husband called two of his son's while we were there to recommend they plan their next vacation at Las Palmas. The house is immaculate, so clean. I credit this to the owner's direction and Juanita's caring so much about her responsibilities as housekeeper. Marta, the cook, prepared whatever we" foodies" asked for and gladly made special menus for those with diet restrictions. Danny, the houseman, was indispensible. He was our interpreter, driver, historian. Danny organized a couple of extraordinary lunches-one at the beach club that looked like a magazine shoot, and the other at a beach in Manzannillo where we dined on just caught, grilled fish under the palapas, swam in the ocean and walked along the beach. Another reason we loved this villa was because of the layout. The bedroom wing and guest house are seperated from the living areas affording us easy, relaxing and spacious living. The nine of us adults never felt we were in "close quarters". Here's to more fine days at Las Palmas!!!

Villa Las Palmas far exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The moment we were greeted by Danny at the airport to the first time we drove into La Punta and were shown Villa Las Palmas, all of us were very pleased. The villa was beautiful, the rooms and common areas were kept so clean which made us all feel comfortable and right at home. The view was spectacular, the pool was perfecting for cooling off in and the beaches were paradise! We feel that the staff was what really made our trip perfect! Each and everyone one of them were polite and friendly and always very very helpful! We felt like kings and queens because we were treated like royalty! It truly made our vacation so stress free and relaxing! We wanted to take Danny and Juanita back with us we grew so fond of them: Danny was so easy to communicate with and he met our every need. He coordinated everything so well and was very knowledgeable on everything from the town of Manzanillo to the running of the villa. He is such a hard worker, he helped us to coordinate our meals and plans for each day, his personalty is wonderful. We are still talking about Juanita's cooking back at home a month later. We miss her and her delicious cooking so much!!! I am the only vegetarian out of the 8 of us and she made sure to always have a veggie option at every meal for me:) I felt so special and cared for that she thought of me each meal. The meals she prepared were extravagant and so well prepared that eating her meals came to be one of the biggest highlights of the trip! everyone was always so excited to eat a meal she had prepared. We had my 2 year old daughter with us and it was her birthday while we were there.Danny bought her 2 nice gifts and Juanita and the other lady helper she had put up balloons and bought party hats and blowers so we could have a little party for her. I will never forget the smile on her face! Juanita even made a beautiful homemade banana cake for her. They all went over and above to make her bday very special. Her dad and I were both so grateful that they all treated her so lovingly! She wanted to make them all cards when we left to thank them. They are very lucky to have such great workers! We will surely visit again! Our special thanks to you for helping to make our trip a wonderful success. Heartfelt thank you to everyone, Kristin, Brooks, Chris, Donna, Eric, Degen and little Presidio

Hi Nellie, Just wanted to touch base - we had another wonderful trip! Juanita’s meals were every bit as delicious as we remember and the driver Danny was perfect, he knew the area, both in terms of travel, logistics and history! He was proud to explain many aspects of the Mexican/regional culture, history, current events, etc. so, thank you for your part in arranging another great trip. We’re not quite at the stage of planning, but am wondering how far out the house book and if there would be any deal or discount if we book well in advance and if we book for two weeks, THANK AGAIN NELLIE! Anne

We just returned home from our fabulous 2 weeks at Villas Las Palmas. Our party of ten were treated like kings and queens by the house staff. Danny was outstanding as a liaison with the locals as well he educated us about the area and the people. He took us to Barre d Navidad, Colima and Comala. All of our party gained great respect for Dan as he is a very proud man. Juanita is an outstanding cook not to mention a great singer. Shelley and Patricia never stopped working and all made sure and certain we were taken care of. We were very fortunate to learn about their families and lives and will remember them as friends. The weather was terrific, the shopping great but the staff made our holiday memorable. Rocky and Debbie Blais Kimberley B.C. Canada

