Our Sanibel Island Condo complex is directly on the beach. Our Non-Smoking, Two Bedroom, Two Bathroom, Ground Floor Condo with an enclosed lanai is centrally located on Sanibel only footsteps away from the Gulf, the pool, and tennis court.
You can enjoy water sports, cycling (over 22 miles of tropically lined bike paths), nature walks, shelling, fishing, sailing, boating, golfing, shopping, fine dining, theater, art and museums. Sanibel’s unique location lying east to west in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Fort Myers, (unlike most islands which are north to south), has made Sanibel a remarkable area for over 160 varieties of shells to wash ashore. This lush tropical paradise is only a short 30-minute drive from Southwest Florida’s International Airport (RSW). Sanibel Island remains untouched by neon signs and traffic lights.
The Island’s residents and government are committed to preserving the natural environment. Two thirds of Sanibel is part of the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge with back bays, lagoons, exotic sub tropical plants, alligators, manatees, herons, and a vast mangrove forest.

Why the Owner Chose Coquina Beach
Howard vacationed in Sanibel in the 1980's and always dreamed about someday returning. When Howard and Lois began looking for a vacation home in 2000, it was the first and only place they looked. Howard and Lois found Sanibel to be exactly the same as Howard had been describing it for years. There were stil pristine endless white beaches, a wonderful bike path, nature preserves, great restaurants, friendly and warm people and no McDonalds or traffic lights. They bought a condo at Coquina Beach on the Gulf of Mexico, with enough room for their family, a beautiful pool and tennis court. It was very charming and just what they were looking for. It was also located on the east end of the island which provides easy access on and off.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Coquina Beach is a small unique complex on Sanibel. It has only 40 units, 5 buildings with 8 units in each. Unit 3C is on the ground floor and the beautiful gulf beach is only 125 footsteps away. The complex was built before the setback laws so the 3rd building is very close to the gulf. We enjoy the convenience of the condo, it's 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, enclosed lanai porch, full kitchen and washer/dryer. The pool is right behind our building, and tennis court in close by. There are also two barbecues which makes cooking out convenient.

Howard and Lois Lorsch live and work in New York. They travel frequently to Sanibel Island in Florida to relax and enjoy the gulf beach, biking, nature preseves, and their favorite restaurant, the Lazy Flamingo.

Excellent place to vacation! Many ?14--yrs same wonderful unit. Friendly, convienient complex neat, clean and Lois and Howard are great people to rent from! Anxious for a return trip in April. Happy to be the first to add a review.
