Perfect Get-away for the Entire Family

Fantastic! Upon entering the cabin, you're immediately drawn to the breathtaking view of the valley below from the rear picture windows, not that we lingered long. We were out hiking the rim trail, which cuts through the backyard, within minutes of unpacking. The kids loved climbing on the rocks and boulders behind the cabin, too. We stayed in early spring, and the flowers and butterflies were a true treat for the eyes. When we weren't on the trails, the screened porch was our constant hangout. The view, the wind whistling through the pines, and the dazzling sunset over the adjacent hills is permanently etched in our memories. We stayed on the porch late into the evening. In fact, our boys simply slept on the porch. And if you live in a city, you're in for a treat on clear nights. The stars are quite simply remarkable. As a state park, Mt. Nebo is great for the views and hiking, and staying in the state park cabins is nice, too. But staying in Taylor's Cabin, with the extra amenities and creature comforts, made this one of our favorite family adventures.

My husband and I and his brother and wife stayed at the cabin from 3-11 thru 3-16. It was a very nice vacation, and the view was awesome. The cabin was very clean and we could do laundry there if we chose to do it. The owners called us on Monday early afternoon to make sure that we had a safe trip and the we were happy with the cabin. The welcome gift and the flowers were also very nice. We actually trailered our motorcycles and then rode them everyday for hours and hours. My sister in law and I didn't go on Friday with the boys, but we stayed on the Mt. and rode bike and went for a walk while the boys were gone. We actually put on 1100 miles on the cycles in the six days that we were there. There is a walmart at the bottom of the hill that we visited a couple times for our food. Brother in law is an awesome cook. The deer were roaming everywhere. We would see and hear them in the woods on our walks. Took a hiking trail one day....just the easy one..that was kinda cool too. Got a little dark though so we had to end up on the road for part of the walk back to the cabin. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the cabin to anyone. Who knows, maybe next winter we will get the itch to get the bikes out and return to the cabin. We appreciated the chance to rent the cabin.

It was wonderful!!!! Beautiful location and extremely well maintained. It was clean, well supplied with "Homely touches" throughout and had a wonderful view right out of the door. The beds were great and we had a marvelous vacation. My oldest son slept on the trundle bed on the porch and was "only" bothered by the deer that walked in the back yard during the night. The weather was great and we enjoyed being able to start our hikes right in the yard. Watching the hang gliders off of Sunrise point was also a highlight. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a nice peaceful vacation. Many thanks to the Taylors for allowing us to enjoy their little piece of Heaven.

Perfect serenity for the young family

This cabin was perfect in so many ways. The best feature for us was the screened in back porch! Around 300 sq ft of area boasting fantastic views of beautiful sunsets, without the harassment of flying insects or the worries of our toddlers falling off. We spent over 50% of our daytime hours on the back porch. We also ventured out on some hiking along the Rim Trail. Thank you Taylors for the welcome gift and personal touches that made us feel special upon arrival, and for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. We WILL be back!

I really enjoyed the stay. Wish I could have stayed longer. Beautiful view. Very peaceful. Comfortable bed. We had to phone the owners though as we couldn't get the TV to work. But he walked us through it and all was good. Detailed written TV instructions would have been better. Also, there is no internet anywhere on the mountain and even a few dead spots from your cell phone. The house is better than the photos. Beautifully decorated. We had fresh cut flowers awaiting our arrival. :-) If you love mountain areas, this location is a MUST.

We stayed here a few weeks ago with friends from the DC area for the weekend of a mutual friend's wedding on Mount Nebo. Wonderful place! All 6 of us adults (and a baby) where very comfortable, and enjoyed relaxing on the screen porch. The view from the cabin is beautiful, and the Taylors have everything there for a wonderful vacation (bikes, games, a high chair, etc). Mount Nebo is also a beautiful, relaxing place. We just wish we could have stayed longer!

We just returned home from a week at the Taylor's wonderful cabin. It is everything they advertise and more. They've thought of many little amenities that make it so cozy and relaxing, and perfect for a family vacation. A great assortment of games, movies, books, and blankets for chilly evenings. We had no clue about the history of Mt. Nebo and really enjoyed reading about it and seeing the remains of the old hotels. The hiking was the best. Our 9-year-old son summed it up when he said "this is like paradise to me."

We had a wonderful time at your cabin in January! The kids had a blast playing baseball in the snow the first morning! It was great to have all the toys and games to play with - they especially loved playing BINGO since you had an official set for use. Very fun! The cabin is beautiful and the view even more so! We want to come back in the summer and use the sleeping porch! The kids were very disappointed they couldn't sleep out there even though it was 15 degrees during the night! Everything was just perfect! Thanks again for letting us rent it on such short notice!