Good Morning Nelly!! I want to give you news of our time at Villa Las Palmas....first we had a warm welcome from the staff who was waiting for us with a smile even when the plane was late for 4 hours[at midnight].. the villa is wonderful WOW!!!! The group was very happy the rooms are comfortable and the decoration is beautiful. Our vacation was marvelous, all members of the staff are fantastic! they really treated us like royalty, the kids were treated with patience and respect, they fell in love with Yuri, they spoiled them and attended to their every need. The meals were delicious, Juanita surprised us every time. Danny took us to Colima and Comala and we learned a lot of the culture in the region, he is an excellent tour guide...The only bad thing was to have to leave, we were almost in tears when we said good bye... We will miss them.. I can tell you that this has been one of our best vacations ever, we will definitely go back and recommend Manzanillo to friends and family. From all of our group we would like to thank you for arranging every detail of our unforgettable vacation. Julie

Hi Nelly, We felt completely safe at the house and in the entire surrounding neighborhood of La Punta. The guards at the La Punta guard gate are one level of security and they check everyone coming and going. Danny and Juanita were extremely attentive to our every need We felt extremely safe. We have also been to La Punta each spring for years in a row and are familiar with the faces of the neighborhood, from the guards at the front to the guards at the beach. Even down town Manzanillo feels safe, however we didn't venture down there, but once to do some pottery shopping. We had a wonderful trip. Thanks for your interest. Nancy

Last December, our family chose to spend the last week of the year at "Villa Las Palmas", a 5 bedroom house located in the "La Punta" residential complex in Manzanillo. Our group consisted of 9 adults of ages between 26 and 77 years and a 10 month old baby. I can confidently say that we all had one of the most relaxing holidays ever, let me make that more precise: The house itself is big enough so that we could either spend time together in comfortable spaces such as the open concept living room or dining patio or alternatively, if desired, there is an office for getting some work done, satellite TV for those who craved to watch a sports event, a movie or whatever else, Wi Fi for those who need to send a quick e-mail, a couple of warm pools or the Jacuzzi where we could sip a delicious fresh strawberry or lime Margarita while enjoying the view of Manzanillo bay. Finally we could just sit quietly to read a book in one of the many small terraces. We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling as the water was crystal clear and filled with all sorts of fish, eels, small sting rays, crabs, snails and the like. The sand and the surf were a success with the baby who spent hours discovering the pleasures of sand play and being splashed by the surf. All the above was compounded by the housekeeper Juanita and her daughter Yuri. They prepared not only the previously mentioned Margaritas but the most delicious meals, including a gorgeous New Year’s Eve special dinner. Juanita´s husband is a local fisherman and we had a daily supply of freshly caught seafood that was converted by Juanita into mouth watering ceviches, grilled fish, kebabs, cocktails and all the yummy things you can imagine. They also kept the house in impeccable condition and made our stay all the more enjoyable. You can find beautiful houses and beaches all over the Mexican coast, ¡but you cannot find Juanita-Yuri clones! They were definitely the main reason why we would go back to "Villa Las Palmas". We wish future guests the same amazing time we had. Thanks Nelly for a wonderful Holiday vacation. The Brody-Pellicer-Rumbos family

Hi Nelly, Here is a picture of our crew as we're (sadly) getting ready to head for the airport. We had to include Juanita and her daughters because they were such a big part of our stay! We had such a wonderful time - the house was perfect for our two families; plenty of room to gather, yet plenty of space for quiet. My husband took full advantage of the office, as he generally needs to work a bit everyday. The equipment was all ready to go and he was able to leave everything set up for the week, making his time there very efficient. As I mentioned, Juanita and her girls were wonderful. Everything was waiting for us just as we had requested. We coordinated the basics of our meal planning, and asked for generally healthy food (grilled or steamed food, healthy oils, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables), but wanted her to prepare some traditional specialties. We love to cook and eat, and one of the things we enjoy most when we travel is eating unique and interesting food. We thought we'd be going out to dinner at least a few times. Juanita's meals were so delicious we couldn't bear to miss one! Every meal was delicious, and her initial wine selection was excellent - we ended up buying a bottle of one of the wines to take home with us. La Punta was lovely! We all got our exercise in walking up and down the hills! The beach was beautiful and very quiet the week we were there. Thank you for all your help in arranging our vacation. I think my husband will be contacting you about next year. Thank you again Nelly, Anne

My wife left a necklace in the top floor master bedrooms...any word? Might want to reserve again for next year...how long in advance do you accept reservations? Ted

