This house was a wonderful experience. We take a guys golf trip each fall to Lake Lure and decided on this house out of 3 other choices. WOW!! The Puco's really did a great job of going out of their way to accomodate us throughout our stay. (They added a package on dish network just for our weekend) House was super clean, and gave a tremendous at home feel. Grill on the deck for Steaks was a great touch as was the Pool Table downstairs. I would recommend this house anytime/anyplace to anyone!!! CHECK IT OUT!

What a gorgeous property!! We had everything we could possibly have needed and then some! Our family spent four wonderful days here and enjoyed every minute. The location of this beautiful cabin is so peaceful. It was so nice to just relax and enjoy Mother Nature. We saw deer, fox, and wild turkeys right in the neighborhood. And the access to all of the amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort, as well as the proximity to Asheville and attractions like Chimney Rock was a definite plus. We certainly want to return in the not-to-distant future!!

Fabulous Moutain/Lake Getway

I am almost afraid to write a great review as I found my oasis at Lake Lure and I do not want to share. What can I say about this location that hasn't already been said. We were a total of 8. The layout of the cabin provided space for socializing as well as space to retreat should you so desire. We never felt cramped. Very clean, well decorated. It felt like home away from home. It had everything one could ask for. The bedrooms were all very spacious as well. Having 3 1/2 bathrooms definitely a plus. The location was perfect. .5 miles from the beach at Rumbling Bald Resort, which is where we spent all of our time as there was lots of activities going on for the children. We ate in every night as the dining room was so inviting and the kitchen so spacious. If you are looking for a great place to rent - this is it. Just do not pick a week I want. LOL!

Great Cabin For Families

This beautiful cabin was ideal for our family of 3 adult couples, our 9-yr-old grandson & his 7-yr-old sister. The layout provided both private and community spaces. The open kitchen was large enough for 3-4 cooks and allowed for conversation with those in the living and dining rooms. The property & house were well maintained and very clean. There was enough parking area to comfortably park our 3 cars. The Rumbling Bald Resort amenities were a real plus. The kids had a full day at the Rumbling Bald camp, including horseback riding, swimming, tubing and gem mining. There was a marshmallow roast and s'mores party at the beach on Saturday evening. We enjoyed most of our meals at the cabin but our lunch at the Bayfront Grill was a real treat. The sweet potato fries were my favorite. The folks at Cabin Creek Stables were very accommodating in matching the horses to the inexperienced riders. The ride through the creek and on the trails was beautiful. We were thrilled to find zip-lining at such a reasonable rate at Boulderline Adventure Programs. Rick & Carrie are very safety conscious without being too restrictive. Asheville is only 25 miles away. A day trip to the Biltmore House and Gardens was a delight.

Charming , Cozy and Comfortable

We just spent 4 wonderful days at this beautiful home in Lake Lure. It was even better than advertised. Having never rented sight unseen before we didn't know what to expect.How pleasantly surprised we were to find a home immaculately maintained, lots of room, secluded, and most of all comfortable. The kitchen had all the modern appliances you need and were beautifully maintained. The huge deck offered a lovely place to view beautiful sunsets and relaxing mornings with a cup of coffee. We can't wait until we can return again and stay longer. We highly recommend this gorgeous home.

This is now my group's 2nd stay at this gorgeous home, and once again, it was amazing! This home has absolutely everything we are looking for in a weekend getaway. We are a group that scrapbooks, and this house is perfect: spacious living room, large dining room, 3 big bedrooms, wonderful kitchen, and a huge deck. It is now definitely our "GO TO" home twice a year, and we look forward to this place for years to come. We actually worry that too many of you will find out about this fantastic house and take OUR chosen weekends!! haha Seriously, this place is beautiful and even better, the owners of this home are so easy to work with. We had a wonderful time at your beautiful mountain home. It was easy to find, minutes from downtown Lake Lure and very cozy. Sitting outside on the deck, watching the sunset over the mountains was so relaxing. I would recommend this cabin for a great vacation spot. Thanks you!

Finally found "our" place!

I am part of a group of women who get together 2x/yr to scrapbook/gossip/laugh/etc. We have searched for a place that fits all of our various needs, and after 6 yrs, we found it! This house is perfect. It is spacious, beautiful, well-laid out, in a beautiful resort that doesn't require us to get to the house by mtn goat! We didn't take advantage of the resort's amenities because of the time of yr we were there, but we loved the place nevertheless. The owners were very easy to work with and answered every ? we had promptly. We have stayed in over 10 places across this area of NC and this one is by far the best we have seen. My recommendation to anyone looking for a great place to stay: this is the one! Thank you for allowing us to enjoying your fantastic house.

Disorganized

Property owner made numerous mistakes on the correct dates of our vacation and the correct price for our stay. We had to adjust our travel dates because the unit was double booked. The house is far from the attractions in Lake Lure or Chimney Rock. If you want to take advantage of these, I'd recommend reserving a home closer to the attractions. The owner has not yet returned our security deposit despite many requests to do so.

Owner response:this is the first renter that caused serious damage to home by breaking the side off the pool table and moving the pool table which caused damage to one of the legs. Cost of repairing this damage was deducted from their security deposit. This house is in the Rumbling Bald resort as shown on VRBO, This comment on travel dates is questionable as they agreed to and stayed at the home on the agreed upon dates. Someone in their party damaged the pool table and they did not want to pay for it.