With Taylor's Cabin, There's Really No Other Choices

My wife and I had been up on Mt. Nebo several times before, but from now on we'll only be making reservations here. We stayed up there for 3 nights on the weekend before Thanksgiving as part of a group of 3 couples, and it was absolutely wonderful. The Taylor's communication was clear and considerate, and everything about the cabin was perfect! We checked in late to find the light on and the cabin clean and quaintly decorated with little personal touches all over. The photos don't do this beautiful little corner of the mountain it's due. From the coffee grinder, to the grill, to the bedding, to the boardgames/horse shoes, to the thick and luxurious towels, everything was above and beyond our expectations. My wife and I love Mt. Nebo for it's beauty and go up there at least a couple of times a year, and from now on we'll only be staying up at the Taylor's; we couldn't ask for more, and can't wait for our next trip!

Bike-Riding, Board-Gamers

The house is more spacious than I had expected, and there was plenty of room for our group of 6 adults to spread out or gather round the table for a meal, without it being cramped. It was a very spacious and accommodating kitchen, more than enough cabinet space and stocked with the essential appliances and utensils. Fireplace, charcoal grill, and fire pit...I was at these more than I slept. Absolutely fundamental to the experience for me. Being ON the trail around the Sunset/Sunrise Points loop was also wonderful, Literally: Screened-In Porch....75' of yard...trail...scenic mountain overlook into a valley sloping down to 1000' below. The owners were excellent. Thank you! I cannot wait to head back, it was better than and more than I expected.

This cabin is one of our favorites that we've found through VRBO! The views from the screened in porch and the picture windows are spectacular! The cabin is well-supplied with everything one could need from cooking utensils to shampoo. The cabin is well-supplied with dvds, books, games, and blankets. The cabin would also be suitable for young children and has a highchair stowed in a closet. The directions given to the cabin were accurate, but we'd suggest arriving in the daylight if possible. We really hope to come here again!

I have used VRBO to book accommodations on a number of occasions, so I can say with all honesty that it simply doesn't get any better than this! The cabin was spotless, cozy, comfortable, well-appointed, and in a breathtaking location! Add to that the attentiveness to our inquiry and to the rental process and the convenience of the state park's amenities and it makes for a wonderful vacation. We also appreciated the tasteful decorating touches, the reading material, and just the thoughtful inclusion of toys/games for the kids, first aid kit, etc.

There is no where that I can even begin to explain what an amazing place Taylor's Cabin is. You walk in to an extremely homey kitchen, fully stocked with pots/pans/coffee/and dishes. The bedrooms are quaint and welcoming. The beds are comfortable. The living room has plenty of seating and around every corner is something you weren't expecting. The back porch is the highlight. It is a beautiful view at the top of the mountain and completely screened in so no pesky bugs are bothering you. There are games, movies, blankets, towels, washer and dryer, and so many other amenities. There is a television but I never turn it on. There are so many things to do there that you never should stay indoors for too long. I have stayed there three times now and every time I arrive it is like coming somewhere I have been coming my entire life. The trips were all different, one a friend's bachelorette party, one my bachelorette party, and one for the first days of my honeymoon with my new husband. I would tell anyone who is going to travel to Mount Nebo that you are doing yourself a huge injustice if you don't stay at Taylor's Cabin. Thank you Rusty and Nita for the home away from home. I can't wait to get "home" again soon!!

My family and I have been to Mt. Nebo 5 times. This was our first time to stay at Taylor's Cabin, and I can guarantee we will be staying here from here on out! What a wonderful place to get away any time of the year! Upon entering the cabin, we found little treasures throughout. There was a beautiful Christmas tree with a special gift for my family beneath it, short messages welcoming us, and even a Christmas arts and crafts project for my daughter. We felt welcome and comfortable! The cabin has the best view on the mountain. It is breathtaking! The enclosed back porch is ideal for families. Although it was cold, we had a great time! We hiked the trails, played at the parks, enjoyed the beauty of the mountain, and then warmed up by a fire. Mrs. Nita and Mr. Rusty were wonderful! We had to stay an extra day unexpectedly, and they were extremely accommodating. Taylor's Cabin is by far the best place to stay on the mountain! I would recommend it for both families and couples.

Ariving at the Taylor's cabin was a breathtaking moment. It was more than what we had hoped for, clean, and lot's of personal touches, and very well stocked. The washer n dryer came in very handy for us . thank you ! The large screened in porch was awesome, we would not have been able to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors if it was not for the fabulous feature ! Comphy bed's and amazing Towels.. I had the pleasure of arranging for my sister's family to stay for a night in this cabin. It provided all we needed to relax and enjoy the mountain. They thoughtfully provided some games for the kids to use. I loved the screened-in porch--just wished I could have taken a nap out there! What a wonderful cabin rental provided by the Taylors on top of Mt. Nebo! This place had everything that we needed for a great stay! We are reluctant to post our comments on this little piece of heaven as it might be booked when we want to go. However, the owners are so kind and the place is absolutely wonderful that it seems wrong not to share this great cabin. It is roomy, clean, and so relaxing and peaceful. The beds are new and comfy and the linens and towels were of excellent quality. We so enjoyed our stay and are planning our next trip to Mt. Nebo!