Hi Nelly: I apologize that it has taken me so long to sit down and thank you for recommending Villa Las Palmas to us...I just couldn't bring myself around to believing that I was really back home and in the rat race again! We all cannot begin to tell you what an incredible vacation we had! People donot believe me when I tell them that it was the best vacation that I have ever been and then go to ask why...I start with the fact that we walked off of the plane into 85 degree weather and were met by Baldo, who took us wherever we wanted and needed to go for 8 days. He was a wealth of knowledge and the kids really enjoyed him! I then move on to walking in the front door and being overwhelmed by a view that the website pictures didn't do justice. The house was perfect for the 8 of us. Everyone had their own space if they wanted it, but we could all be together when we chose to. By the end of the week we each had our favorite place to drink coffee, sit in the sun, read and nap. The pools were the perfect spot to cool off. When we got home I kept looking for Juanita, the wonderful woman who made us coffee in the morning, yummy breakfasts, tasty lunches, scrumptious dinners and delectable drinks, the woman who made sure that our beds were made, our rooms cleaned our clothes laundered. I couldn't find Juanita or her wonderful daughters, Yuri and Laura who helped her every day. It took me a while to realize that Juanita was still in La Punta and I had once again returned to my familiar role as "Juanita" at home. Juanita, Yuri and Laura were incredibly warm and friendly, with their help we were able to relax. We were also able to thoroughly enjoy ourselves and our children, we cannot remember the last time that we sat down as a family for 3 meals in one day, let alone 3 meals a day for one week. It was time spent with our children that we will cherish forever. We know the risk of writing such a glowing review is that Las Palmas will be booked the next time we want to visit but such a wonderful house with such an incredible staff deserve the recognition. It was also nice getting to meet you while we were in Manzanillo and we look forward to working with you on another vacation in the near future. Thanks again for everything. Cathy Kinney

This is my review of our stay at Las Palmas in October. We were blown away at the accommodations...the photos do NOT do it justice. We took a family vacation as our son is leaving for college next year, it was to be one of our last ones while he is till at home, we went with another family with 2 kids as well. The home is outstanding, furnished impeccably, the view is breathtaking! The home is clean and so well furnished for all of our needs. Now onto the food!! It was fabulous, I put 5#, Juanita was our cook along with Shelly. We would talk every AM what we had in mind for the day, fresh caught fish, Mexican food, whatever we were craving. The meals were not only delicious but the presentation was worthy of a 5* restaurant in the States. We would eat every evening out next to the pool as the sun was setting. We had Arturo and several gentlemen as our official drivers in a suburban for the week. It was great for side trips, etc. They arranged all of our activities such as snorkeling, horseback riding, surf lessons, etc. We had a wonderful time. This was not the kind of vacations any of us had ever been on. I was not sure I would be comfortable being waited on by staff, but I was amazed how quickly I adapted!!! The adjusting came when I returned home, no more fully prepared meals, immaculate bedrooms, baths, etc., We had left Paradise. I would strongly recommend this as a great away for any family, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Eileen Massie Eagan, Minnesota.

Hi Nelly We thought it was wonderful and we quickly found that Juanita cooked the best food in all of Manzanillo!! She was just incredible. The internet service was off and on but it wasn't such a problem because we were on vacation. We just cannot say enough about how well Juanita took care of us. El Tamarindo was singularly the most beautiful golf course that Doug ever played on. It was an unsurpassed birthday experience. You could actually stay at La Punta and never leave during your vacation!! Thanks Nelly. Nonie

Some friends, my husband i just got back from a vacation at this Villa, it is well maintained and clean and we were surprised with some amenities that were not reviewed in the description of the villa, like the availability of some water toys and bikes at the place. We spent a great time and the staff Yuri, Laura and Juanita was always aware of any needs, even when some of our friends decided go to the beach they set a cooler with soft drinks, water and some snaks and prepared a tote with towels for our friends. Juanita's food was great, all her suggestions for the menu were delicious. Also her Pinas coladas and Margaritas are the best. The place is always clean and neat thanks to Yuri and Laura. The only comment i have to say is that the pool stops getting sun light around 5 o'clock, so if you want to spend some more time in it you should check that the pool heat is on. We will be really glad to be back at Las palmas and i cannot wait for it. Liliana & Alejandro
