"Smoky Hollow" is a spacious one bedroom cabin in a Townsend mountain community known as Laurel Valley. The bedroom has a king size bed and one bath has a Jacuzzi tub. The great room has a leather sofa and two leather recliners, all in front of a large stone fireplace. This cabin features pegged hardwood floors and a tongue and groove ceiling. There is also a sleeper sofa in a sitting area for enjoying a book or entertaining those extra guests. There is a full length porch at the front of the cabin with rockers, and a deck at the back with a table and chairs for enjoying that morning coffee or dinner. The cabin is set on a wooded lot and is close to restaurants and the national park.
Located in Townsend, "Smoky Hollow" is in beautiful Laurel Valley and is close to many activities including Golf, trout fishing, tubing/rafting and swimming. Cades Cove is 15-20 minutes away and is a historic settlement with an 11 mile loop road for car, bicycle or foot travel. There are several hiking trails, picnic sites, and historic structures to tour.
Townsend has little shops and several homestyle restaurants to enjoy. For additional shopping and entertainment, Pigeon Forge is a 25 min. drive and Gatlinburg is a 30 minute drive through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Area attractions include: Dollywood, Dollywoods's Splash Country, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, and music/comedy entertainment venues. Townsend has festivals for arts and crafts and a local fly fishing school for supplies and training for the trout enthusiast. |
